@@Cosyoukosajino, that's delusional. mappa treats its employees badly because they CAN. animators are passion workers, just like in the game industry, and so mappa allows themselves to treat them as bad as possible to maximise profit. mappa makes a lot of money, all the adaptations of popular series they make is proof of that, they are among the top studios of today.
other studios don't treat their employees as badly as mappa, the animation industry in japan treats their employees badly in general, but mappa is just extra vicious. it's not about money, nor about viewers that watch illegally because they can't afford it. don't shift the blame.

@@Cosyoukosaji uhm, who said that i am watching illegally? this youtuber also pays for crunchyroll, so it's not like piracy is even a point in this video. also as an information, most people that watch illegally do so because they can't afford it, most likely because they are minors or students. so they just CAN'T pay.
and i'm not pulling the bad treatment of MAPPA employees out of my ass: it is a known issue, and simply doing a little research on it yields a lot of testimonies from employees, as well as the average animators work hours, overtime/crunch and low wages.
and then adding MAPPA's crazy schedule, putting out huge project after project, not giving any breaks and pushing inhumane deadlines in the process, is the cherry on top.
hell, they published an UNFINISHED EPISODE, because that's how little time they had.
MAPPA is not a small company that has yet to make good profit, so don't act like it is a small business. piracy is not what is failing them, it is awful business practices.
This was already my highlight of season 2 and the fact this fight is a couple minutes longer is just the chefs kiss on top

Sukuna vs Gojo should legitimately be a movie. Like seriously. It's the best way to go about it. Have season 3 or 4 or whatever... end off on the build up to the fight, maybe even have it end on Gojo firing his Hollow Purple to build more suspense... then end the season there. Loyal fans will wait and then get the animation that fight deserves.

Actually, he wasn’t. As seen before, sukuna was faking him out. Mahoraga had not adapted to the concept of lying before. So sukuna could just fake him out. Sukuna didn’t know if mahoraga could see his dismantles or not, so he tested it by faking out big raga . When ragas wheel clicks, he then fakes out a punch on sukuna before going through with a different punch. Basically,

This episode and the previous episode is not made by the staff in Mappa that is generally responsible for JJK s2, these two episodes were completely handed off to a staff who is lead by a star with most connections with talented veteran animators Hakuyu Go, the team is basically called Hakuyu Go team now(even Vincent chansard has mentioned that the only reason he worked in a mappa show was because of Hakuyu Go) this team is a freelance grp they don't workunder some studio. This is literally the only reason why it was using a completely different art style which is called kagenashi aka shadowless shots(tho for aesthetic reasons now studios have started adding 1 or 2 shadow layers)

These Mappa chairholders are maniacs. Like imagine you produce the finale season of some criticallly acclaimed show and you just rush it out, using low budget, inhumane dead lines and mediocre CGI. That's what they did to Attack on Titan and now they are doing JJK dirty, which isn't even surprising atp. I just feel bad for the Animators man. We all have been robbed. The world would have lost it's fucking mind If this episode aired with the finished version.
They did dirty to JJK schedule for sure, but AoT blame isn't on them they asked for a year delay to finish everything INCLUDING 2D TITANS but they got declined by the TV producers
Jujutsu and AOT had both really good cg, Most of the scenarios in AOT were 3D models, like Liberio (while people were sucking ufotable with the red district and the copy paste city the dudes at mappa did almost every background that appeared in more than 2 chapters a model). Episode 13 of jujutsu relied heavily on it in the bathroom fight, for example.

Out of topic but i really love the background becoming red to show the chaos, that is something that is missing in the latest mha season. There is no artistic choices like that when its complete chaos and when a certain character becomes a literal demon. Like Bones was this close🤏 to add rainbows to the blue sky although everything is going wrong in the scene

it's amazing what the animators could do with the time they had coz i was watching the whole episode with my mouth open like 😮 before even finding out about what's the situation at MAPPA. The only time i was taken out a little throughout the entire season was when they were in Dagon's domain, because that place was supposed to be really bright and sunny, and it stood out as a little bland, but apart from that most of the season is dark i mean it all happens at night, so it's not THAT noticeable, and it was still amazing, with how many bright colors they used during the Mahoraga fight, it was straight out artistic tbh

We waited 4 years for AOT Season 2. If they had pulled an invincible and took a couple months between Hidden Inventory and Shibuya not a single person would have complained.

In the event that JJK season 2 had been made under a healthy schedule, this fight would have been completely different due to the fact that MAPPA wouldn’t have thrown every talented industry veteran and free lancer under the sun at this episode to get it done on time. Therefor, we wouldn’t have gotten more consistency, but way less artistic flair and variety. An episode like this won’t ever be made again. Or at the very least, this episode is truly a one of kind due to a million different variables, both for better and for worse.
The animators nor MAPPA can really decide when these episodes come out. Like they could take like 3 months off and improve everything but everyone is going to be mad at them and call them out and the companies want their product running weekly is why this was not ready on time

this was absolutely insane, no doubt about it. whether finished or unfinished though i sometimes struggle understanding what i’m even looking at. that’s my only gripe with this type of animation style i think details can get lost in the greatness of it all

If jjk would have come like 10-15 years earlier, it would not even have this animation or ther hype it has right now. Probably like many other good or decent animes not even a second season. I agree that Mappa needs to lighten up on the crunch, like a lot for the sake of the animators health. But to kinda help bring another perspective on why they can’t all the sudden delay an episode. Remember that in Japan these episodes air on tv, not a streaming service. So because of that they need to pay for time slots to air, by suddenly delaying they forfeit that time and lose the money. So execs don’t like to waste the money for something they can force out. Do I agree with it, not in the slightest. All I’m doing is shedding some light on a factor that most don’t know about.
