Me too! It could be my first EV. I've been waiting for a number of reasons. I hope it comes here from the get go with the NACS port. I heard either late this year, maybe early next year. That's close to the timing most automakers were to have native NACS ports for NA.
In many ways Korea is already evolving much faster than its Japanese counterparts in many areas, including forward mentality. The Japanese automakers are too protectionists and too many scandals in recent years.
Hello Mari , very nice smaller Kia I think this will do very well looking forward to your test drive video . Thank you Mari as always very well presented.
The most impressive accomplishment by the Kia design team is that unlike other brands (Mercedes-Benz) that create vehicles with a Russian nesting doll syndrome, each model is distinct in styling.
I'm hearing the long range model has an over 600km range. The bottom of the boot drops to give it more depth and therefore space as well. Is the battery a NCM or LFP?
1:15 Piano black wheel arches filled with black tires and black wheels. I hate the trend to go to all black look. Please give me my painted silver wheels and body color wheel arches.
I'm struggling to see any improvements compared to my Niro EV but I guess it's just a cheaper built and newly designed to look like the EV9. I don't particularly like the overdone "Toybox" design, I think it would quickly grow old in my driveway
It comes with a 81 KHW NCM battery but has a 400 volt charging system instead of the 800 volt charging, which is available for EV6, EV9, and Ioniq 5/6.
Oh … which version? Been driving a 2020 Soul 64kW for the last three years… and absolutely love it. Just bought a decent 12V battery for it and it’s been a pleasure. Fun indeed. Especially in the mountains. Amazing workhorse of a car.
@@Mancozeb100 2022 64kWh. The car over all is near perfect, but the drivetrain is a nighmare on slippy or even only wet roads. Every drive mode above ECO makes no sense because only the front axle hops. In addition, the slip control is very insensitive, so that you often have difficulties starting off in icy conditions. No comparison to the driving dynamics and Winter performance of the I3 I had before.
@@meersde Ok. I don’t have a problem that way with mine. Would prefer a RWD alright. Soul won out over an ID3 ( Dreadful software), and Model 3 (no hatch, and Y too big , also wasn’t available here 3ish years ago) Use both Eco and Normal, only use Sport when I’m really late !
OK. so coming our with these cheap evs but guess what people. it costs twice as much or more to insure it. so let's talk about it. 2 or 3 times more to insure than a regular gas vehicle. I don't see anyone making videos about this fact. so yes. call ur insurance and get a quote for an ev. lol.
This little is super cute. I really like it. It's like a mini EV 9. Very nicely done. I love how Kia does theory OWN thing as far as how they create their EVs. You can definitely tell them apart from other EVs.
I am impressed! just wish USA KIA would make their dealer and service center experiences better.... feels like most times they are still stuck in the 2000's...................... and majority of sales people act like the ones you see on the mom and pop shops that try and rip you off
This channel is excellent, I especially appreciate the deep examination on design cues and trends that help explain why automakers built the vehicle the way they did!
I love the exterior and interior design and can't wait till its launch in the U.S! I'd love to see a comparison video of the standard EV3 and GT-line with an emphasis on the standard EV3. I think the standard EV3 has cleaner lines and I don't like the piano black of the GT-line. I also don't like the interior color combination of the GT-line. I do like the GT-line wheel design much more though! Does the standard EV3 have 19" wheels as well?
after great ev9, weird ev5, another looker, ev3. i like it, except gloss black galore outside (so it means no gt-line for me). that trunk looks like it can fit full size spare wheel. interior is great as well, maybe those arm rest in the door looks like plastic (?) or is that lid(?) part upholstered? i dont like qi charger location on the floor.... i like it comes with physical HVAC, and rear air vents as well. i love the fabric trim used in the cabin (doors, dashboard, seats...)
Unfortunately, it is not currently supported. According to the announcement, they are planning V2G (Vehicle-To-Grid) in the future, but it appears to be still in the development stage.

Kia is killing it. They have a very broad and diverse product line that provides a vehicle for the vast majority of the market. I like it!
I love your calm and concise explanation 😊 Keep up the good work!!
Thanks 😊
Yes so hyped for this in the North American market!

Kia is delivering amazing EV vehicles. Looking forward to get them here in Canada 🇨🇦

Great review! Looks better than the EV5.
I want one!!! Hope that it will be released in the US earlier than predicted.
Amazing review and I always enjoy your content! 😎💯
Thank you for watching ☺️
Hello Mari , very nice smaller Kia I think this will do very well looking forward to your test drive video . Thank you Mari as always very well presented.
The proportions remind me of the Kia Soul. I guess this spells the end of the Soul.
I was thinking the same thing. I love my 2017 Kia Soul !, but I would gladly swap it out for this car.
the way u fit inside the trunk is just too cute😆😆
daaaam this channel becoming a Mari's fanclub xD

Super well designed.
I only come to see if Mari can fit in the trunk 🤣
A nice review and a lovely looking car. It seems functional too.
예쁘다~~ 차도 당신도
It'll be a fight between this and Ford Explorer ev when it comes out.
No competition with the Ev9 tho. Has the segment to itself.
Just the fact it has a lunch box or a sandwich box while waiting for a charge to complete, makes me want to buy another petrol engine car. :-)
Your kids will thank you for buying an EV.
Isn't Hyundai and KIA in 1 mother company group? Why KIA has more interesting design than Hyundai?
very good compare to Niro is only front face shorter but everything space is better looks handling will be better

Luv it, I just hope they dont follow audi's footsteps and identical looking cars just different sizes
it remind me the Kia Soul???
Tesla NACS port for the US market?
There is no information about this yet
Hello Mari, do you speak French as well.... so cute... bisous ma chérie ❤
Mari!
It looks like a Kia Soul, upgraded.
Global ncap rating??

NCM It's not high performance, but it has cells

You are so gorgeous and charming❤ Nice presentation
cute!
A great BEV in many respects. Unfortunately with front-wheel drive. After an eSoul -never again.

Seems like a good car, great explanation. However the numerous" kinda" s were superfluous

Not my experience - and I live in a high insurance cost country. All insurance is gone up. EV not up any more than anything else.
Somebody please tell BMW this is what EV’s of today and the future look like🙏🏾
This is not a review
It's beautiful, but I see Kia still have those hamster designers on deck.... 😊
It’s an Kia Soul i3 . Ty BMW engineering lol
Shame they made this range so ugly. The recent ICE cars design language is quite handsome.
Nice car but I absolutely hate the colour of the paint on this particular EV3. Ewww
But this color is 👎 obviously.

Thanks!

Unfortunately there is little that Hyundai/Kia can do as dealerships are independent entities of the automaker. 😢
hello. that's because their dealers are usually in low income or shady neighborhoods. and look at who drives their cars. what do u expect.
@@jsundberg5542 don't be jealous you can't afford one
It seems only Hyundai/Kia aware the threat of Chinese EV getting out of bottle.
I'd prefer this over an EX30 - looks really good. I worry that the EV6 will start to look dated, even with the facelift.
This channel is excellent, I especially appreciate the deep examination on design cues and trends that help explain why automakers built the vehicle the way they did!
Doesn’t look so compact next to Mari. 😂
Beautiful Kia will do very well ❤
Kia is making 🔥 cars for the last 5 years. Plus 10 year 100,000k powertrain warranty cant beat them join them 😮😅

"plump" "voluptuous" "sexy" are the words that came out of this lady's mouth in describing this car.
35K for an EV is called affordable? 😂 that probably 40K after mark adjustment by the dealers.
You need to have a look at the price of 200bhp petrol cars.
Very clear and precise information on this new EV model from Kia, and i got to mention that you have a very balanced voice that is easy on the ears!
Thanks for watching 👀
Fantastic car. If i were to buy a new car, this would probably be it.

Impressive. For that price, I would not touch American EV in that price range. Simply to say.
Gonna be US$ 50k when released in Indonesia
I really don't like what they are doing with the headrests. Are those things adjustable at all?
Of course you can adjust those 😀
What's the electric motor power figures..
Maximum output is 150kW (=200hp)
Maximum torque is 283Nm (=209lbft)
