We recently returned to Sonic Pump Studios with our friends Kiko Loureiro, Tuomas Wäinölä, and Timo Kämäräinen to have them record their first guitar tones on Quad Cortex. Tuomas had previously used Neural Capture, but this was his first time using virtual devices on Quad Cortex. We hope to follow up with a similar video focusing on bass tones very soon. - เพลง

I am so happy Kiko is finally getting the recognition and exposure he deserves. Fantastic guitarist and composer!
I knew him from Angra for many years but I relatively recently discovered his solo stuff and DAMN, everything from jazzy, funky, fusiony stuff from the earlier records to more proggy stuff from the latest album is extremely tasteful & measured and he has insane chops on top of that! True mastery is being able to perform at the highest level but having enough restraint to know when to unleash it.
Never heard of him before except now, I just thought it was a random guitarist. But when reading the comments I saw something else xD totally gona chek him out after this playing!! It's sick!

Development on the Quad Cortex has come a long way. The "edge of breakup" tones are really honed in here. Fantastic job, Neural DSP!

Clean to Edge of breakup tones are make or break for me when it comes to modellers....and I must say this is sounding very promising! Look forward to more demos.

@@idanshahar Well they sure are promising the moon. Lets see if it lives up to the hype. Every Digital rig that comes out promises its the best. It will have the most DSP of anything out there...until winter NAMM when someone else announces something bigger and better.
I'm listening to this demo on Genelec speakers too and it sounds incredible. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these.

Never heard of Timo before, he’s got a cool style!
Timo is such a master of tone and so many styles of guitar playing! You can get a glimpse of his variety if you search for his pedal board demo in youtube "Timo Kämäräinen with Custom Boards pedalboard (in English)". He plays in variety of Finnish bands but mainly "Olavi Uusivirta" and his own "Ihana Leijona". I'd also recommend his live studio take "Loista vain livenä studiossa" if you are not afraid of finnish singing :D
listening through studio monitors, this is the most impressive modeler/profiler i've ever heard. It's no longer a question of "is it good enough to get by with". I'm finally sold on both the concept and the implementation.
These clean and crunchy tone nearly are more than perfect.

Timo is one the top players in Finland. He has a solo project called ”Ihana Leijona”.

Check out Ihana Leijona, his alter-ego and also his solo album Pulpae. For this kinda folk progressive rock type of thing I highly recommend Juha Kujanpää's albums on which Timo is featured.

I'm seriously worries it won't be as good as the plugins.. at least the amps that are not the plugins you purchase and load into it.
I am hoping and I am really looking forward to it but we need more sound samples.

I love Neural DSP plugins and the sounds from the Cortex sound really good! I was really going back and forth between a Helix and Headrush but this is a serious contender as well.

Man!! So awesome. I plan on getting one. Just recently in the past few months I got all the basic PC equipment I need to start recording music. Then I was thinking about what amp and few pedals I should get for my tones. But then I come across Neaural DSP and am just blown away. I literally had no idea what a plug in was until I heard of Neaural DSP and the Plini Archetype. Its such a mystery to me how this stuff works but it does and I'm glad.
Watching this in the bathroom in case my Helix sees me watching it and murders me Detroit Become Human style before I can replace it.
After playing the free trials of Neural DSP including Abasi, Plini, and Gojira I know exactly what these guys are capable of. Absolutely insane.
Best sounds so far by a wide margin, compared with previous demos. Particularly towards the end with those edge of breakup tones, wow

@The Wolverine I heard demos and reviews of the AXE III. Can’t feel this kind of “organic” or “living” sound at all.
And well, they could have done much more advance with the UI. But they didn’t (and the price was/is ridicoulous compared to it competition). The Headrush was better with the UI area, but the Quad Cortex takes it to a whole another level (both: sound quality and user interface). Is like it is stolen from the future!

I really like what I am hearing and seeing. I'm looking for something I won't have to replace next year because it became outdated. If it actually feels like playing an actual amp then I may be all in.

I fixed mine instantly by getting a String Butler and locking tuners. But yeah, Gibson should be ashamed for putting out so many guitars with tuning issues.

But what is the Cortex playing through? Direct into the board? Any preamp or interface in between?
Any chance you guys are going to release a plug-in version of the quad cortex "core", so to speak? That would be really interesting to me as I've been done with hardware for years and prefer the "all-in-one" style of guitar modeling over individual amp vst's.
Will there be a matching AU or VST plug in as a companion product to mirror the live settings in a DAW? I’m thinking something along the lines of what Line6 did with the Helix unit and the Helix Natice plug-in?

I have fm3 and axe fx 3 this seems easy getting and dialing in a tone with that touch screen!

@@josephgrant9615 I’m still waiting to get the quad cortex from Sweetwater ordered 3 months ago! The Fractal shit is kick ass but there’s a lot of fishing around in the parameters I just want to find a killer sound and have fun playing guitar! Fractal has so much though it’s freaking overwhelming!
