..in the year of 2717, on Kepler 186f, humanity seems to achieve the technological goals set for terraformation of a new home. A plan stretching over centuries, Earth United invested pretty much everything they had into Plan B, and now, we seem to be ready to leave in numbers and let mother Earth to rest. As we learned to value life more than death, Adam M. Thomas became one of the lucky ones sentenced for their crimes "optionally". Like we all, he knew a lot about mankind's ambitious plans of building a fleet in space, so he agreed with minor hesitation the shortened sentence of "live and work" over "live and let die". He was promised not only conditional freedom of movement, but most benefits of the healthy society he used to be the part of. In regret of his crime, he was told of wealth, healthcare, enforced law and forgiven sins, the only thing he had to put into consideration is the complete abstinence of his former relations - as the "isolated task" individually allocated to each prisoner was at the top of mankind's secret, and subject of a routine frontal lobe erasure, once done. What he hasn't been told were classified conditions of this second chance, especially the "uniform". Primary organs containing his biological conscience were transferred into a mechanical shell able to survive low-cost deep space travel, hostile working environment - and to eliminate fatigue. Horrified and confused when he first awakens to start Day 1, he remains unsure if it is better or worse to stand up, than it was on his last day on Earth, in his 51 year old, weary body - which is now left in the "Locker Room". Certainly not a face to look at in the mirror, but certainly a hand to work with. However there is one more thing he must learn of unwillingly. A seemingly stagnant conflict between men and a man, who now rules what was once all created by us. Formerly a prisoner himself, now a king of a kind, known as the Architect. With motivations unclear, both a cooperative friend and a fearsome foe with the intention of peace, but enforcing his ways of the Construction. I could see this being turned into a really high budget movie and would watch it even if it's like 3 hours long. I'm more impressed by the film than Unity's graphical capabilities. Unity's graphical capabilities aren't bad, it's just, this film, was really really creepy and interesting.
+Blyat Man my version is a little different: imo those mechanical bodies just aquired their souls, and those soldiers watching after them actually had deal with 2 strangers - hundreds of robots were sold.
In ancient tales there are stories of people being sent away in isolation for all eternity, never dying, never eating, never loving...eternal boredom. Maybe this is that punishment made real with science?
Omg, I love where this story's going! Main character is trapped in the body of a robot endlessly following these guys around, coming to senses and we can follow his journey to break free and back into the world of "the living". I want to see that movie! a Sequel! :D
Destiny cost $500 million to make, GTA V cost 270 million and Star Citizen is currently around 120 million. So it could be done.... about 10 years from now.
Dave Callanan Destiny cost is not 500 million$ , the price was for a trilogy and most advertising. Star citizen is not completed yet(and maybe will never be).
+Robert S but they are already in alpha testing for star citizen so most of the money is already spent and only some work is needed expanding with updates

motion blur is very taxing so having full motion blur render in real time at the level of quality really shows how amazing this technology really is this at the end of the day is a tech demo this was made to show potential buyers what they can achieve if they bought this software
vennthrax Uhm there is a free version too ;) Artifical Motion Blur is always weird. But in this tech demo in every slight movement there is too much motion blur.
Motion blur can be annoying but it's okay. Be glad about the fact that they didn't use 1000000x Ambient Occlusion/Dynamic Light and Lens Blur like many games do. Truth, this type of cgi looks great standalone, but when u put in live action people and stuff around or with it, it stands out.. u hav to be able to blend the cgi w the real part post production or it doesnt hold up well... rewatch a old but highquality movie wcgi, early apiderman trilogy, and yeah it looks good, but after so many years n such improvement u can still see the cgi parts dont blend as well in the older stuff.. ok ur welcome
Seeing this "movie" in 2019 and is unbelievable! Today, almost 2020, we have NO GAME that comes close to this quality, even with much more powerful video cards. How is this possible?
Technically, a few games have come close (if not on par) to this quality... mainly Death Stranding and DmC 5. Then you have others that have achieved incredible visuals in different art styles such as Gears 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, FFVII Remake and Cyberpunk 2077.
Unity always has some really interesting/amazing art direction with their short films, in a way that no other engine company does. They'll show something pretty or shiny but not outright artistic like unity will.
No it's camera near plane clipping. A unity camera has two planes that if an object is behind the near one or further than the far one it will not render. You can see it in a lot of games.
*Any 3D Computer Camera" not only Unity ones, you can't have 3D projection without the two planes slicing the pyramid of perspective, this is how people did it even in OpenGL.
+Андрей Карпенко actually it's funny you said that. Soma had a trailer a few years before it came out, and the game was completely different than the trailer. Damn teasers.
The robots were humans at first. Their consciousness have been transfer to these robots. The robots were probably criminals, the felony number and their orange "overalls" hint at that, so in the future if you commit a crime you won't be put in a cell instead you will become a robot. Probably in the lines of a slave. The "shaman" & the samurai seem to have been in the same situation as the other robots but they managed to escape from all that. Now their quest is to help other robots, probably with justice as motivation. They may be building an army? Which then in the end will end up in a revolution leading to the extinction of mankind? I don't know. Remember that the film has the "Adam" as title. Which means that it has some biblical implications, the "shaman" may be Moses, leading the robots, who are going to represent the slaves in egypt. Our protagonist may be one of the very first robots to be set free henceforth Adam, the ever first robot born in a new world with new possibilities, first of his kind. Like Adam was the first man.
And the panel also says "Felony code 227900" so ya, prisoners released for some reason. And since the panels were wiped I agree with the Moses analogy. Taking the slaves and wiping their sins away.
Unity technologies has a full view working for it: Unity devs are normally solo indies, or get-rich-quick N-CODs who just rip off the latest Clash of Clans or Candy Crush.
Keep in mind that you can render much more detailed graphics when you don't have to worry about things like AI, a sound engine, ballistics calculations, etc. consuming processor cycles - you might have 40-50% less CPU power available for graphics in the middle of gameplay. I'd also wager that the unity guys spent weeks, if not months, working on this one cinematic. When you're making a game you simply don't have the resources to devote to quality of this level unless you're a AAA studio, and if that's the case you're most likely using either the Unreal engine or an in-house proprietary engine like Frostbite or Fox Engine.
even GTsport is turning off sexy-visual replay-fx so that it can RUN @ 60 fps on PS4 - something needs to 'change' somewhere... or this'll never happen ingame.
What everybody's said in the replies is true, a film is much much easier to optimize then a full game. But you also have to remember, the engine doesn't suddenly make a game look pretty. If you want a game to even look half as good as this, then you need to have skilled people who can make use of the engines capabilities. A game engine that is so indie friendly as Unity, is going to of course have games that look bad and play bad, but it has nothing to do with the engine. Engine's that cost 100,000s of dollars to license aren't exactly going to be licensed to make bad games (hopefully). Admittedly UE4 does have higher capabilities and is very indie friendly, but besides that there isn't much (though not as hobbyist friendly, in my opinion).
Y ese par de payasos todos grandotes de que carajos son. Me imagino hombres así y que a la hora de la verdad ni sabrán hacer una suma, ni cocinar un huevo 😹😅😂😁🤣🤮🤧
And from what I heard from some asshole in the comments, he read from other more polite people that making this into a game would likely not result in the same quality content that took the creators of this short film many countless hours to make. Now if he'd just stop being a dickbiscuit about someones obviously sarcastic comment about him wanting this concept to be a game, but in all obviousness would be impossible to recreate as said game.
+XBloodyBaneX just what i thought. i imagine a dystopian world, maybe in the same style as fallout. you were a human once and your personality was transferred into this robot. as you explore the wasteland, you start to learn more about your live before all this. it would be pretty cool if you could switch or modify your own components and so on
This is great! all aspects of the film were superb, but the camerawork stole the show! it complemented the feel and tone of the film so well, and it kinda reminded me of mgsv: the phantom pain, which is a huge compliment! This must have taken a ton of work, so cheers to everyone @ unity!
"To make Adam, the Demo Team developed custom tools and features on top of Unity including volumetric fog, a transparency shader and motion blur to cover specific production needs. We’ll make these freely available soon!" In other words: THIS IS NOT Unity, but 3rd party software.
So what? Its 3rd party software. Without it you can't do it. Unless you build those tools by yourself or if you try CryEngine or Unreal Engine 4. There you have all the tools you need. ;-)
Hey! I don't want to start a flame war. The thing is that this video is awesome. BUT it was not made in Unity. It was made with 3rd party tools: "To make Adam, the Demo Team developed custom tools and features on top of Unity including volumetric fog, a transparency shader and motion blur to cover specific production needs." My point is that if you need to build those kind of tools on top of an engine, that is because it is not a good engine. You don't need to do that in CryEngine or even in Unreal Engine. Trust me. I am a game developer and I've worked with all of them: Unity, UE4 and CryEngine.
I didnt know Ep 2 and Ep3 were part of this story. I went in blind onto the netflix series and was completely lost and was trying to gather info on my own. Glad I found this place.
Here are some mistakes I found and some pointed out in the replies: 2:12 On the left a bot pops up out of nowhere. Only their feet have reflections in the water puddles. The foot of one of the bots in the front left passes through a bit of the ground. 2:22 On the right there is a bot passing through another one. 3:22 The toes of the bot standing up pass through the floor. Some white flashing in the water puddle reflection on the far left. 4:18 Some of the leaves on the ground show z-fighting. 4:27 Some z-fighting on the building in the back, mainly shadows and the letters "AD". 4:49 The transition between the "turn around" and "walk" animation is not well interpolated. The looping of the walking animation isn't seamless. You could see some jumping in his position for each walk cycle. 5:00 Some of the foliage doesn't move at all (no wind is blowing on it). Also noticeable at 3:38. _BTW don't have anything against Unity. This is awesome. I just thought it would be interesting to see some criticism in between all the comments praising the graphics or trying to interpret the story._
That sunken feet is actually like putting weight on left leg when leaving solid concrete ground, and sinking a bit in soil? All well spotted though I admit your third eye :D
Lol, Unity is a game engine, like Epic's Enreal or EA's Frostbite engine. You just said to give 600M to software. Anyway this was created by Oats Studio and which was created and is run by the guy who wrote and produced District 9, Elysium, and Chappie. Theyr're two more episode on the studio's channel.
They got freed from their sins by a Moses-like character (firing out the circuits on their felony tracker/display) and left Egypt...I mean the prison :D This is some kind of Exodus-story. They begun a new life, crossed the Red sea, Moses got the tablets and all that...and we know that story from that on.
***** Yeah, and instead of two stone tablets they just get an iPad to see the 10 points of Terms and Conditions. And the cross the red sea of KoolAid and kill the saviour lord Jesus2.0 then, 3 days later there comes J2.1 and I dunno, I'm just making this up on the fly xD
This is a work of art. It looks like the robots are humans serving some kind of penalty or punishment their brains have been transferred to these robotic bodies and now they are in prison, it seems a lot because the robot at the beginning of the short film tried to take what he thought was a mask without knowing much well what was going on
Well my theory on the story is similar to others. They're prisoners linked to a robotic body. Their consciousness isn't moved, its just linked. Their human body is stored somewhere hooked up and linked to this one in a compressed "library" sort of underground facility where prisoners are the books, where their bodies are kept alive on machines, while their bodily functions such as muscle movement and breathing is shifted to the robotic body. The robotic body is their prison, as it shows when "Adam" strives to breath and struggles to get free of the body in the beginning. Its frustrating and definitely feels like their body is meant to be their prison. They are then sent to exile in this desert area (a bit toxic by the looks of the clone guards) where they are greeted by a couple other robots. Also probably once sent here a long time ago. They however have their own sense of community, and are against being identified and defined by felony codes, so the big guy shuts those down. An ability he probably got from modifying himself over time from scrap parts of whatever is left in the wasteland. They'll probably be identified by what they wear, or Adam's broken face, like those two are. Also at first I thought their legs are sticks, but watching again it looks like they're tied to sticks, and they sink in when they come closer? Dunno.
Sticks, yes, but in these circumstances I think the word stilts fits better. The stilts look like they are strapped to the bottom of their feet by a block which moved down the stilts on demand. I would guess this is to keep their feet above water/ground level when wading through swamp, as that's what the ground they were travelling over looked like.
I like this theory :) It's kind of similar to what I was thinking as well. Although my first thought was that their consciousness was moved completely to the robotic body. Maybe if their sentence is much longer then their normal, human lifetime, they put them in these bodies so they can live out their whole time or something like that? I dunno. But I love this short film so much. It really is amazing. Some of the best games/films are the one that say nothing, but tell you so much through the world and characters.
I love how they are all slightly different in the way their orange “clothing” is oriented on their bodies like some have a full orange wrapping some only have their legs covered in orange it’s so cool
It's on Netflix now along with the equally awesome Love, Death and Robots. Just take the one month free trial and binge til in hurts. Just don't forget to cancel before they begin billing.
Well it's a machine with a voice box, so if he has the mind of a human your first instinct would be to breath and although your not breathing the machine thinks that your just making sounds so it makes those sound, I wouldnt know though
yeah sure .... You can expect a Six minutes Roll-a-Ball-Like video tutorial explaining how to do one of the most impressive feats on Unity all by yourself after they required a incredible powerful graphic card and a a *team* of people to do so ..... I'm sure Adam will make it look easy! :3
Step 1: get yourself SE Natural Bloom Step 2: get yourself Unity Cinematic Effects Step 3: get yourself volumetric lighting effect which unity has created but will never release to public Step 4: animate everything, including DOF focus point etc. Step 5: animate camera to be super shaky like you saw Step 6: goto(Step_4)
But they officcialy stated that all custom solutions and assets from this film will be released shortly from now on. The same happened with the Blacksmith.
While this video is certainly impressive, people need to understand some things, It's a full motion sequence meaning: - No A.I. calculations - No physics - No game logic - No Network latency - at 24 fps A entire sequence dedicated to simply animations and rendering. A game, depending on its complexity, on a single 980 will have some trouble looking this good and playing smoothly at 30fps.
those are A-Multi threaded B-Not GPU-bound (Most of them are on CPU) and C- Unity does a kiloton of optimizations there . FPS is not the thing here, this demo was made to look like a movie (at 24/30 FPS), not like a game so you can expect that low-fps hell.If they wanted a 60 FPS experience, they could have used multi-gpu config.
RickyRecruit Then again, it's at 1440p. At 1080p it should get 40-60 fps. Also, a 1070 or 1080 should handle this engine just fine. That being said, you make a point.
Well thats simply not true I just looked through bunch of UE4 showcase videos and the Unity one looks much much better. It's true that i might not seen the one you did/the latest one but after all this is 8 months old and both engines trie their best to improve. But most of the videos I saw were from time this one was realeased as well. (btw link the video you think is better nextime i would love to see it for real I'm not biased to any of the engines)
logic usually runs on CPU, graphics on GPU and games are GPU bound, you should really learn some basics before trying to teach others if you look closer, it does run physics and the video runs at 30 fps
I think that could be built in just to keep them feeling like they still have a body. They make sounds as if they breathe and they probably feel it as well, but they're probably not actually breathing nor have anything that actually does something that resembles breathing.
If I could take a guess. Resources such as food are scarce. So rather than housing hundreds of millions of people for their crimes, they either download or place their brain in a robot (because metals are more plentiful than food) from there they would either put them into a controlled work force or "banish" them to the outside world where they don't have to worry about food. The 2 nomads we saw were there to guide them or lead them to a civilized robot world and the 'leader' took away their felony codes so that they're not defined by numbers or their past. Instead they're born again in a new body with new opportunities. Judging from the way the humans reacted to the nomads, the humans either don't acknowledge the robot world or are scared of them because of their strength.
Also why was that company of well equipped soldiers basically terrified of those two androids walking up. I mean it would make sense the androids could have combat augmentations so they didn't want to lose alot of men but it still seems kind of weird they fell back as fast as they could.
So they were criminals that had their conciousness transferred into robots. Now they're being released into a wild open air prison to fend for themselves. The masked one new they were going to be released, and wiped out their criminal records listed on their chests. They are free to pursue their new lives unburdened by their own past, and giving them hope by his own example show what a rich and varied new life still awaits for them.
They are probably the felons convicted to sentence longer than life and after their dead they moved their consciousness to mechanic body to serve the rest of the sentence. After release there came the shephard for them who salvation them and then left with his new herd... Adam is religious name so it make sence :D
That makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Why would felons, who commited rapes, molestation, pedaphilia, and murders be given salvation? And in robot bodies....fuck off, you are clueless! And to treat MEN (ADAM) like cattle is sacriligious. So, this is in no way a reference to religion! If anything it would be ISIS controlling the Middle Eastern world!

What!? Motion blur does not happen IRL unless you have a vision problem. The motion blur in film is a side effect of it being shot in 24 fps. Human eye can see much higher than 24 fps. Hard to say how how but at least 60fps and at that rate of image processing there is no motion blur unless you fake it as they do in engines such as this.
Our eyes don't matter, really, our eyes capture a rather small amount of our vision, our mind put all that together with its power. That is why when our eyes are only 7 Megapixels in the focus point, you never get that feeling from a 48 Megapixels image. I'm not talking about definition, about "human understandable feel". our eyes refresh rate in terms of biology is somewhere on 30FPS edge, but our brains "feel" Unlimited amount of FPS I hope you get WTF i'm saying.

I could also see this being turned into a really cool open-world rpg game with an amazing story
I hope so…
This continues on Netflix?!?
I want to see that movie! a Sequel! :D
yeah, it looks pretty. But it is looking pretty with 0 player agency.
Its a movie, there is no player to exert his/her agency. Unless you're reffering to wether or not it would run well if this was a game.
We need a game made of this!
Uncharted 4 same level graphics
Yes! would love that!
Escape from Tarkov
+Vl1dimir 777 that game is NOTHING like Story and setting wise. Maybe u ment graphically But I still don't think tarkov has that level of graphics
Not at all
I would pay for a game like this... want more!! >.
A game like this should cost more than a blockbuster movie.
Destiny cost $500 million to make, GTA V cost 270 million and Star Citizen is currently around 120 million. So it could be done.... about 10 years from now.
Dave Callanan Destiny cost is not 500 million$ , the price was for a trilogy and most advertising.
Star citizen is not completed yet(and maybe will never be).
the cost of destiny was mainly in marketing.
+Robert S but they are already in alpha testing for star citizen so most of the money is already spent and only some work is needed expanding with updates

A bit too much motion blur. But very impressive. Amazing stuff!
that was my thought too.
too much motion blur :/
motion blur is very taxing so having full motion blur render in real time at the level of quality really shows how amazing this technology really is this at the end of the day is a tech demo this was made to show potential buyers what they can achieve if they bought this software
vennthrax
Uhm there is a free version too ;)
Artifical Motion Blur is always weird.
But in this tech demo in every slight movement there is too much motion blur.
Motion blur can be annoying but it's okay. Be glad about the fact that they didn't use 1000000x Ambient Occlusion/Dynamic Light and Lens Blur like many games do. Kiddoes fall for these really annoying "wow much realism FX" and get like "OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST GRAPHICS IVE EVER SEEN". *cough* Mass Effect *cough* Bioshock *cough* Crysis *cough*

Unity always has some really interesting/amazing art direction with their short films, in a way that no other engine company does. They'll show something pretty or shiny but not outright artistic like unity will.

It looks that way, but you can hear a sound and maybe he tripped on something and his right hand moved faster, so it looks like he just appeared.

Андрей Карпенко I have. Awesome game, but that's not really a spoiler.
Would be interesting if it were like an Odd World type game where you guide these robots through the wilderness to avoid death or something
Just a sidenote, if you look closely on the main "robot", on the panel in his chest, his name is Adam M. Thomas ;)
And the panel also says "Felony code 227900" so ya, prisoners released for some reason. And since the panels were wiped I agree with the Moses analogy. Taking the slaves and wiping their sins away.
I think they're cyborgs because they're breathing.

its just so crazy to me that this is on unity, you never see anything half as good as this come from unity devs
When you're making a game you simply don't have the resources to devote to quality of this level unless you're a AAA studio, and if that's the case you're most likely using either the Unreal engine or an in-house proprietary engine like Frostbite or Fox Engine.
exactly. don't compare a cut scene to the full game.
even GTsport is turning off sexy-visual replay-fx so that it can RUN @ 60 fps on PS4 - something needs to 'change' somewhere... or this'll never happen ingame.
That was good wow I'm from the future 7 year after this wonderfully done short film was made.
These Unity vids have some of the best sound design I've ever heard. I had to do it in school and its a whole crazy world in itself. Well done!

I gotta say it.
Make this a game.
from what i hear from all the much smarter people in the comments making this into a game would probably yield a much less quality project
+XBloodyBaneX just what i thought. i imagine a dystopian world, maybe in the same style as fallout. you were a human once and your personality was transferred into this robot. as you explore the wasteland, you start to learn more about your live before all this. it would be pretty cool if you could switch or modify your own components and so on
in that case i agree with you 100%
...can I please use the term dickbiscuit? It's wonderful.

In other words: THIS IS NOT Unity, but 3rd party software.
It was made with 3rd party tools:
"To make Adam, the Demo Team developed custom tools and features on top of Unity including volumetric fog, a transparency shader and motion blur to cover specific production needs."
My point is that if you need to build those kind of tools on top of an engine, that is because it is not a good engine. You don't need to do that in CryEngine or even in Unreal Engine. Trust me. I am a game developer and I've worked with all of them: Unity, UE4 and CryEngine.

2:12
On the left a bot pops up out of nowhere.
Only their feet have reflections in the water puddles.
The foot of one of the bots in the front left passes through a bit of the ground.
2:22
On the right there is a bot passing through another one.
3:22
The toes of the bot standing up pass through the floor.
Some white flashing in the water puddle reflection on the far left.
4:18
Some of the leaves on the ground show z-fighting.
4:27
Some z-fighting on the building in the back, mainly shadows and the letters "AD".
4:49
The transition between the "turn around" and "walk" animation is not well interpolated.
The looping of the walking animation isn't seamless. You could see some jumping in his position for each walk cycle.
5:00
Some of the foliage doesn't move at all (no wind is blowing on it). Also noticeable at 3:38.
_BTW don't have anything against Unity. This is awesome. I just thought it would be interesting to see some criticism in between all the comments praising the graphics or trying to interpret the story._
How da heck did you notice that?! XD
I applaud you, sir.
That sunken feet is actually like putting weight on left leg when leaving solid concrete ground, and sinking a bit in soil? All well spotted though I admit your third eye :D
Also, the right foot of the bot standing up at 3:23 glitches a bit
2:20 How about that bot on the right coming through another one?
2:12 is actually near clipping. and since nearclipping does not apply to reflections the reflection is being rendered^^

There are two sequels if you wish to watch, just type in search - *ADAM: Episode 2* and *Episode 3*
Right stilts, forgot about that word. xD
Was going to write a theory but this pretty much summed up exactly what I thought
Uchiha Sasuke Well, You were kinda right. "Adam: the mirror" by Oats Studio! It explains a bit more!!!! It's the sequel to this short!

Lots a lot of breathing for someone with no lungs
Well it's a machine with a voice box, so if he has the mind of a human your first instinct would be to breath and although your not breathing the machine thinks that your just making sounds so it makes those sound, I wouldnt know though
And the brain still needs oxygen
The brain needs oxygen there’s probably some sort of synthetic lungs

True.

While this video is certainly impressive, people need to understand some things,
It's a full motion sequence meaning:
- No A.I. calculations
- No physics
- No game logic
- No Network latency
- at 24 fps
A entire sequence dedicated to simply animations and rendering.
Then why were the two robots on the right clip walk through each other at 2:23
RickyRecruit Then again, it's at 1440p.
(btw link the video you think is better nextime i would love to see it for real I'm not biased to any of the engines)
logic usually runs on CPU, graphics on GPU and games are GPU bound, you should really learn some basics before trying to teach others
if you look closer, it does run physics and the video runs at 30 fps
My uncle showed me this years back and it looked unreal back then, but its crazy how now our video games look just like this
they dont, but they are coming close

I think that could be built in just to keep them feeling like they still have a body. They make sounds as if they breathe and they probably feel it as well, but they're probably not actually breathing nor have anything that actually does something that resembles breathing.
Alonso Picado fee
This makes 100% sense. Glad someone posted any attempted stab at what was going on here.
Still here. Enjoying this masterpiece.
I'm Okay , are you Okay though?
Adam is totally unique but like all shorts we love noone will finish it for us.
@@kathrynstewart-mcdonaldIf you missed it, this is continued under the Oak Studios Channel. Check it out.
@@chotagabbar7675 Okay thanks for sharing with me. I will go to Oaks Studio.
Even after all this time watching it once again, there is always some small detail that was missed to find and enjoy.
My brain is like what the fuck is going on while my heart is telling my brain to chill out and enjoy the ride .
Pussy Magnet: that exactly what I felt earlier when watching this.
Anyone else notice the two robots on the right clip through each other at 2:23
Uhh.. Nope. ;)
Now they do
classic unity lmao
Why would you want to notice? Look at the plot and concentrate on what's important! xD
This is technology demo, after all.
You guys should release an actual full length film for this.
Seven years later and we are still waiting..... we need the story!!!!
There are two sequels if you wish to watch, just type in search - *ADAM: Episode 2* and *Episode 3*
Saddest thing, skibidi toilet has more views
That was absolutely incredible firing up all my senses in five minutes like that. I want more!
they need to make a game out of this
Xrynm Chyle, agreed
there's a 2nd and 3rd episode by oats studios
Haha...relax big guy. It wasn't that great

Nice theory.
You should write that story ...
wow...
If anything it would be ISIS controlling the Middle Eastern world!
mrtoolegittoquit2 what's wrong with you?
Likely no movie/tv/game is gonna come outta this, but it will be remembered, it will inspire and it will be copied.
what are all these Deoxys doing
Leaving, living, exploring.
even they don't know what there doing
Seems to be a prison sentence. The screen on his chest revealed a "felony number" in the beginning.
This kinda has Hideo Kojima feels in it
nah, It lacks his name mentioned 20 times in the intro.
It feels like hackneyed writing and plagiarism? That can't be!
@@The_Crimson_Fucker "hackneyed" "plagiarism"
Too statements that are factually untrue and ridiculously as it can get. Good job at spreading misinformation with this nonsensical bullshit comment.
No it doesn't since kojima takes from everyone else.
@@aldinvejzovic3782 Yeah. THAT's not even close to being true. Where the fuck are you even getting this shit from?
Who's here because of Oats putting out Ep2 and wanting to catch up?
javierjabanero Oata studios is the best thing happening to modern film and art industry right now ! Their new business model could be revolutionary if got enough support .
Yeah, I came here to watch the first part.
I question how they expanded off this... mean the rights and such
I'd assume the same talent/creators of this first part were behind it. Oats isn't just its own thing, Blomkamp started it with the intention of providing other filmmakers an avenue to get their ideas/projects out there.
This should be put together as one on Oats channel. :,|
Welcome to the future of movie production. The only obstacle will be our own limitations of the knowledge barrier to do it. But, it's amazing to think that brilliant ideas that would have been impossible in the past to convey will be coming out of the living rooms of us all.
TH-cam was trying to make me watch this for a long time, today I gave it a chance, and this shit is AWESOME and also, the song played is Chopin Nocturne Opus 9 Number 2, my favorite classical piece ever!
same, worth watching it!
Dude, that's my favorite classical piece too!
ive had a dream with this song years ago but i did never heard it before
This could easily be part of Netflix's Love Death and Robots. Looks so amazing..!!
This isnt a game
*suicide rate increases 200%*
Ugandan Knuckle I know right :(
Just cinematic cgi every big game company does this in their trailers
...
@@zany527 Their cinematics are not rendered in real time though, that's why they tend to look way better than the actual game
What does “rendered in real time” mean? Explain it to me like I’m a 9 year -old or 10 I don’t care
Kenshi is an amazing game that has a very similar concept feeling like this. I can't recommend it enough as there is so much indepth to explore in a different world
It Clould be a Episode of Love Death & Robots
Yea and this came out in 2016
It's better than LD&R.

Sooo, crazy question, just throwing this out there: When can we expect the demo team to split off from Unity Technologies to become Unity Games? Because I would love to see more of this.
Yeah! This looks like a game I would play.
I always wanted games like this. and i think they would look amazing on current gen consoles and pc.
+2cool0 consoles are far away from such graphics.. Maybe the ps6 will be able to render this, but atm even highend machines will habe trouble Rendering this..
r3sistent well i'm not talking about graphics. i mean yeah i want good graphics and not cartoonish graphics but i was talking more in the TYPE of game. like this futuristic, darker, machine, type of game. all the futuristic games are all fakish anime type stuff like halo or something. i wanted a nice dark realistic future game.
Mikhanator yeah pretty much
The time has come for the new generations of consoles to have a game to remember ...
We need it! We’re so bored we’re inventing new ways to destroy ourselves
@@Whatisahandle93 Haha totally, apart from that who would not like to become a millionaire with a game?
They have the formula but, you can see that they have money left over hahaha

Does this have motion blurx100 or are my eyes malfunctioning?
blur
There is far too much motion blur. Best it'd be off altogether.
Why fake blur where its not needed?
Our eyes don't matter, really, our eyes capture a rather small amount of our vision, our mind put all that together with its power. That is why when our eyes are only 7 Megapixels in the focus point, you never get that feeling from a 48 Megapixels image. I'm not talking about definition, about "human understandable feel". our eyes refresh rate in terms of biology is somewhere on 30FPS edge, but our brains "feel" Unlimited amount of FPS I hope you get WTF i'm saying.
This should become a full game with a cool explanation story!
