The lollipop lane is looking incredible Jess. So happy you found the deals on the flowers. Can't wait to see how they all do and fill out. See you in the next movie thank you for sharing your beautiful garden's with us 🤗💓💕💞
Ohh, such splendid colors, Jess! I hope you know how delightful you are and how much your viewers admire and respect you! You are a born smile maker, and your gardens are magnificent ❣️❣️💗💗 (It's so much fun feeling as if we are right there with you! 😘😘)
I love watching you fill in empty spots with so many colors of plants. You color sense is just great, and all you place looks perfect! Happy warm fall!
I love phlox. It's blooming for such a long time and the scent is amazing in the evening. Just found your channel and subscribed to it. Greetings Heidi 👩🌾💕
She planted a yellow one last year in one of her front porch pots.. I believe it was the proven winner variety. It stays shorter. It was beautiful and I think she did mention how much she loved it last year. She likes a plant it, forget it type of garden. lol, love it when she says “I can’t be bothered with that..” when talking about something. I bet a patch of them would be glorious in her area that was her old veggie garden tho… 😊
Yes I do love dahlia! I’ve done them before and they are awesome! Stacey is right, one of my favorite plants last year was the mystic illusion dahlia. I couldn’t fine it this year! Maybe next year :) 🎉
Hi Jess, how are you? I hope you’re doing well. I was watching your movie today and I remembered that turtle head perennial likes water and I’m watching you decide where to put the yellow plant and I thought that might work for you I love your movies. I am so happy that I found you. You are funny you are sweet you’re a love you are happy in your garden and I love to see that thank you. ❤
I haven’t really done much to it. I did add a few yards of soil but it was not enough. I’ve never really needed to use Biotone or soil enhancements because I have great soil everywhere else. So this has been sort of a fun challenge! i should try that 🎉
❤ I am in the same position I am in zone 8A Virginia Beach with very heavy clay soil that when it’s gets wet stays that way in my front flower beds. It’s always trial and error trying to figure out what is going to work in those types of spots.
Just beautiful Jes. Nice selection of plants. My opening act phlox did not do so well this year. I planted it last season but it stayed really short and only put on a few sporadic blooms & the leaves were kind of a mangy yellow from the start. I’m guessing they do not like their location I chose so I’ve been sitting outside thinking of a different place to transplant them to. But-I planted 10 heuchera this past week and I also moved a big clump of yarrow. I cleaned out an area of brush and Virginia creeper vines & in the process got a horrific case of poison ivy AGAIN!!! 😩😩😩 it’s horrible. I’m not gonna let it stop me tho because like you said - before long *whispers* snow will be here 😔😤 & I have 14 plants still in their nursery cans to get in the ground! I was not really very happy with my sun perennial bed this year.. last year (it’s first season) it was beautiful, this year it just was kind of ‘blah’ to me so I’m rethinking a few things and moving a few things… a garden is never quite done which I suppose is really the best part.. trying new things & having hope for the future. You have inspired me so much, I really can’t tell you how much you & your channel mean to me. Thank you. 😊♥️🙏🏼
Oh man I hope you phlox do better in a different spot. Sometimes if it’s not an obvious issue I’ll leave it there a couple years to just give it a chance to acclimate but sometime I can be bothered and just move it! I love that the garden is never finished! I feel like I’m a giant kid out there with all my toys, just playing! 🎉
Someone help this rookie out 🤔 I’m in Zone 6b and really need to divide and transplant Siberian and Bearded Irises and some Pulmonaria. We are less than 6 weeks away from our first frost date, so I thought it was too late to be planting stuff. Jess is in Michigan, Zone 5 something… is it okay for me to transplant right now???? 🤔
@@DanaLynnette watch how everything does over winter and you will know next year how long you can plant until it's to late. Anything you can't plant overwinter it in a larger pot if root bound and plant in spring 🌼
Dear One just a little motherly advice please.... I know you are young and strong but gardening can take a toll on the body. Please protect your feet and legs by wearing boots when digging, etc. there are some really cute demi boots with strong soles to help you not get bone spurs, broken blood vessels, etc. which would be hard to live with now and later. Our bodies are not plows. Love ya, Gayle
Awe thank you so much ❤! its so hard, I don’t like socks and shoes. 😂 I try sometimes! Right now just trying to soak up the last bits of warm summer :) I’ll bust my boots out soon !
Jes do you lose Echinacea over winter - I bought three and they were not cheap ! You would die at the price haha and only one has over wintered and come back :(
Hi Jess! Please consider using your mic on windy days like that. I love watching your videos but when it's windy like that, it's almost unbearable on the ears 😅

We are getting the winds here in Wisconsin too, prayers going out to all effected by the storm.❤
Joe pye weed loves water also! That would be a nice plant to put in the boggy area! Love those garden phlox!

Wow you find such great deals 😊❤
I wonder, when will you discover Dahlia's? Granted, they require some work, but they are soooo worth it! 💚

Have a wonderful day Jes ❤️
Enjoyed hope the new yellow plants make it so pretty.
Did you have a load of soil moved into that bed? Do you ever use a root growth fertilizer like Biotone? I love watching your videos.
That was my question. Or, was the property old farm land? I’m in Alabama and I am digging in clay. I have to supplement my soil.
That’s what I was wondering with all the different kinds of plants that might have different needs

Have you considered planting some spring bulbs in your garden Jes. They would be beautiful. Bonny
Beautiful!

Try and find bags of pine bark fines to mix in with your soil that should help.

Yes, I've been dividing some plants this week, also in zone 6B
From everything I know and have heard from other gardeners. You can plant up to your ground freezing. Hope this helps 🤗💓💕💞

Yellow flag Iris loves wet feet. Blooms yellow or purple. Not fussy. Will grow in large clumps rhizomes can be divided for more plants.
Hmmm! That sounds beautiful!
The Kniphofia needs well drained soil. I've had several die in poorly draining soil. Who knows mabe you'll get lucky. Vicki

You're not wearing your microphone. Sometimes it's really hard to hear you and it's windy.
I agree. In certain areas her voice was very muffled for sure, I feel the old way with her mic the sound quality was much soothing to the ear.
Yes I agree. I gotta figure it out how to use it better on windy days. It was driving me nuts too! 😂
