Love watching mate ,one of the better shows on TH-cam bloody great 👍
Much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Thanks that was enjoyable to watch, top job.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Nice one ,hey mate I like how you explain things and video it not everyone does that, good stuff the trucks going to be a weapon
Thanks heaps for taking the time to watch and comment.
You know Toyota is taking the piss when they do a facelift with new tech and leave the rear axle too narrow.
Lucky these things are considered the kings of off-roading
Good video mate. Will come in handy when I have to mine soon 😂
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching
Good video. Planning on doing the same on my 76.
thanks for watching
Nice work!
I thought you would need a full workshop and hoist to this.
Looks like a fun project
Thanks for tuning in. 🤙🏻
Good decision I reckon. Nice complete kit too.
Thanks for watching.
Great work, I'm waiting my track correction diff housing from another brand to arrive. I don't think there is a big difference in installation process between them. I've learned how to do it by watching your video, you made it so easy. Thanks mate
Thanks for watching. Glad it helped
Very interesting video. I love to make something myself to learn the car. With your video I can study my dream LC70/2024 without having it (yet). Your BJ42 is also cool. Thanks a lot for your content!
Cheers mate.
Great vid guy's
Thanks for tuning in.
Nice video mate. Looking forward to the rest as your build this thing up more.
Cheers mate new ep out Sunday.
Really enjoyed the video mate, great job. About to embark upon this journey myself, very informative.
Glad it was helpful! Was actually quite easy mate. The long range tank however was a bit more painful and this Sunday is the interior fitout ep which was very painful 😂
Could just buy the longer axles and cut and lengthen the original diff housing each side .
Yeah I guess anything is possible, but the DWIZ is much stronger.
Awesome Ep and set up guys, Just a question how do you go with Toyota warranty now you changed the 4wd and worked on it yourself.
Hi Craig thanks for watching. Yes warranty is def a grey area.
Thanks. @@smarttouringsystems-garage
Are you going to save the old housing and put a disc break rear end in lance. Im halfway through doing the 79 to 47 conversion myself.
To be honest I've never really thought about that one. is it the same width. ?
@@smarttouringsystems-garage have a look at Richards shorty build on thevMr landcruiser youtube channel all the details he shows there.
Gday mate. Why did you choose Dwiz over others ie Jmacx etc?
Thanks in adv
I had just heard good things mate and the price seemed reasonable.
@@smarttouringsystems-garage yeah mate I think the load ratings a couple hundred kgs higher on em too. Cheers
Did you have any issues on the previous build with the rear bearings, using the offset rims (-47mm?) Do they need to be checked/changed more often. Or no difference? Thanks - David
Hi mate the previous ute I had -22 on the rear so I halved the track issue. It didn’t do the -47 for the exact reason of wheel bearing wear as you mentioned.
OK - Interesting. What rims did you use? I am getting a GVM upgrade to 3950Kg, so I need rated rims. Am looking at ROH 'Hammer' rims but they only come in -12 and -59mm offsets. On my old Troopy I used 0mm on the front and -47 on the rear and had no bearing issues, but that was a lightweight build. Also looked at Method Racing rims but they are stupid expensive.
@@spudboy1328 yeah mate they were dynamic steel rims.
why did you go the brown davis tank?
Mainly weight distribution. Sundays ep covers this in detail and the install.
@@smarttouringsystems-garage i would have gone for reliability and longevity. Looking forward to the next episode……
