I've always liked Kazuya (even though I main Heihachi for sure) ever since TTT. Remember back then CH WGF would cause the flip over state? WGF, WGF, (something), to demon scissor was the classic Kazuya combo (for some reason the idea of having demon scissor in a combo is hilarious to me). I only played Tekken 6 for like 2 seconds because it was already old when I picked it up. What they did to Kazuya's right ax kick was atrocious. Also, Kazuya's ff+2 from Tekken 5 was a cool move that didn't get enough play. I honestly can't say whether it was a good or bad move overall because I don't think it was around long enough to develop. The way I thought about it was it seemed useful for Kazuya to have another launcher besides WGF (especially after it was changed to a HIGH move), because as good as WGF is, if that's all you can do your opponent can read it more easily. This is the problem I see with characters who might seem strong on paper, or even in a real game, is that if their move set is very limited eventually your opponent will just be able to read you too easily.
Because Tekken 1 through 5 has cool story and nostalgia (with Tekken 3,4 and 5 having the Tekken Force and Devil Within respectively) Tekken 5 DR was super cool because it was a Tekken 5.2 with bowling (it was fun at the time) Tag 2 was around for 5 years and Tekken 7 is a great game that's still alive due also to the DLC Tekken 6 doesn't have anything that's makes it stand out aside from the costumization, with didn't make a comeback making the game die even more

After Tekken 6. Kazuya's character model (especially the face part) became weird. His face doesn't look the same comparing to tekken 6 and before that.
Oh when I moved into the place I live in now I met a friend and he introduced me to Tekken 6 we weren't particularly great or anything we had our little group of friends and we'd usually team battle each other we never looked at combos and learned stuff without looking it up that also meant I never realised Mishima's had their fnddf moves such as EWGF but I was happy if not him I'd never get Tekken 7 and especially probably wouldnt main lee
Grant Barbour the problem with those moves is that they are steppable in general, but the dash tracks. So if you sidestep during the dash, there is a chance the moves still hit. If you sidestep during the move after the dash, you can SS, but the window is very small obviously, and usually just works on worse Kazuya players. I also ate so many FF3's by Kaz thinking I could step it easily.
yup imagine it like this: if i remember correctly kazuya had mostly retained his t5 offense and also got an insane combo due to the wall combos giving 5 instead of 4 hits which gave a full uf4,4,4,4,4 as a wall combo the whole system of tekken 6 vanilla was also alot different and scary with the low parries not giving bounds which was alot for kazuya who then could do dashjabs for big walltravel if you asked people who was the strongest character of vanilla t6 then most people would tell you that after putting time in for kazuya he would be the stronger character
Devil Jin was also pretty good if I'm not wrong but for the rest I'm not really well verse in tekken 6 tier list. I also suppose that Dragunov was pretty good.
Wow, never realised Kazuya lacked so many vital tools in T6. o: Since being a Yoshimitsu main, i can remember punishment in T5 was godlike but he lacked mixup tools. In T6-7 mixup tools had/have their prime but punishment was definitely reduced A LOT.
@@fasoooli2751 I can't beleieve there are actually people who even upvote you. So listen to me, folks. You don't know what you're talking about. First off it isn't even a poke. It's a punnisher. It can't act as a poke because it ain't mid and as a high that has such shit range that you won't use it instead of a 1 jab unless you want to get wiff punnished or just give away you turn. Kazuya lost his generic 2 jab since T6. Now he has that shit right handed punch with -3 on block. No Kazuya player uses that. Now as a punnishment tool it sucks cuz there is a high mid 2,2 that gives better advantage on hit. And this move is kinda useless too across all games T6, TTT2 and T7 because there is a faster b1,2 that gives knockdown, wallsplats, is i11 and has better dmg (or arround the same at least). It is now only used as a TS tool for Devil Form due to absence of df1,4 option.
@@fasoooli2751 I guess ya'll thought that because of that 4 comes out so fast after the punch in T6 compared to TTT2 it is to be considered fast. Well surprise! It fucking isn't. It's slow and has shit range in both games. It's pretty much a gimmik that's been a bit more effective in TTT2 actually because that 4 would give a launch on CH. So you could kinda bait your opponent into it by wiffing the first 2 from the distance. So the delay on 4 is actually kinda good thing, but eh... Who the fuck would do that??? Now if you'd use that as a poke in T6 chances are you'd get ducked and WS punnished for it a lot.
well compared to heihachi in tekken 7 kazuya in tekken 6 was even more weak due to these offensive tools being completely destroyed and the problem of him being too risky compared to others especially when you consider that the ewgf had increased recovery and was easily sidestepped without timing heihachi has problems like good and fast lows but nowadays and even when you wrote that comment heihachi has been quite good due to both the offensive favoring system of tekken 7 and the buffs that mishimas got for both recovery and tracking on ewgf
@@TheNonHiddenSingularity yes just look at the buffs he received he sure as hell still retains problems but alot of characters do and alot of players will tell you the same thing about overall buffs and even heihachi the thing is rather more if its really worth saying he is good compared to the time you put into him while you could play devil jin who almost always a lot easier time in most games especially compared to his tekken 6 counterpart or even kazuya from tekken 6 he is most definetly good
even in tekken tag 1 i prefer devil than kazuya his moves in tekken tag 1 is somewhat lack luster tekken 5 kazuya is like a bit improved but devil jin overshadows him tekken 6 kazuya is harder some player that is not that much good i worked twice the effort just to beat them.

Don’t know if he can find a proper folder to emulate on pc like some NESICA games
Im kazuya main in tekken6, hes not that weak in tekken6,kazuya tekken6 combo is so strong even the wall combo
What about his Demon Cutter from the wavedash? Namco may have balanced his other moves around that now obsolete mid elbow launcher.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but kazuya used to be more cool than now in T7. He doesn’t looks the same now idk why...
It's unreal engine, it sucks the soul out of everything
No purple suit
Dang i low key got the work in with him, to be fair i dont play competitive tho
Tysm TMM Because Of U I Maked A Custom Combo For Kazuya In Tekken 6 And Reached Tekken God! Tysm Again
"Still is a very step able character" ...Lee is stepable...... Lei and Lars are step able. Kazuya? Isn't stepable
So true, lol. Tmm is complaining like always.
The amount of times I've been hell swept or electriced while side stepping and walking is astounding. I'm honestly ready to just eat the mix up
Grant Barbour the problem with those moves is that they are steppable in general, but the dash tracks. So if you sidestep during the dash, there is a chance the moves still hit. If you sidestep during the move after the dash, you can SS, but the window is very small obviously, and usually just works on worse Kazuya players. I also ate so many FF3's by Kaz thinking I could step it easily.
Its better to side walk rather than side step vs kazuya.
Wish we could get a hold on tekken 6.0 , kazuya in that game was apparently a beast
yup
imagine it like this:
if i remember correctly kazuya had mostly retained his t5 offense and also got an insane combo due to the wall combos giving 5 instead of 4 hits
which gave a full uf4,4,4,4,4 as a wall combo
the whole system of tekken 6 vanilla was also alot different and scary with the low parries not giving bounds which was alot for kazuya who then could do dashjabs for big walltravel
if you asked people who was the strongest character of vanilla t6 then most people would tell you that after putting time in for kazuya he would be the stronger character
@@BEER-OTFG one day we’ll get to play it someuow
Well you should be glad it doesn't wall splat because then it'd be Heihachi's and you can't even hit-confirm it anymore.
Man this fucking snow stage in T6 is like the coolest stage in any of the Tekken games
MainMan: This move sparks.
Me: I'm pretty sure that's called spiking buddy :)
He said what he meant, and means what he says. (:
Look how they massacred my boy in tekken 6 but nice character model tho
Frames for df+2, EWGF really is a thing for being a hard frame launch. Execution is really complicated.
This reminds me of T7 Lars lvl of bad.
Fuck Lars
gamwpanagia agreed
Lars can stay that bad. He's brain-dead to use, always has been. He had his fun in T6, now he can suffer for eternity.
@@tiradegrandmarshal Had his fun with launch punishable, disadvantageous lows, sure thing amigo.
@@humblesoul5232 so, like the majority of the cast?
how can he write that accurately on screen?!?!
>fucks up a technical staple
>first tries the X5 Electric combo
#JustMainManThings
Who was good besides Bob?
It felt like this was bob, Bruce, Brian, Alisa and hei, the game. With a side of law, maybe and leo
Edit
*Luffbars*
Devil Jin was also pretty good if I'm not wrong but for the rest I'm not really well verse in tekken 6 tier list. I also suppose that Dragunov was pretty good.
@@nigthor1081 drag made it feel more like vf to me, more poking aggressive af though and kinda easy ish
Steve was decent aswell
Wow, never realised Kazuya lacked so many vital tools in T6. o: Since being a Yoshimitsu main, i can remember punishment in T5 was godlike but he lacked mixup tools. In T6-7 mixup tools had/have their prime but punishment was definitely reduced A LOT.
Waiting for that sweet T6 Miguel review.
Character loyalty is a dying breed.
Tekken 6! I’m really looking forward to these vids. Love the game
he had 2 4 a fast safe poke
why you didn't mention it?
It's a high, high. What kind of fast poke is that? When it comes to high pokes there is nothing better than jabs.
@@Mr440c i mean it was faster than in tag 2
@@Mr440c i already know it had a ch launch in tag 2
Basically heihachi in T7 ! Very difficult and when you succeed, you obtain something weak
well compared to heihachi in tekken 7 kazuya in tekken 6 was even more weak due to these offensive tools being completely destroyed and the problem of him being too risky compared to others
especially when you consider that the ewgf had increased recovery and was easily sidestepped without timing
heihachi has problems like good and fast lows but nowadays and even when you wrote that comment heihachi has been quite good due to both the offensive favoring system of tekken 7 and the buffs that mishimas got for both recovery and tracking on ewgf
@@BEER-OTFG say that to JDCR who said that Heihachi is complete Garbage, but according to BEER -OTFG, heihachi is quite good
@@TheNonHiddenSingularity
yes just look at the buffs he received
he sure as hell still retains problems but alot of characters do and alot of players will tell you the same thing
about overall buffs and even heihachi
the thing is rather more if its really worth saying he is good compared to the time you put into him while you could play devil jin who almost always a lot easier time in most games
especially compared to his tekken 6 counterpart or even kazuya from tekken 6 he is most definetly good
so he was the lee chaolan of this game.
Lee was pretty good in T6 and TTT2
I found a meh combo with kaz
Ewgf, 1,2, Down towards 1,2, Up towards 4,4
6:35 I think it make sense because he didn’t have ff4 move it’s easier to do
even in tekken tag 1 i prefer devil than kazuya his moves in tekken tag 1 is somewhat lack luster
tekken 5 kazuya is like a bit improved but devil jin overshadows him
tekken 6 kazuya is harder some player that is not that much good i worked twice the effort just to beat them.
