I noticed in T7 practice mode there are 2 kinds of mids when you hit - written in white text and written in black text. To get a "white" you do any mid from standing position. To do a "black" mid you do a crouching jab. Is there an important difference between them?
Ora Ora! you can black the crouching jab mids as a low
The "black text" mid is known as a "special mid". You can both block a special mid by crouching AND you can low parry the special mid for a combo.
You forgot you can get a combo after DB3 on counter hit and that kick crush highs and some mids

Azazek isnt too bad. His autoblock seems to be significantly less effective whenever he stops glowing, and I don't think his autoblock if you break through it with a natural string, so I just hit him with Jin 1+2 for a good chance to break his autoguard and knockdown.

Jin’s low kick (d/b + 4) is not a Muay Thai kick. It’s a Kyokushin Karate low kick. There are differences in how they are used. Both are equally powerful kicks, though.
IceCat7 Well not really. Kyokushin’s combinations don’t always rely on that .
@Seth Wellington im assuming they are karate practitioners. I also practice Karate Shorin-ryu style as well as kyu-kushin. Part of the reason why i love Jin as his fight style is traditional Karate.
@Seth Wellington oh yeah for sure it is. About 70-80% of his moves are realistic. Some of them are actual Karate moves but you wouldn't actually use in a fight. Some fake ones i can think of rn are hellsweep, savage sword, Zen, mental awarness, kazama turning leg strike, corpse thrust, and couple more i can't remember. Though stuff like mental awarness and maybe even Zen could be seen in kata but are not really practical.

The worst character for bound system wasn't Jin, but Hwoarang. His strings include a lot of spinning kicks which fit perfectly for screwcorp in T7, but have no use in T6. Hwo's staple combos were basically just made of 1,2,4 into flamingo (RFS), 2 and then f,f,3 or b+2 (RFS as well) for a bound and that was awful considering he is a kick-based character. His juggle was just wierd and too execution heavy which was a nightmare for online battles.
I think that's also why Harada let Baek die in T6 and gave some of his moves to Hwo, because he'd desperately needed some good moves for his combos.

damn i really wanted tekken 6 for pc.. it was my fav tekken... you gave 60 bucks for a full game.. customization campaign everything.. and now in tekken 7 you give 70 + 100 for more players that should be already in game
You can play PsP version on pc but it doesn't have campaign.

T6 Jin wasn't the best Jin, but it was my absolute favorite Jin. His combo potential sucked, yes, but his poking potential was awesome. His techtrap and frametrap potential here was great too. He was weak enough of a character that people respected you for using him, but strong enough that you could win with him with patience, practice and study.
I like Jin in tag 2 he is the same with T6 except slightly improved and also can tag a launcher and tag assault
i miss his df14 string it reminds me dvj df12
You also forgot during mental alertness by pressing downforward to any input like 1,2 will immediately do the crouch dash variation of electrics which has huge mixup potential

@@BEER-OTFG its good that it died in tekken 6, it was just a show off move to be honest, no one really used it except AI emperor jin battle in story mode, which i thought was pretty cool it fits him. And tekken blowing up and turning more and more competetive it would be op to have a stance such as soul omen because with the combo systems it destorys ur opponent. But just the glowing hands is ok i guess but doesnt really fit the role he played in T7
In Tekken 3 he used mishima fighting style then he switched to his own version of kazama and mishima fight style fits well with his increase in power
he doesn't use anything resembling Kazama style, idk why they had him abandon the Jun moves in t4 like ss2 and 3 ring circus

They're not even there, LOL. They did the coat but forgot pants. You have to substitute for them with pants from different sets or use generic ones.

Jin did have interesting tech trap options here as well
after wall bound you do 3,1 and if the opponent tech rolls left
Press b 1+2 gives crazy plus frames
Tekken 6 Jin also had tech trap potential with his d 1+2 goes instantly into glowing hands (counter hit)
He could go into this after
F4 then press d1+2 (somewhat useful)
1,3,2,1,4 then press d1+2 (not really useful)
f3 then press d1+2 (not really useful)
CD4 then press d1+2 (not really useful)

In TT2 it isn't the exact same if your execution is good
TTT2 has great combos, literally, you could do a GREAT combo with Jin and Devil Jin, they is no disagreeing with me.

Never learned how to lock on, and didn't even know how to block until the final boss
You're right
1) Can't play as other characters.
2) Stage design, enemies and bosses were bland and tedious as hell.
3) Just because I knew how to beat Devil Within didn't make it any less boring and I only did it to unlock Devil Jin. If you like it that's fine but I prefer Tekken Force a lot more.

And i liked the fact that devil within wasn't just a beat em up, it had puzzles and platforms to give some variety to the stages, it wasn't just beating up npcs all the time like in tekken force

Fighting games generally aren't focused on their graphics a lot but Tekken series does. After DR, they were improved enough for their gen. T7 graphics were still improved but not as much as T6

Yeah, this was a step forward for Jin since T5 and DR. His combo damage w/o Walls sucked compared to others, but he got some great tools in the this game like you discussed, b21 and the new Standing 4 were great. He also got the really cool new throw in df+2+3

choose [configure] then go to [GPU] tab.
modify *"resolution scale"* to 200% and make sure to *save*

At 2:00 when he does the combo. It is a lot easier it seems to just ewhf dash 3>1 1 3~3 but instead of doing a dash and pressing B+3 just dash and do a standing 3 then do B+2 1. Does 1 more damage and is basically the same
I find that method to be more inconsistent because the b+2 1 the last hit would wiff sometimes.

F,1+2 after hits quickly press d,1+2. Do this in other move like
1,3,2,1,4 ff,3,1,3,2,1,4 CD4 F,4 1,3n3,d/f3 and 3n3,d/f3
Is it just me or Tekken 6 graphics look better than tag 2. Like 6 graphics and shit were nice except character models. Imagine T6 graphics combined with T7 char models and tag 2 stage details

If T6 Jin just had hi T7 db2,3 he'd probably spring to high tiers immediately with this combo potential. Esthetically, old db2,3 looks better but is shit and is only useful as some cheesy counter hit bait. In TTT2 the string would at least give a huge CH launch.

so i dont know but i recently tried his staple combo 7 and it seems buggy.. i did it like 15 times i hit it like 10 times and the other 5 times i did the same moves exactly as i did them the other 10 times but his last electric didnt connect...

Mainman you forgot something again for jin new comers mental alert omen stance secret move from tekken 4 to tekken 6 they remove the blue spark of that in tekken 6 but still f 4 + d 1'2 or f '2 + d '1'2 or df 4 + d'1'2 or kazama style '+d'1'2 this for counter and wall pressure in those days
