What a great experience for all of you to share. I admit feeling a little jealous and wishing I had a larger family to share oatmeal cream pies and sasparilla with. A very simple outing with major memory-making potential. My mom is 82 always says home again, home again jiggity jig. I thought she made that up, but I researched and it's a nursery rhyme called To Market To Home.

I almost forgot! Now that we have our first grandchild (just turned 5) we have a small 3ft tree for him with ornaments we buy every year for him. When he moves out/gets married one day, I’ll give him his ornaments for his tree. I did and still do for our girls which are now 30 & 32 yrs old. When we are long gone, they will remember each ornament when they put their tree up and think of us. 😊❤

Northwest Michigan, I always have a Fraser Fir and have also had as many as 6 artificial trees, with themed decorations. I’m down to the fresh tree and one artificial with mostly angels and other white/silver/gold ornaments. I’ve given my adult sons all their school and “younger days” ornaments; they like to have them adorning their own trees now.

we've ben married for 56 yrs and always have a real tree I introduced a FAKE pencil tree in kitchen with kitchen ornaments only we have ornaments from 1st time having a tree and everyone gets an ornament every year from me to add to their own tree. It was lovely of the 3 of you to take your mom tree shopping and decorate the tree with her. We use to go to the tree farm and cut a live tree when I was little. For the past several years have had a fake tree with the lights on it. Thanks so much for including us. The tree looks lovely and I’m glad your mom feels better.
Love your tree. We have an artificial tree that I’ve had for 41 years my entire marriage so it’s tradition to use that tree. I buy my three children an ornament every year so when they moved out they took their ornaments with them. I have a small artificial tree that I have travel ornaments on and the big traditional tree that we had for 41 years has ornaments that have been gifted to me over the years. I started buying my great nieces and nephews an ornament every year so now they have a collection.

I’m not doing a tree this year, my husband passed away in June and I am having to remodel an old mobile home to move into since I can’t afford the home we shared with my disability check. He also didn’t leave any insurance money to pay anything off. Thankfully I still have my family’s land to continue to homestead. I love the song you played, my youngest is a marine and I don’t know if he is coming home yet for Christmas. Our oldest son is in Arizona, he’s a lineman and I’m not sure if he will make it home either. But normally I have several trees that each have a different theme in various rooms. Merry Christmas! Beautiful tree! I have a number of tree themes that I will switch out. One is the tree is done totally in handmade ornaments my grandma beaded. I made icicles as well. The next is a rustic theme with ornaments that are wooden and burlap type. One theme that is primarily all dried floral picks. My favorite. And this year I have the tree decorated in a bunch of different Santa ornaments. No specific order. I just decorate the tree in whatever feels good for the year. 🎄🙂🎄

I put fake trees in different rooms. The den, the dining room, and the living room each get a tree. One is rustic, one is gingerbread/candy, and one is nutcrackers. This year, my oldest ornament is sitting proudly on the den tree. It's a little snowman I've had for over 50 years. It was the first ornament I bought all those years ago. I put the den tree up in the autumn, with fall leaves and flowers on it, then change it for Christmas, then Valentine's Day, then St Patrick's Day, then Easter. By then, I can get through the snow to put the trees away. (Our shed is too far from the house to trudge through the snow, and we get a lot!)
We have 4 artificial trees. Our main tree and flocked tree are decorated with old and new ornaments. Some we’ve had for our 50 years of marriage! Then we have a blue and silver tree that my 2 youngest Granddaughters decorated. My favorite is my silver tree with only vintage ornaments on it!! Merry Christmas!
The tree looks great . Love the crystal garland. I don't put up a tree but I decorate my front porch to the max. I put small Christmas things around the apt.. My daughter likes to make dinner at my grandsons place.

First Christmas as a Brand new Grandma to a beautiful little one month old Granddaughter! First girl born in our family in 44 years! Feeling so very blessed
I didn't think your brothers looked like you until the one watering the tree smiled and then just before he ate a Brownie he looked just like you! We used to get flocked trees but they became too expensive so we have a fake tree. We're not big on watering!

I’m one of the crazy’s that gets up at early 12/26 to hit Dillards, Macy’s and few other places for the sale on Christmas stuff! I’ve used my Christmas money for 25 years to buy more Christmas 🎄! 😊. My trees are artificial with a realistic look. I have trouble having a real live tree since it makes my sinus and allergies go crazy. This year I have shatterproof ornaments since my kittens are 8 months old. The tree looks beautiful!
I have ornaments for 47 years. But now I have a tiny tree so it’s for my 2 grandkids. Every year I get them or make them an ornament. So they put them on my tree every years. I used to have a fresh tree when my boys were kids. But here in Canada they cost more than a fake tree. I’m older and we just can’t set up the large tree anymore. As much as we loved it. I’m quite eclectic in my decorating style.
When I did a real tree, I was dog sitting. The poor thing got confused and decided the tree was just like being in the forest and you can imagine my surprise when I stepped in a puddle on my floor! He also drank from the tree stand. I love fresh trees however if I’m away for a while, I will have to settle for fake mini trees as it would be a fire hazard. I have a mixture of memorable ornaments and some to balance off the colours . 🥰❄️🎄🇨🇦
One has a hooded sweatshirt on under that shirt that I think is thermal lined. I think the other one's is thermal lined too. It's what "country guys" wear. They wear the same in rural Iowa where I'm from.

I do artificial trees because the real trees dry out fast. I put up three trees - 1 has all of our sentimental ornaments of 36 years, 2nd is my fancy woodland flocked tree with pheasant and deer antlers for a topper and third tree is our really fancy Christopher Radko collection of 25 years. I also have 17 ceramic trees throughout the house. All of my ornaments are mostly glass. I’m one of the crazy’s that gets up at early 12/26 to hit Dillards, Macy’s and few other places for the sale on Christmas stuff! I’ve used my Christmas money for 25 years to buy more Christmas 🎄! 😊. If you need an idea for a video/movie - have your subscribers send in pics of their Christmas trees and create a movie for all of to watch! I’d be happy to email pics of my decorations 🥰🎄🎅🏻
