My Papa is blind and he hasn't been able to see for a while. He hasn't watched TV in forever, just listened to it. And that's all he really can do, he can't move around much. But recently my family got him a special TV, and he can see it! Not completely, but he loves it..

I am practically blind myself, I wear glasses, I can't take these crystal lenses for granted because glasses are expensive. If I broke them then I would be distraught, I wouldn't be able to see for weeks until I get the money for the next pair of glasses then I need to wait for them to be made.
And you probably do, you don't realize that some people can't see certain colours or shapes without difficulty, do you ever openly say "I am so grateful for my eyes." I openly admire that these crystals help my vision, so I don't take my glasses for granted.

Screw those that have a negative attitude. There’s always one of them in a crowd. Congratulations at your new eyesight take every precaution to keep it going strong. I had a headache when I went to bed in the afternoon. Unbeknownst to me, when I got up the next morning, I was completely blind in my left eye. I had developed a rare form of glaucoma, that in most cases can’t be fixed. I was one of the lucky ones, through several surgeries I was able to retain 90% of my sight. Who knows why it happened or why I got my sight back...I’ll always be grateful for the second chance I was given!!
I’m incredibly happy you have most of your sight back! I often think about how I don’t think I’m not strong enough to handle blindness. I sincerely hope you retain all sight you have! Love u ❤️❤️

I had cataracts and I thought the results of corrective surgery were brilliant. This however was miraculous - God bless everyone involved.
I had an operation to remove two heavy cataracts about 5 weeks ago, so totally with this guy. I wasn't blind though that's far more dramatic
I had cataracts as well, had them removed in my early 30s. I could barely see before. I can't imagine not being able to see at all. Just having my cataracts removed was enough to move me to tears, but restoring sight completely is miraculous.

Because people came to see a reaction of a man being able to see, and after watching a video for four and a half minutes long, you get to see a whole two seconds of him reacting.
As it is, the video means more to the family or those involved. As a viewer, we needed to see another few minutes..... basically what we just witnessed was a regular eye exam until the last 30 seconds..... Still, I wouldn't dislike the video.

That would be a weird/ awsome experience to be blind for like 40 years and all of a sudden open your eyes with 20 20 vision
Plasma Skull I'm not doubting you but from experience, he probably doesn't have 20/20 vision. When people get near sidedness corrected it usually takes a couple days for their vision to completely return. I have a feeling his vision is still partially blurry but maybe it'll clear up in time or they might have to prescribe him corrective glasses. When they did the short one finger two finger test, although he saw correctly it still may be fuzzy. But there is a possibility that you're correct, and I agree is would be weird/awesome to get your vision back after a long time. It's amazing that some people get to experience that!
