🕞 17:00 🤔 How is durian graded ? - Like most fruits, the bigger the size the higher the grade.
👉🏽 Often the appearance of the durian may also taken into consideration.
👉🏽 Of cause the price also depends on the variety of the durian.
🧐 Durians are judged by with stringent criteria involve taste, smell and texture.
👉🏽 The ideal fruit must have: a rich aroma. a silky-smooth flesh texture.
🤦🏻‍♂️However like many things such as wines 🍷 or cheese 🧀 etc, often each person has their own preference.
🤓 Except for Musang King Durians that have a good consistency of taste, smell and texture for export that are graded as AA (For export), A and B.
👉🏽 Most durians are "graded" by its variety first, and secondly sizes when put on display.
👉🏽 Each variety has its unique characteristics that is differentiate from other variety.
👉🏽 The characteristics included fruit appearance, colour, sweetness, bitterness, aftertaste and many more.
👉🏽 The prices is market determined of supply and demand.
🇲🇾 Welcome to Malaysia and enjoy you stay here. 🙏🏼

🕞 Time 16:30 🤔 Different Durian Names - 🤓 From Wikipedia : The Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry started to register varieties of durian in 1934, and now maintains a list of registered varieties, where each cultivar is assigned a common name and a code number starting with "D". .... and as of 2021, there were over 200 registered varieties.
🤓 A very short example of popular variety list below 👇🏽
    👉🏽 D197 "Musang King"
    👉🏽 D200 "Black Thorn"
👉🏽 D24 "Sultan" (Some mistaken it as "XO")
    👉🏽 D160 "Tekka"
    👉🏽 D168 "IOI" (Often mistakenly as D101)
    👉🏽 D101 "Red flesh"
👉🏽 D175 "Red Prawn" (Udang Merah)

Durian is one of my favorites. It would be costed almost $100 to eat one fresh in USA. Can't wait to visit Asia to eat durian.
