    I have the little one by E-Flight. After I bought it we had cold and wind, was still winter here in the Midwest. Now that the weather has been improving, I still can’t get out to fly! 😡 Broke my ankle in 3 places stepping on some snow covered ice!! Dr. says I should be able to use my right foot in about another month!! I’m itching to get out and fly but that’s not going to happen for a while. Been hovering my Convergence in my basement to get some kind of RC fix!!! Better than nothing. Love that 64mm A 10 one of those might be in my future this summer. I built a GWS model a few years back with a custom mounted 480 out runner running a 11 to 12 inch pusher config. Fiberglassed the entire airframe and that thing was a beast. That big prop would oust it straight up almost out of sight!!! What a blast!!!

    LOVE THIS PLANE! Maidened it today. Some early up trim, then it was on rails. Easy to takeoff, fly, roll, loop, and land.
    I’m putting it in the bed with me tonight I like it that much! (Minus the ordnance. That would be silly)

    I love listening Joe Satriani he can shred guitar, the A-10 is my favorite edf also the 3rd additon to my hanger, I got into rc flight around 2yrs ago trained with a Habu, 2nd an Eflight Thunderbirds, then this and I trained warbirds with an Eflight P-39 I found myself easily adapting to piloting edf's & prop planes, however stunt planes are a different animal I still crash trying to hover close to the ground everything else I'm building confidence great video Rich 😉👍🛩

    She is a sweetheart! Great speed and really slows down with full flaps. E-flite hit another home run with this beast!
    Not thrilled where they put the BEC so, I wired up a JST extension and put it down in the bottom area kinda by the reciever. Pulled some of the servo cables down there as well to make room for the battery. Really wanna push it back like in the video here and get that CG back. You may be nose heavy but if you're in safe mode it can kinda trick you because its gonna keep it level. So, landings can be a little rough. Not a lot of elevator for that nose high touch down.
    Don't think about it...just buy it! You won't be disappointed! 😁

      RCINFORMER ... Good deal. Yeah. That didn’t look like a field i see you fly from. Are they closing RC fields in your area? Our field hasn’t closed-but most our Pilots are up in age-and i not far behind near my mid fifties. The pollen is horrible...Thanks for the update. That A-10 i believe will be a hit. 👊😊

    Lovely plane, and next on my list! I estimate your flight time ~4m:20s. I was looking at the FMS A-10 Thunderbolt II 70mm, but I kind of like the smaller EF 64mm, more agile 45.2 inches (1149mm) WS vs a bigger bulkier FMS 59.1" (1501 mm) WS.

    Thanks for the video. Would it make much difference if I used a lipo with a higher C rate? I'm just deciding on which lipos to purchase. The higher C rating the more expensive the lipo. I'd not habe though 30C was enough for this edf? Cheers

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! I don’t usually use anything under 50c as a rule and with jets the higher the C rating the better. The batteries can be a little heavier in high C versions but the power density per gram is also a lot higher too. Manufacturers usually stipulate the MINIMUM recommended requirement when it comes to lipo C ratings with models so if you can go higher C you will get punchy power, longer battery life, and even improved flight times (depending on flight habits). Thanks for watching and hope this helps :)

    Are you just using stock throw settings as stated in Manual. Thanks again rich

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I am just using everything as it came out of the box. I SET 100% throw for high rates & 70% for low rates...(ZERO EXPO)..... It is strange, but everything was perfectly set out of the box with this plane:)

  • @sal2703

    Rich do you think a softer tire would help with the landings on grass?

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mostly soft tires are for paved surfaces... the minimize the bounce. Harder tires are usually better for grass as they roll better.

    Rich, I love your video's I particulary like your build video's you do an excellent job in and outside the box.
    I have a question, where is the placement of the 3200 Smart battery? I have seen reviews that some complained that at 55 CG plane seemed to run out of elevator. they moved smart 4000 back past the first strap. so if you could help by letting me know that placement on the 3200 and your CG Thank you a loyal Fan

    • @RCINFORMER

      Thanks for watching Robert! 55 to 60 mm worked fine for me. The front battery strap was never used. Only the rear battery strap held the battery down and was at the front edge of the battery.

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertglenn8759 Thank You for doing that! I appreciate it. I really don't notice a huge difference in the two sizes.... both seem to perform well in the model... one is just lighter smaller with less flight time & one is just a tad heavier, a slightly tighter fit & more flight time. I need to do a 5000mah demo next:) I did include the links for the lipos in the description also. The 3200 is a slightly easier fit in the plane but both fit fine.

    Hi. I keep ordering many planes. Bought Eflite’s 64mm a-10, habu rtf, umx v2 supercub, umx t timber in the last few weeks. Gonna buy many more til I find the best for my park area by our house. I can’t get much help. First ‘tuber to help will get my orders 😁.
    I flew the a10 64 one time. It was awesome! My landing was great too. But I didn’t notice a little clay mound, like a small ant hill. I hit it as I slowed down. Snapped my nose gear retract pin. I ordered eflg349 to fix it. But that darned E clip inside the retract is a bloody nightmare to get to. Can u tell me how to get that E clip off and then back on? It’s been 3 weeks now I’ve been posting in forums and such with no help.
    First TH-camr to reply gets my order of eflites umx a10, extra 300, and ultimate 3D. And the extras i keep ordering. :))))
    I’m in cancer treatment. Don’t have too long. Just lost my wife to breast cancer. And Houston can’t seem to keep a good shop in business.
    I’ll send much love to whomever sends it to us. :)

      RCINFORMER I have some experience with rc planes but I’m really trying to get into it now because I think it’ll be a great hobby, especially because of quarantine. But my goal is to fly edf jets in the future and I’m just curious on what should my first edf jet should be. My favorite aircraft of all time is the hog so this is probably my goal to fly but I know it takes time and experience. So if I could get some advice tha would be great!👍

      @@Adam-hq8di Please check out the 5 part series I just did on this airplane.... This grass demo that I did was not on a field that I have ever flown at before it was the 1st time.... It was a really rough field and it handled my hard landings without any foam compression or bent gear struts:)

  • @Cooldrums777
    @Cooldrums777 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was flying it for the first time on a grass field like this. During the landing the nose wheel hit a tiny little bump and snapped the nose wheel pin on the landing gear in half. Beware. The landing gear on this plane uses cheap material. The gear struts should be made of stainless steel because mine snapped like a toothpick.
