Thanks a lot for this easy to follow video. My wife and mom helped me get ours on my pop’s truck in just a few minutes. First timers and looks great.

You said to use a clear gloss over laminate to protect the decal. Is that a paint on solution or a film?

what is the best laminate spray after the decal is installed?

I've never heard of any such thing, but I think it would be a bad idea, as you would be applying that 'spray' right onto your vehicle too. no bueno amigo. Vinyl can be pre-laminated so no need to apply any spray after installed

Common mistakes being made here, although applied ok. Always fold the panel back and remove the liner from the contravison/perforated vinyl, as doing it the way these guys done it could stretch the perforated material or tear it , pull on the liner to separate form the perforated, vinyl do not pull on the perforated material. This should never be applied outside as there will always be dust in the air and even more so when it's sunny and vehicles are driving by whipping it up into the air this then gets trapped in the perf holes which will show up if over laminating. It should be done under cover in a dust free environment . If you over laminate make sure it has the same physical make up as the perforated vinyl or they can separate with different contraction and expansion values especially in hot countries.

Thank you for the insightful comment! We're not installers here at FireSprint. I think this goes to show how easy this stuff is to apply, even we can do it! 🙂

He needs better technique when squeegeeing. if that's how he applies regular vinyl. he'll be in trouble really quick. whoever showed him how to squeegee needs to go back to the drawing board. When applying any vinyl, you want to place your squeegee at 45 degree angel as you're doing one move motion up and down. You want to apply the vinyl uniformly and evenly effectually pushing all air out. It's a little hard to explain. I should make a video about it myself. the way he's doing it, you would trap air pockets all other the place
