I had no idea that Stampy's Minecraft videos were this complex from a narrative standpoint as I was a little too old for his videos by 2013 as a typical 13 year old who was hyped for GTA V with along with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, BioShock Infinite etc. Also was deep into Skyrim still as well so Minecraft videos aimed towards kids were the last thing on my mind. Watched alot of Yogscast though at this time throughout my teenage years but never gave Stampy too much thought until watching your time travel theory video.
Stampy studied film production in college, so he has allways had an interest in storytelling. Just watch any of his "Stampy Shorts" those are pretty much short films, each with different gemeres, themes, and cinematography.

Wonder quest added so many new possibilities and inconsistencies. Stampy and keen didn’t just travel to ancient Egypt and they went to many more time periods. There is also evidence of more timelines with the fact that at the start of s2 there is a wonder room in his house while in the lovely World Series it isn’t even mentioned. This was a great theory. It’s crazy that there are literally endless timelines in what looks like a normal let’s play world.
You make really solid Stampy videos! I hope you continue doing these because the Stampy video essay scene is just full of TH-cam channel downfall videos and nostalgia bait at the moment and it's rare when people talk about the actual videos themselves. The variety is well appreciated.
These 2 videos have been incredible, but one small thing I noticed is that you split Cryogenic into a new timeline under the assumption that Stampy time travels. This, however, is not the case. There should only be 2 Timelines, Prime and Continued. Stampy goes from the Prime timeline to the Continued timeline, realizes he went to far back, and Cryogenically freezes himself in the ice. During this time, he doesn't switch timelines, but rather sits frozen for millions of millions of years, until the events in episode 92, and continues from there. Any given Stampy only swaps timelines once before the events of Wonder Quest, not twice.
Since wonderburg is a different world to Stampy's lovely world, it's possible time travel works differently there

There is an Iballisticsquid Time Traveler Series where Stampy time travels was also those videos start in December 2015. This is mostly likely no cannon.

Him holding the sword at the end of episode 100 could (and most likely would) be a mistake, but either way him holding a sword or not wouldn't change much and I'd argue "sword" timeline would rejoin with "swordless" timeline and become the "continued" (or even prime) timeline after the camera in the beginning panned away.

Maybe the WQ time machine works differently than the SLW time machine. WQ's has multiple timelines but people's memories are preserved, and SLW has a single timeline. About the sword, I'm not sure. Maybe there was some kind of thing that made the sword invisible to other people.

I feel like Stampy prime was not saved by future Stampy but still went back in time afterwards some time. So prime Stampy who started time travel was the one at the start of the episode and saved Stampy which made the timeline we follow.
This makes sense. Hit the target dies and spawns in the nether before episode 100 but after episode 100 whenever hit the target dies he respawns

Something worth considering, wasn't Wonderberg a different universe entirely? It's laws of physics, and therefore laws of time travel, could be different from Lovely World.

I had no choice.
One thing you keep missing is that the Time Machine vanishes in one timeline. Let me explain!
Stampy freezes himself, Wakes up and then goes and uses the time machine to travel to the future so he can get back to the time relative to himself in the timeline.
HOWEVER
That means that the Stampy he saves no longer possesses a time machine creating yet more branches in the timeline and how can the time machine be there in the future unless the timelines split. Stampy makes no mention of having to rebuild the Time Machine.
OR
If you are partial to the one timeline theory. A second bootstrap paradox is created around the time machine, meaning you end up with two time paradoxes across one timeline.
this is a good thing to point out, but i dont think the time machine travels along with the user, as least from what i can see
@@SausageWizard That's actually a good point, at which point, it's not a true time machine as that would travel with you.. It's a Time Cannon or Time Jump. However isn't there a possibility that Stampy died in one timeline as his future self could not save him therefore causing one instance of the Time Machine to not exist.

I love this theory and it for sure could link to how he would end this series. In Episode 100 of lovely world came out in 2013 and Wondered quest started in 2015, In the Magic Animal Club Podcast episode-19 he states that he had the ending of lovely world already planned out and yeah he could have changed it but now its got me thinking lol.

If you go back in time and change something in the past it already happens meaning there’s 1 timeline that Stampy gets moved through
theoretically, a bootstrap loop could include several timelines enclosed within.
assuming a closed loop, the timelines would all follow the pattern of stampy arriving in the past and freezing himself, normal continuity until ep. 92 where time travel stampy saves present stampy, then the stampy swap of ep. 100, with any given amount of timelines eventually leading back to the original, all only distinguished by minor differences such as what is or is not being held by time travel stampy at any given time.
and to account for the idea of whether or not everything is predetermined we can reference homestuck's idea of dead timelines, or consider the possibility of continuous timelines wherein the time travel simply does not occur.
to account for wonder quest in this theory framework, we first need to acknowledge that wonder quest takes place in a different dimension, with different timelines and possibly a general timeline instability and/or different rules for time travel entirely

I really like these videos, and if you want more ideas for lovely world theories, something that I've always wanted to look into, but never actually cared enough to is veeva dash, she kinda just shows up, like sure we learn that she's buddies with htt, but it not really clear why, and interestingly, she seems alot more 'reasonable' than hit the target, seeing as she spared, and even worked with stampy on a few occasions, not to mention her being a helper for her first few episodes, even if stampy himself says that she didn't seem as interested as the others. All in all I just think she's the most interesting character in lovely world, genuinely a more interesting than even stampy, at least to me.

This brought back memories I didn't know I had... it was so long ago when I watched that video, before I even got Minecraft, and Stampy's videos were a big part of why I did. This wasn't something I watched very often, because we couldn't afford internet, so I could only watch TH-cam when I visited my grandparents or somewhere else that did, but I LOVED it and HAD to get the game. My family somehow scraped together the money for my birthday in 2014 to get it for me and an Xbox 360 to play it on (I think because it's what Stampy played on lol). I played it obsessively, to an admittedly unhealthy degree, but it got me through my crappy childhood and I still play it today (although on PC). I haven't watched anything from him in years and completely forgot about it until your videos showed up. BTW, I've actually never beat the game, because I was more of a creative mode player, among other reasons, but I hope to at least kill the ender dragon before the 10 year mark. I shouldn't rant any longer lol

Here is my attempt at explaining the Original Stampy paradox:
Since we know that Original Stampy couldn't have had a future Stampy to go back in time to its own timeline (what I will call the 'Original timeline'), then, as mentioned in the video, Original Stampy would not have been saved during the events of episode 92. To explain this, I present two assumptions:
1. Hit The Target wins in Original Stampy's episode 92, stealing the dogs but sparing Original Stampy's life
2. We follow the POV of Prime Stampy throughout the entirety of the Stampy's Lovely World series
I will assume that both are correct for the formation of this timeline. I will also refer to each Stampy and timeline as either Original, Prime or Continued, whereby we watch the events of the Prime timeline up until episode 100, and watch the events of the Continued timeline after that (As this follows the POV of Prime Stampy). This also means we do not see the events of the Original timeline. With that said, here's my theory for how the timelines would occur:
The events of the Original timeline occur normally up until episode 92, where Hit The Target wins and steals Original Stampy's dogs. This is the event which causes Original Stampy to go back in time (to save the dogs rather than eat the cake). Original Stampy appears just before the events of Episode 1 of the Prime timeline, where he cryogenically freezes himself until the events of episode 92, where he saves Prime Stampy, then travels forward in time to the events of episode 100, where he can be seen in the corner of the POV of Prime Stampy (Since no paradoxes are caused by this, a new timeline is not formed by this time travel). Since we do not see the POV of Original Stampy, it can be assumed that Original Stampy simply isn't holding a diamond sword (like Prime Stampy was at the end of episode 100), which explains how the Stampy seen in Prime Stampy's POV at the start of episode 100 isn't holding a diamond sword. Since the events that caused Original Stampy to go back in time in the first place were completely different, it can be assumed that he would act differently during the Prime timeline. From here, Prime Stampy travels back in time to the Continued timeline, and Original Stampy takes over the events of the Prime timeline. From this point onwards, we are watching the Continued timeline through the POV of Prime Stampy. Finally it can be assumed that the Continued timeline Stampy simply sees Prime Stampy holding a diamond sword at the start of its own episode 100, since we do not see Continued Stampy's POV to say otherwise.
Three conclusions can be drawn from this theory:
1. The Original timeline is completely lost, with no Stampy existing within it
2. Original Stampy does not know what happened between episode 92-100, as Original Stampy time travelled past these episodes
3. Every timeline after the Continued timeline is in an infinite loop with one another, where each new Stampy sees a Stampy holding a diamond sword at the start of their episode 100, with each new timeline being taken over by the Stampy of the previous timeline
This theory is really good, and is something I never questioned a few years ago.
But there is one episode which might be important...

I really like these time travel theories for LW, although I'll admit that my knowledge for Wonder quest is pretty limited. I always known about it, but never really watched it (although I know that it was cancelled after 2 seasons when the companies that were part of the series pulled out which is sad to see).

My theory is that the video is exactly how it's presented, while yesterday B2 Stampy's in the moment once the Stampy from the beginning of the video time travels he will eventually become the Stampy at the end of the video to me the only way it would have fully committed to Stampy's If Stampy interacted with the Stampy at the beginning of the video and in my opinion the sword thing is just a continuity error though in Stampy's. although in a top 10 video he made he said that the ending basically means that there could be an infinite supply of Stampy's

I think this theory is cool but I think the bootstrap theory or the single timeline theory makes more sense imo, it does mean that everything is predetermined tho so if time travel was real I wouldn't like it to be this form of time travel that exists because we wouldn't have any choice if we knew the future. With this time travel theory Stampy going back in time to fight hit the target is an event that must happen so even if stampy witnessrs another stampy fighting hit the target for the first time it just means that was always meant to happen and it always will happen stampy going back in time freezing himself and helping himself had to happen, the entire timeline of the universe isn't happening in real time but has already happened and we are just watching from start to finish. The sword is a bit annoying tho, I think it was just a mistake made by stampy not thinking much of it but an in universe reason is that the loop has two variations one with a sword one without one, or the loop isn't always the exact same, things can be different but some events have to happen like in steins;gate.
