please if you could make a max 4 live device a "ableton scene song GP launcher " that will make posible acces all my song part via midi easy and take advantage of ableton follow actions inside the clips ..
Would be nice if there was different basic modes, like for keyboards, guitars and in my case FOH, what would be great was if you could create a virtual 19“ rack view with all plugins being shown top to bottom and controllable over touchscreen(s), the thing about live mixing is immediate accessibility to all parameters, a virtual rack a‘la imitating a real analoge rack would be a dream come true, or is there something that I have missed in the setup/views? If not then I think this would be a functionality that would be a game changer for using plugins in conjunction with a live mixing desk, like I said immediate access is the key word, if you need to go through lots of steps to get to a particular plugin then mostly it is too late. Yes I know you can do preprogrammed setups but that is only good if it is only for one band, for the house engineer in clubs or doing a festival everything needs to be done on the fly, possibly that could be a development project for Gig Performer to make a Touchscreen setup possibly with integrated knobs, buttons and maybe even faders, maybe even a mixing desk variation as well as a „sidetrack“ variation, even something as simple as a „touch and turn“ knob, essentially as I said the name of the game is speed of accessibility, or does anybody know of such a device or mixture of devices to accomplish this?
Cool ! Thanks 👍 A question : how can I automise the rackspace/variation ? Pressing play in order to have différent racksapce changing at the right Time, automaticaly, without pressing a midi controler ? I hope it's clear 😅 My english is french 🇨🇵🇨🇵🥳
There are various approaches. You can (say) automate things using the MIDI File Player and a MIDI file, or automate on beat changed. For more information, please create a new thread in the Gig Performer community forums.
Can you link many instances of Gig Performer so that they can do setlist/program changes being fired from a master computer, for example playback,FOH,KEYS GUITAR and so on, networking them all together would be amazing and then while there is more computers you could also build in some kind of redundancy
Everything is possible :) The best will be to create a new thread in the community forums as it is very difficult to run this conversation in TH-cam comments.
@@nemanjapudar201 will need to join then, have had too many bad experiences with forums that are full of amateurs that clearly have absolutely no idea of how sound works and then them beim the most vociferous and it makes it hard to plough through idiot comments and get to real useful stuff, I’ll give it a try, hopefully pros giving the tips and the amateurs not flooding the threads with too many too long too tangential comments, sorry if this sounds so negative but I literally was in about 20 forums and I left them one after another once they got flooded and to get to the real and useful stuff was like mining for diamonds
I’d love to see you do one at a live gig
Used GP for a year before watching this series. Wow - I learned a lot!
Thanks for another helpful video.
So happy you found this helpful!
Still avoiding that question on changing the brown setlist interface color. Maybe that's the big announcement next week. :-)
