Reliving The War takes a look at the WWF vs WCW "Monday Night War" that took place in the mid 90s - early 2000s. With WCW Monday Nitro and WWF Raw is War airing at the same time, fans had to choose which show to watch. WWF and WCW would get into a ratings war that turned into a fight for survival. Reliving The War looks at every match and promo from the entire Monday Night War weekly.
On WCW Nitro the commentary team wonder why Sting has been quiet recently in regards to his match with Hollywood Hogan at Starrcade. The Stinger does show up this week though, and he targets multiple nWo members. Ric Flair sends a message to Bret Hart in regards to being "The Best There Is...", and Scott Hall wrestles Diamond Dallas Page in the main event.
On the WWF channel Vince McMahon orders Steve Austin to defend his Intercontinental Title against The Rock. McMahon is not happy with how things went down at D-Generation X In Your House, and McMahon says there will be consequences if Austin doesn't do what he's told; Stone Cold could possibly forfeit the title. Shawn Michaels wnats to get his hands on Owen Hart, and DX decide to play a game of poker while waiting for Owen to show up to the War Zone.

In just a couple of months, Wrestling Bios did more to get Alex Wright over than WCW ever did.
By reviewing what WCW actually did... WB is doing a good job of highlighting how awesome Das Wunderkind and Disco were. Just wait until they become a tag team later on! Will be interesting to see how WB presents the Berlin character too lol
I remember when this series started, I thought what a great concept for a series... no way it's actually going to do EVERY SINGLE WEEK of the monday night wars though.. Well, here we are over 2 years later and it's still the highlight of my watching pleasure every week. What an absolute legend!
Go back and watch the first episodes. It’s always strange to see how much a series changes over time.

I’ve waited forever to get here, on the December 8 1997 episode of Raw, where I first tuned into WWF and seen Stone Cold throw the IC title off a bridge.

One thing to remember about the Mr. McMahon character is that he had played it before when he was working Lawler's CWA promotion down in Memphis, so once he saw that the crowd wanted to boo him, he embraced it and re-adopted the McMemphis character.

I'm glad Disco got his title back. I've really warmed up to him, over the course of the series.
I was pretty solidly "team WWF" growing up, so I missed out on a lot (most?) of what was happening on WCW. Glad to have another chance to appreciate it. Thanks, chief.

This series has been fun, but now it's about to hit a new level of awesome as we go further into 97\98. It's Really amazing that i can feel so confident about knowing that this series isn't going to get cancelled unexpectedly like a TV show you watch for 2 years only to be left with a cliffhanger or something like that. i literally plan my day around making sure i have time to relax, smoke and enjoy this every week.

Your videos are always awesome, these reliving the war series takes so much effort on your part but trust me... they are so rewarding for us to watch. I save them as workout videos so won't catch this for a little while. Fell behind after getting Covid but finally getting back into my routine. I watch these in order and your other videos are a bit more random. I watched the Bret / Own cage match this morning. It was in a PPV that the OSW boys covered, I know they are more jokey but this really brought a new perspective to that match. I know that likes and comments are so important so I wanted to put in the effort. Thank you.

I think the transformation of Rocker Billy and The Reall JJ to the New Age Outlaws has been one of the craziest transformations so far in RTW.
