Great video, guys! I love makin' these things on my Blackstone. Do yourselves a flavor, guys. Throw the cheese whiz in the garbage and use Tostitos cheese instead. You'll forget all about cheese whiz. When I make mine, I have everything on them, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and provolone. Once again, guys, great video and fantastic lookin' cheese steaks.👍👍
Haven't missed an episode in 5 years that I know of. I start getting withdrawals when I go too long without your episode! I think I've said it before - but you guys are an exact "replica" of my past neighborhood when Bill (me), Mac, and Rick would pull our grills out into the court on a Saturday and start cooking for 5 houses in the court and then folks would come from down the street! Morning cocktails like "fuzzy navels" and BM's were on tap. Sunday morning was bloody mary time with breakfast. Then the kids start waking up about 9 or 10 and come out with the pajamas on wanting something to eat! Yep - reliving my life through you guys. This was when we were all in our late 40's. 20 years has passed - but I'd do it again if we still had the old neighborhoo back. We even had weekends where we had to invent the perfect bloody mary! That was a tough afternoon - nap time! That was in Carmichael, California - suburb of Sacramento, so we never had weather issues, unpredictable storms, or a change in weather. Keep those shows coming. Bill Hudson
I was just in Philly a couple weeks ago. I had 6 different cheese steaks. Wiz Wit or cheese whiz and onions was my favorite. Locals think Pat's and Geno's is crap and more of a tourist stop. I ate both and preferred Gino's. My favorites were John's Roast Pork and Dalessandros. Both those places chop off their meat. Definitely go to Philly and try some Cheesesteaks.
Another mouth watering video, guys. I make these cheesesteaks on my griddle all the time. Unfortunately, mine are made with Steak-Umms. Any port in a storm, eh? I like the new handle “Skinny Jeff.” You earned it, brother. Chris, I love that Weber griddle, going to put one on my list to Santa this year. Nate, nice pair of shorts. The Griddle Guys rockin’ it again…
One of my first cooks, and definitely one of my most repeated. Wiz wit and I add green/red peppers which apparently is sacrilege, but the cheesesteak gatekeepers can't stop me! Great work, enjoy!
I’m from DELCO, just south of Philly. I use to make these everyday for 4 years, after high school. Ribeye sliced is how we did it. Only way. Some places chop some don’t. Genos Pats are okay, good to fill your stomach late night that’s why their open 24 hours a day!! Can’t beat a seeded roll. Good work gentleman. Tell what’s his name to hit the weights. He looks good.
Thanks for sharing this video! Amazing job Griddle guys! I love cheese steaks! My husband makes them on the Blackstone and they turn out great! Yours looked delicious!!
Love when Chris cooks because he usually goes for quality not quantity, but today you did both. Ribeye is a great all-around steak. If you can get them in a lion they are a little cheaper and lot better quality. Maybe you guys could get one use the slicer to show how much you can really get out of a loin. (Nate)Meaning steaks, burger, and sandwich thin as you did today. As for the sandwiches I wouldn't turn down any of them they all looked great. Once again great job guys.
Watching this, I realized that I’ve never made beef Phillies on my griddle. Chicken, yes, but not beef. It’s really been too hot out for the past several weeks to use mine much, but I’ll rewatch this one when the temps get bearable and try all 3. Great video, thanks!
Sorry me again from Perth, NY . I got my 36 Blackstone around Christmas a year and a half ago from Walmart for $275 and they are on the Blackstone website wanting like $5-600 for it. Timing. We used to have a steak sandwich on the menu at a pizza place and a bar I used to work at about 20 years apart. You guys as usual guessed right. Just the way we used to make them. Fun fact. If you are in Philadelphia get the traditional. Other best one I ever had was the traditional steak and cheez whiz from Yankee stadium. Great job guys. Nailed it. If it ever stops raining here I may fire some of these up soon. The steak you used was how we did it at the bar. The pizza place we used the shaved pressed steak umm style. Shaving it yourself is the right move. Now I'm hungry...
Fantastic job fellas! Those all looked 🔥😎. I would probably lean to the whiz side, but wouldn’t tun the others down ever 🤤🤣. Nice video and have a great weekend! Cheers 🍻
I did this exact comparison 2 weeks ago. My family thought provolone was the best. American and cheese whiz just overpowered the sandwich. Provolone was also the least messy.
SOB! You just cost me $70, getting a slicer to make these and slice my own jerky. Great vid! Chopped cheese vs philly cheese next vid! Have a great week, guys! Thank you!
Hey guys. Great content. If you go to Philly do not go to Pat’s or Geno’s. They are tourist traps. The McDonalds of a Philly Cheesesteak. Phillips and Steve’s are good choices.
I do Wiz wit + provolone with pickled sweet and hot peppers with grilled onion and mushroom. Sacrilege, I know... I have to have the butcher slice the rib, cause I'm not cool enough to own a deli slicer.....Great vid and I'm glad you guys were sold on the Cheezewiz, it's the real deal.
Great video guys! Prime rib sliced thin is the BEST! But your sliced steak in a box can be really bad! Doing a "Poor man's" Philly, I use ground beef, tender but affordable. Keep up the good work GG's. Thanks
They all look excellent, but I'm a wiz guy. I've used the frozen stuff in a pinch, and it's not terrible. However, you have me now researching deli slicers🙄😂 Everything looks awesome as always guys! Have you done a NYC chopped cheese yet? Gotta get that done one day!
TGG’s, great cook! I love me a good steak and cheese (that’s how we say it in Burlington 😂). I would have taken mine like Jack…steak, cheese and then add xtra cheese!! I have a smaller version of that slicer too. It’s great but yeah mines been in the garage for several years after non use. Now i have a reason to break it out! What type of rolls did you use though? I still haven’t been able to find a good rolls. Keep up the great work! -Jay
Hey Jay! We also say steak and cheese! For the rolls I went to a sub shop near by called Romanos and bought a few fresh rolls from them. Worked out great! Hope all is well buddy! Cheers! - C
Y'all can cuss after the first minute of a TH-cam video. I know a lot of us would like to hear the non Finding Nemo version of these cooks. We're all grown. 😂
I too cut my thumb on a meat slicer many years ago. I was working in the kitchen of a pizzera cutting tomatoes and YIKES !!!!!! After I felt it I was able to locate the tip and put it back on. I wrapped it up and it took..........
Another good video guys, Twisted hear. Watchin your video please remember my dad, he had heart surgery and has had some issues and in a rough situation😢 catch you later. Twisted
First time watching you. Cheese wiz ?? I was all set to be all in with you guys then Cheese wiz ? You are using prime rib and webber griddle so I’ll give you another chance.
I hate to say, but provolone cheese is my favorite, and that's Gino's way. Pats is cheese whiz, but if you go to Philly, don't go to either of those there tourist traps. Go to Dalessandro's Steaks in Philly.
I feet the pain of Nate. I flattened the tip of my right thumb cutting an onion (didn't peel off the filmy skin and slipped) in a restaurant I managed in 1987. Hurt a lot and is still flat. Still hurts when I hit a doorknob. All the blood in my Mustang on the way to the hospital... brutal.
Gentlemen, being a Philly native, Pat’s and Geno”s are not the best. The Best are found slightly outside the city. Also, those in the know request real cheese, not Wiz. Extra sharp provolone is my choice. Also, never had one, shame on you. That’s like me never having tried a stuffie, or a New Haven pie, or full bellied fried clam. All of which, I have done.😂
Just to let you all know. Genos and pats are considered ass in Philly proper. Jim’s is better but so is almost every other steak sandwich in philly or south jersey. Love you my brother but cheez wiz is just not authentic lol
Great video, guys! I love makin' these things on my Blackstone. Do yourselves a flavor, guys. Throw the cheese whiz in the garbage and use Tostitos cheese instead. Great content and Nate sporting the plaid cargos makes it even better!
Love your channel!! In the Philly area, almost all places chop the steak while cooking into smaller pieces.
The griddle is the perfect tool for making these. Great job as usual!
It really is!
Excellent cheese steak! That's the same way I make it except when using provolone I put a dome over it with a spray of water. Melts great. Thumbs up!

The meat slicer is a must when skinning a steak for this dish. This is one of my favorites for sure. Thanks for the video and GRIDDLE ON DUDES.

Provolone, onion, pepper and a bit of mayo amazing!!!

I'm shocked this was a new cook- I had to pause the video and tell my hubby lol
This is one of my favorite meals to make
One of my first cooks, and definitely one of my most repeated. Wiz wit and I add green/red peppers which apparently is sacrilege, but the cheesesteak gatekeepers can't stop me! Great work, enjoy!
Sounds great!
Nice job guys!! Provolone works for me. Cheers
Awesome! Thank you!
Another great video. I have been making these for years. Whiz is the way to go. Peppers and onions. DONE 😊

Come down to Philly I will show you around great distilleries, breweries & and cheesesteak tour.

Wow, I can't believe you have never had a cheese steak! No man that's not possible? Great video guys!
Shout out from Norway again! I never had a cheese steak before, so I might need to try it out ^^
You should!
SOB! You just cost me $70, getting a slicer to make these and slice my own jerky. Great vid! Chopped cheese vs philly cheese next vid! Have a great week, guys! Thank you!
JEFF! Man, I tip my Stetson to ya! Good cook guys.
I’ve never had one or done one, but it’s a cook I want to do
Hey guys. Great content. If you go to Philly do not go to Pat’s or Geno’s. They are tourist traps. The McDonalds of a Philly Cheesesteak. Phillips and Steve’s are good choices.
Lookin good Jeff!!

LOL, the steakum cut. I think we all know where to find those.
Great video guys! Prime rib sliced thin is the BEST! But your sliced steak in a box can be really bad! Doing a "Poor man's" Philly, I use ground beef, tender but affordable. Keep up the good work GG's. Thanks
Great video. A new sub and former New Englander in the mid west and you guys make me feel like I’m back home. Any BBQ videos coming up?
Thanks for the sub!

Looks good, not a fan of cheese wiz though. Cooper cheese is 🔥
16oz Philly steak sandwich is the only way to go Nate! lol!
Y'all can cuss after the first minute of a TH-cam video. I know a lot of us would like to hear the non Finding Nemo version of these cooks. We're all grown. 😂
Hey Guys that looks YUMMY YUMMY 🤤 😋
I too cut my thumb on a meat slicer many years ago. I was working in the kitchen of a pizzera cutting tomatoes and YIKES !!!!!! After I felt it I was able to locate the tip and put it back on. I wrapped it up and it took..........
Oh my
@TheGriddleGuys what brand/model?
Fun fact II, add eggs and you have a hell of a breakfast sandwich on a sub or hard roll...
Another good video guys, Twisted hear. Watchin your video please remember my dad, he had heart surgery and has had some issues and in a rough situation😢 catch you later.
Twisted
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family brother.. Much love--J
Would love to have a meat slicer like that!!! 😃👍 How do you sharpen the blade?!
First time watching you. Cheese wiz ?? I was all set to be all in with you guys then Cheese wiz ? You are using prime rib and webber griddle so I’ll give you another chance.
I love making cheese steak. But I use “Jeff’s famous cheese sauce” rather than cheese whiz.
I hate to say, but provolone cheese is my favorite, and that's Gino's way. Pats is cheese whiz, but if you go to Philly, don't go to either of those there tourist traps. Go to Dalessandro's Steaks in Philly.
6:18 back to the garage
I'm from Texas and I like the provolone better to. They are all delicious though! Jalapeno's bring it to a new level for me. Sorry philly folkes!
I feet the pain of Nate. I flattened the tip of my right thumb cutting an onion (didn't peel off the filmy skin and slipped) in a restaurant I managed in 1987. Hurt a lot and is still flat. Still hurts when I hit a doorknob. All the blood in my Mustang on the way to the hospital... brutal.
Ouch! - C
Where did you get the meat slicer??
Ordered from Amazon. It's awesome! - C
What brand/ model?
Hey Jeff. Surprise us by shaving off the beard. You would look twenty years younger. great videos👍👍👍🧔🧔🧔🧔🧔🧔
The only reason to go to Philly for a sandwich is so you don't have to clean up, because they can't taste as good as yours looked. I'd eat two.😛
Gentlemen, being a Philly native, Pat’s and Geno”s are not the best.
We have some great cheesesteaks for sure- just dont get sucked into the tourist trap places 🤢
Just to let you all know. Genos and pats are considered ass in Philly proper. Jim’s is better but so is almost every other steak sandwich in philly or south jersey. Love you my brother but cheez wiz is just not authentic lol
