This is the 2nd in a 4 part series covering:
1. New recruits: what is Bolt Actionnajd how to get started.
2. Building an Army: look at the different armies and how to utilise the platoon structure to build your first army.
3. Create a Battlefield: the basics of field craft and an insight into setting up a battle field for your Bolt Acttion battles, mats, terrain and eye candy!
4. Beginners Game: taking a new player through their first battle of Bolt Action, explainingthe rules and some do’s and don’ts.
This series will run every Friday night at 7pm GMT (19:00 hours) for the next 4 weeks taking us up to Christmas and just in time to start your own army with your new Christmas Army… New Year, new army!?

I took the plunge and picked up the Island Assault starter set and got a code to pick up the 3rd edition rule book. Should be arriving in the post any day now. Initially, I'm going to be focusing on the IJA so will use your lessons to build those forces.

your video is very useful, im building armies to play with my father, i have gentelmen's war starter set and i used tredemtion code to get my 3rd edition rule book. we will have 4 armies, litzkrieg germans, bought starter set, frencha army, afrika corps and british which will include LRDG/SAS force in it. Cant wait to see more videos that will help me with getting into bolt action:)

You have a pretty good start already with those armies… check out my 8th Army and LRDG showcase videos I did, it will give you some ideas for painting and basing.

Just getting to bolt action via the bulge starter set, lovely change of pace from painting space marines. Can't wait to see more of it from this channel tbh, excellent looking armies, really gets me excited to paint more little germans and americans.

Useful series for BA. My only problem is I really hate paying a subscription to use the app, it’s very GW. So I will probably use easy army or just pen & paper.

I tried to give the main options for building armies, I do however think that the Warlord app is very good, but do understand that some don’t want to pay for this when there are free options 👍🏻
