Surprising results! It came out contradicting the ev-database number which show this i5 to get MORE range than kia ev9. However your test shows it goes LESS distance than Kia EV9. Thanks
I am awaiting the delivery of my i5. The biggest downside for me is the range. It needs a 90kWh useful battery. But what other options do I have? I don't really like the EQE, I don't want an appliance (tesla) and no SUV please. I'll have to stop a bit more over the next 3 years... But all in all, the i5 is, considering the price (corporate renting) the nicest option.
I am also waiting for the delivery since 28th of nov 2023 ... was due to be delivered in wk 5 (feb ) but BMW delayed delivery by 10 wks... now wk 17... hope yuou will have better delivert time...
Best result with 19-inch wheels, no sports bumper but the standard, so no sports package and no boost control on the steering wheel. That will get you the furthest.
If you are in the market for an electric car, and have this type of budget, why would you go for something like this? This isn't a ground up EV, therefore lacking in interior space, heavier and less efficient than a ground up EV. How did BMW go from the ground breaking i3 to churning out stuff like this?
Tesla's are ugly and have terrible build quality, I don' like the EQE's look and Audi doesn't have electric Sedans at the moment. I'll gladly use my I5 for the next four years, it's not like I'm doing long range road trips every week so I'll be enjoying my commutes in luxury. Also the Bowers and Wilkins sound system
I don't understand people disecting everything about the car every car wether it's electric or ice as its good points bad points thats fact if your testing an electric car don't expect to get the range the unrealistic figures say its not going to happen simple

@@SamFernando-tb8rg Mine is already at the dealer. It is a car they had available. I am just waiting for paperwork and registration.
Same decisions for me at the moment. What about VW id.7? Its cheaper and gets an useful 86kWh battery this summer.
thx mate . Good channel.

Im 196cm tall and the i5 has much more space in the front than a tesla model s (ground up EV).
@@roadgecko2.0 it's the back seats where the problem is. Also, i5 is a much bigger car that Model 3
@@markc3874 i said model s, not model 3.
