You can really see how Rick Rude felt when he got that initial reaction at the start of Raw. He didn't give a standard heel reaction, but instead had what was obviously a "Come on, guys, I don't agree with what happened to Bret, either" look of disappointment to him. That said, really looking forward to next week's RtW thumbnail, because there's really no other choice than two Rick Rudes.

I was a huge Bret fan as a younger kid, but I wouldn't come to appreciate the true extent of his greatness until I was able to access the Network several years ago and watch his full career. His matches with Diesel are some of the most underrated in-ring storytelling in the history of the industry. All because people like to pretend that Nash was all size and no talent, which is entirely untrue. He was just far too green for the title push he was given, but working with Bret brought up the ability of just about everyone he ever worked with.

This episode was so sad as it was confirmation that Bret Hart really was gone from WWF and wouldn't be coming back. I knew that no good would ever come of that.

I was a kid and thought it was part of the storyline even after Vince’s “Bret screwed Bret” interview. What made me realize that he’s really gone was when HBK and HHH bring out the midget dressed as Bret. That made me so angry that I stopped watching Raw until Tyson showed up in January.

I was in attendance at this Raw show and other than feeling we didn't get any clarity on what happened to Bret at Survivor Series the only thing I remember was The Rock calling himself The Rock for the first time. Looking forward to reliving the Austin/Rock rivalry!!

Watching Bischoff be so smug about Bret coming over to WCW makes how badly they drop the ball with him sting that much more. He was handed an actual golden apple at the height of the Monday Night Wars and tossed it in the trash.

This channel just popped up in my feed last week and this was my 1st video I watched. Now I'm gonna go back to episode 1. This is a great series. I subbed a couple of days ago in anticipation of this particular episide
I was there at Raw. No idea of what happened the night before, until I got to the arena and heard what happened. Watching this brings back so many my memories. Lots sticks out about that night. I was 3rd row, camera side and 1 thing that sticks out was Kane's Pyro going off in the ring. It gave off tremendous heat. Never forget it.

To put it very lightly. WCW had a built in audience of fans from the NWA territories who appreciated in-ring action over cartoon characters and Bischoff just didn't understand that.

I was at this Nitro. All I remember was there were a lot of empty seats at the top, and before the show went live, they told us to move down to make the arena look more full on tv. During the opening segment I was confused because I didn’t know Bret Hart was leaving the WWF.

Good luck with the COVID, man. I had it after a convention a couple weeks back, and it lasted nearly 2 weeks. It was pretty mild, but it was just a constant annoyance.
