Good morning Lauren great song sitting on the dock of the Bay by Otis Redding love the Way you get into the classics like I said you’re amazing thank you for being there for us
Thanks for this video. This is one of all-time favorites, though playing it is beyond my skill level at this point. One of my favorite parts of learning to play guitar is having these songs outside of my comfort zone that I can work towards. It’s really cool to see how you first present songs with different chords & strumming patterns and at first I am sort of confused. But then when you put it together, it’s awesome, to see. Love the way you teach, you meet the students where they are.
a great song, i always use that to warm up, but i do it with G , B7 , C and A for the verses, and G, E and A for the chorus, also walk up to B after the G, and down again from the C to A in the verse. when are you going to do something on that nice Gretsch hanging there ?, some blues licks maybe
I will never be a Donald " Buck Dharma " Roeser . But you are one fine guitar teacher . I actually think that ,Don is one of the most under-rated guitarists of all time . I have been listening to , BOC since the late 1960's .
Thank you, Meghory for the recommendation. I get lots of song requests so I cannot guarantee that I will get to it, but I will definitely add it to my list.
I wanna play the beautiful game while I'm in Brazil 'Cause everybody plays the beautiful game out in Brazil Don't you wanna play the beautiful game out in Brazil?
I could already play this song before I saw your lesson....you did my head in by trying to explain it... and then when you played it ... i just thought you had it wrong! Why are are you playing that B chord??? So many other options for a B and you play that B barre chord which just sounds wrong? Why not a Bm7 or something close to that? I think you over complicate it al and don't play it very well. A very simple song the could be played better if the chords were walked down, you seem not to be able to do that. I have told my beginner friends not to watch your lessons. I am sure you do a great job, but I have been less than impressed.
David, based on your other comment on my other video, you're being a total arse. I explain in the video there are many different B chords. Bm7 is an option as well. There is a walk down in the song. I chose not to include it for this tutorial. It's obvious my teaching style is not compatible with your learning style. I would highly recommend you fix that attitude of yours. Life is too short. Hope you have a lovely day and enjoy your guitar journey with a teacher of your choosing.

I wanna play the beautiful game while I'm in Brazil
'Cause everybody plays the beautiful game out in Brazil
Don't you wanna play the beautiful game out in Brazil?
A7 is more effective than A surely
There are probably some 7s but kept it straight forward
