You should use the ALT key more. On the bonus screen it places the present which will neutralize one of the white cats. In the cheese it will allow you to get through the holes in the cheese, in the aquarium you will swim faster, etc.. Besides this - this really is one of my all time favorite games..
also if u run then jump at the same time as letting go of run, u can jump directly upwards at 2x normal jump height to get onto the higher trash cans in the alley and such :) hope speed runners start running alley cat some time in future lol
We had this ancient I.B.M. computer into the middle of the Nineties and this was the best game it could run. It's possible I've spent more time playing "Alley Cat" than any other game in my life.
I'm sure you did, but this was not the point, here i was also playing 1st time after 30 years for quick practice, not heading for the record books. I also forget little things like how to go thru the cheese holes..

i remember playing this as a 6-7 years old child on a Windows 95 PC. good old times. this game and another car game that i need to remember its name
It ran on DOS.
I find myself humming the intro song now and then for no reason. :)
Ah the best game in the world. I loved this game when I was a child haha
One of the first pc games i ever played.
Anyone wondering, the controls were not the most responsive in this game, so it's harder than it looks. Alas!

It was a 64K COM file. It would have played on any PC. 5150 on out.
I use to play this game when i would visit my uncle's house back in 96.
Played this in the early 80s on my uncle’s pc in Germany- thanks for this anastolgica
Interesting little game. Never played it. Amazing how much gaming technology has progressed since the mid-80's.
Oh, the memories!
1MB of pure action!
more like 55KB
Where do you get 1,024k from? COM files were limited to 64K

If you jump up into the arrows, you fall down to the floor and they don;t remove the floor! (can be tricky)
Played it a lot about 27-28 years ago.
Such a fun game!
You can play it here as well - www.dosgamesworld.com/game/alleycat

This comment is the most “cool story bro” moment I’ve ever seen.
