Oh beautiful and delicious George Town! 😍And this is why we keep falling in love with Malaysia. This country is really something special ❤🇲🇾 PS: can we please talk about how cute G looks after his haircut and shave!? 🥰
I started to watching your video before my trip to Sri lanka and loved. Now I am thinking about going to Malaysia and watching your videos again..thanks for very informative and wonderful ideas.
If you are interested in experiencing ASIA, but you have limited vacation breaks and budget, visit Malaysia. You can get the most out of your holiday by visiting Malaysia, it is family friendly too.
Come to Singapore if you want a cleaner but more expensive and urbanised malaysia. Semi-standard malaysian food as well (as what I like to call sg food)
hahaha thanks friend!! ❤️ Impossible not to focus on the food here in Malaysia! It's so good! By the way, we sent you a message by replying to a comment on one of our other videos, not sure if you got it, but we just want to say thank you so much for going the extra mile for us 🥰 and thank you for being patient as we try to figure out what to do with our channel memberships. Nasi kandar is essentially mixed rice, i.e rice with dishes and gravy. In the past it was sold by hawker using wooden stick on shoulder with food items on both ends of the stick; that act of carrying is ‘kandar’ in Malay (Mengandar basically is kandar-ing). Now of couse there are more food choices.
@@waysoftheworld_ i doubt it. Street hawker used to be mobile and these folks use to carry the food, even with small stools, whereby you could stop them and order a plate and eat it there and then. Probably you would encounter some other food trades on carts. Traditional ones are wooden, more modern ones are metal which is more lasting if cooking is involved. The hawkers tend to congregate at certain areas e.g parking lots, mostly at night, on certain days, catering to the locals… so you’ll need to ask the locals about these, known as ‘pasar malam’ (night market). FYI, many of these pasar malam may not have many stalls offering huge varieties especially in towns, but these are places for social meet-ups. But Malaysian cities like KL tend to have bigger pasar malam, like Taman Connaught or Cheras night market. P.s. there’s also Pasar Pagi (Morning market) where locals buy morning staple (e.g. breakfast or daytime snack) and meat and vegetables, and Pasar Minggu (Weekend Market) whereby the food items include more snack-like and treat-like
George Town was such a cool place to explore for a couple of days. Love the mix of trendy spots with fascinating history and culture... George Town is awesome! Oh, and nasi kandar is my new favorite food in Malaysia!!! 😎
I am super jealous of your wonderful cat footage.. like the cat really cooperative with you guys.. meanwhile i only can capture beautiful moment only with my eyes. A moment when i try to take a pictures or videos everything will turned into chaos and disaster. Nice video by the way.. love both of your attitude and persona..
Those cats were so sweet 🥰 We were really lucky though. Half the time, they don't cooperate, but the cats in George Town are good ones :) Thanks for the kind words ❤️
I have seen all your videos and love them all. There is still a lot more to explore. You may also see videos by other youtubers like Jetlag Warriors (Canadian couple, Steve & Ivana), iChang & Jimmy (Japanese couple.. in Malaysia now), Veggies on Tour (a couple, Brit husb & spouse, Italian.. also now in Malaysia), Chu Bro (a very cheerful Korean guy.. in Malaysia now) & many more. Some of them have come to Malaysia for 2nd time and many of them spent quite some time in Malaysia. Hope you enjoy your stay in Malaysia and the food of course. Malaysia is a food heaven. By the way, both of you have cheerful nice smile!👍😊❤
there you go.... my hometown.... and the looks... do you ever consider modeling ?😂 hahahahaha and FYI Indian and Malay foods you have to eat it using hand.. you can feel the texture and when you feel the texture the smell and the taste.. its completing each other... HEAVEN!
I like how easy it is to get the information for the particular spot with that pop up on the left of the screen. Your pace is great too, not too rushed, and at the same time, it won't bore the audience, and for that, you just got yourselves a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing how beautiful Penang is to the world. Cheer!
Welcome to the WOTW fam Nick!! Happy to hear you're liking the videos. We really appreciate the feedback! It seems like you perfectly understand what we strive for :)
Appreciate your smooth and sophisticated video style. Nothing like a well coiffed man - especially when accompanied by a lady with beautiful eyebrows! 😉 Keep up the good presentations of Malaysia 👍
Pasar Malam is regular night market... Gurney drive hawker centre is an actual food place, but outdoor. The sea is iused to be right up to the walls, but land reclamation projects have made it somewhat further out.
Hi :) Thanks so much!! We're working really hard to get better, so it's nice that other people can tell too!! We do include all that info in a downloadable PDF linked in the description.
You can consider another two more cities if you have time, Ipoh (famous for old charm heritage) and Cameron Highland (tea farm and English cottage). If you love beaches, can consider Langkawi Island.
Hi! Thanks so much for taking the time to send us recs :) We have these 3 places on our list for next time we visit :) There's so much to see in Malaysia, and 30 days was definitely not enough!
I would say Penang is the best food heaven in the world, we have more fusion foods than any location in the world. Chinese+Malay+Indian+Java+Padang+Borneo+Western+many many more.
White coffee is just roasted at lower temperature as opposed to black coffee. The reason was to preserve the minerals in the beans. Some are roasted with butter, some with margarine, but I believe most use butter.
Beautiful Georgetown❤️.. Thank you for showing us around. There are so many things to see, explore, the food just amazing, places are breathtaking… BTW, tht barber definitely did a good job 👏🏻 u look great!! So far you guys had explored KL, Penang and coming is Borneo. Would you see yourselves explore other state in Malaysia ie Ipoh (known as Penang lil brother), Malacca (another UNESCO heritage city), Terengganu (famous for Redang island/ Perhentian island), Kelantan or Perlis (Malaysia-Thailand border), Pahang (famous for Genting highland, Cameron highland, Frasers hill and Colmar highland)
Thank YOU for watching ❤️ Yes, we actually do want to visit many other places in Malaysia but it will have to be for next time. We don't have enough time and we have to keep our travel series diverse, so we have to move on to another country. But thanks so much for sending us such detailed recs because we want to come back and see more of what this beautiful country has to offer! 🥰
