Thanks to your video and useful tips I was able to successfully replace all 5 capacitors. As a first timer I found it difficult as the original solder (especially on the negative pole) was hard to melt and required very careful attention to avoid damaging the motherboard. Works like new now. Thanks

Thanks for this. I watched this before replacing 5 capacitors near the CPU heatsink. The idea of heating one leg at a time while wiggling them back and forth worked nicely. I was a bit nervous to attempt it at first and seen someone mention ruining a board by attempting to desolder them. It wasn't so hard afterall!

I have a little corrosion damage near the corner of the board near the back of the power supply. Not sure if is still repairable.

So mine started to sizzle next to the north bridge? Probably some left over flux but it just turned on for a second and is probably dead again. None of rhe other caps are bad so I have no idea
