  • In August of 2023, my buddy Stan and I flew to Billings MT and rented Royal Enfield Himalayans to do the Wyoming BDR and some more tracks on a 10 day trip. Our route comprised of a loop of the BDR going backwards north to south, then picking up more or less the Great Divide route up to Tetons NP, then back to our start in Red Lodge MT through Yellowstone. It was a fantastic adventure, each day was full of great scenery, great riding, and always some kind of surprise.

Not a lot of variety in the video, but that's kind of how the day went. We got up, rode some excellent dirt roads. Stopped in Wamsutter at the Subway by the interstate to get a sandwich for lunch. Then back on the dirt roads through the basin west of the Wind River Range, and cruised in to Pinedale. We went to the Brewery for dinner then back to the cabin hotel we stayed in and relaxed.

Thanks John... Your camera really captured the moodiness of the day with it's light settings. Very nice... beautiful vistas and horizons! 👍🙂

Love the hummingbirds, and the ride. I have to make time to go out west and ride. Thanks for taking us along.

the Humminbirds were awesome. They were on a migratory path and the owners of the ranch had feeders everywhere for them.

Great mood and tone in this video. The scenery and the backing tracks are well melded. Any comments on retracing parts of the TAT on a more capable bike?

Thanks. Yes, I’d like to go back and hit the Alpine Loop passes and White Rim Rd on my DR650 or something beefier than the CT125 one day

Oh if you are referring to this video in particular, the TAT section here was not part of the route Ang and I did in 2021

@@JohnnyPowRides I understand. My mistake. I had it in my head somehow that you were riding some of the sections of the TAT that you and Anj had ridden in 2021 on the CT 125’s. (I was wondering how much of a difference you felt between the two as they are different bikes altogether.)

Thoughts on the Himalayan thus far? It’s very tempting due to the price but living in Nebraska I think I just have too many hiway miles to get to the good places to ride. Not sure the little 400 would be the best. Great video as well.

So, I did own a 2021 Himalayan, the 400 like in this video. I sold it - not enough for me. But then, last summer of 2023 we rented these for this trip because it worked out and they were cheap. I wouldn't own another. The new yet-to-be-seen 450cc Himalayan looks really interesting to me, though.
