I drive passed the house that Richard Burton was born in every day driving to Port Talbot steel work. There’s a picture of him on the wall in the front porch.
I really liked the movie. Burton was great as the heavy. He played the part very well. I noticed the film was made in 1971 and you could start to see Burton aging due to the alcohol. He was a fine actor and the movie really was quite interesting. It had quite a few of the regularly known British actors during the 70's in in. I thought the police inspector and his sidekick Tom, we're very good in the film. The actor who played Tom in the film, really was great. He played that role just like a big city London detective. The film moved well too. I just saw the film yesterday and I'm surprised I never heard of it. I highly recommend this film, "Villian" made in 1971 with RichardBurton. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. Lots of nice scenes with very pretty topless women too.
Nigil Davenport was the actors name who played the top police Inspector, Superb actor, ( they all were ). Superb British period Gangster film, Burton was outstanding in the leed role! regards.
The actors who played the Police inspectors were Nigel Davenport and Collin Welland-I loved "Villain" a good low budget film, well made with an excellent cast and a very realistic car chase and fight at the end- recommended viewing
Jeez, Richard Burton was the best person to ever come out of Wales, including Jones, Bassey, Thomas, & everyone else, his voice is rich, deep, commanding, baritone, &perfect, & his acting ability & talent was 1st class, he is up there with the Greats, R. I. P.
"Trust the Brits to try and bring sex into this movie, no matter how weired it sounds. This movie was the best one Burton ever made, for the simple reason none of it sounded Shakspear in any scene."
Richard Burton is always brilliant incredible actor

Two legends

Brilliant stuff Ian mcshane Brilliant film 🎥 villain 👏.
Ian's the old man on set now
Watched this film last night brilliant.... I was sort of thinking Ian was the same character from Sexy Beast but in later years??
Teddy Bess
In 1970 Ian wouldn't have been so quick to say Richard was playing a composite of the kray twins
Classic stuff, and that's only Venetia.
Bleeding pigeons :)
Richard Burtn
Burton was supping 3 bottles of spirits a day during this.
Winston
Wolfie!!!

Slaaaaaag . . !!!!
How on earth is Jonathon Ross supposed to be entertaining ? Unfunny and overpaid.
..a caaaaaaaaaanttttt . . . . . . . !!!
"Get out Slag"
Great movie! Ben Kingsley ripped Burton off for Sexy beast!
He based don logan on his grandmother.
Great anecdote. I can even forgive the frankly terrible Burton impression!
To be fair nobody can do an impression of him.
@@stevepayne5965 Not true. Check out Frank Gorshin. He got him to a tee.
Loved Richard Burton but his voice in villain was awful.
Richard burton didn’t look that good in Vilain to much whiskey escapism.
Vodka was his poison.
Vodka was his drink of choice-- by 1974, three bottles a day of it.
