JJK's animators team putting their 120% of their potenial on this episode. Not only the animators, also both's VA. I gotta love the VAs in this series, as much as I dislike Mahito, but Nobunaga Shimazaki plays an amazing role as him, same goes for Jumua Enoki, such brilliant actors in anime.
All agreed, I'd also mention Miwa & Mechamaru's VAs because their (basically confession) scene got tears out of me.

Yeah the Animators and VA's have been doing amazing despite the awful schedule and crunch hopefully Mappa gives thier animators the break and pay they deserve and i really do hope Mappa learns from this and treats their animators and staff better giving them better pay and not such a tight and insanely short schedule as an example the JJK 0 Movie from what i remember sorry if this is wrong please correct me took 4 mouths to produce which is insane! It should of took a year to a few years to make that! Its insane. again give your thanks and love to the animators and staff at Mappa they are doing amazing despite all the stuff is happing and i hope they get the pay and breaks that they truly deserve.

The thing I like the most about Yujis response after Nobara is killed is that it subverts the usual "Anime Rage" moment. He's faced so much trauma in such a short time (The Choso Fight, Sukunas Rampage, Then Nanami) that he just can't take anymore. He can't even muster the energy to scream at Mahito again.
I read the whole manga and i was still jumping in my seat like a monkey when Todo showed up like he's Jesus, THIS. IS. PEAK!

I'm glad they used the manga panel. That was very cool. They should do it more often. They already skipped some panels in the Sukuna vs Mahoraga part when sukuna used domain expansion. That was a super dope panel.
They skipped some panels but also made the fight much longer not to mention everything was just straight up Better in anime version of sukuna vs mahoraga

I was thinking this episode would be just decent because the true insanity of this fight doesnt start till they go outside but holy fuck, they cooked, all three blackflashes were done so fucking beautifully, Todo’s blackflash was just an empty panel with his dialogue of not leaving Yuji alone then a single kick, and they turned it into a fucking psychedelic space beam explosion of colors, the 120% panel has been INSANELY hyped up for like three years and they did it perfectly, the voice acting was insane and that last part of Mahito… wow. Next week might be better than Sukuna vs Mahoraga
God I hope not, Sukuna vs Mahoraga was honestly the worst episode this season to me. So obviously unfinished & rushed with almost 0 clarity as to what was going on. Whenever they do the ridiculous insanity fights, everything drops (quality, choreography, fps, etc..). Just wish they would give the animators more time to actually finish the truly insane scenes with the same level of quality they did yuji vs choso.

Mahito's VA gotta be one of the best ones I've seen recently... and thats saying a lot giving the unreal standard of performance we've been seeing lately, especially for action anime in general.
I haven't gone back and watched to make sure, but I think the end of the opening is different now. Instead of looking back at a crowd of his allies before walking away, Yuji looks back at a ruined Shibuya skyline.
I actually went back to make sure,and you're absolutely right,it's haunting how they changed it by the end
Not only this, instead of the closeup on Shibuya, it shows a black hole engulfing the district (basically, what Sukuna did to it).
Nobara was a character that i love at the first sight. Dang, her passing feels the hardest for me.
We believe
She was cool but I think she should stay dead or come back really late that way the story will be so better and impactful.
Yuji crying on the floor is one of the most heartshattering anime scenes I've ever seen. I've been able to handle all the deaths - but sweet Yuji breaking down was too much for me. Fantastic voice acting.

Everyone talks about how great Junya Enoki is or the painful deaths or how much we hate Mahito, but can we talk for a moment about how great Nobunaga Shimazaki is?! He really knows how to embody Mahito's evil and madness! That last line "Try harder, Itadori! This is our last chance to curse each other!" It feels so sick and so realistic it was beautiful. As the opening says, he is special! ♡
