@@smore1g so let's say the stock 240cc injectors flow 10lbs/h. The new ones 440cc flow 20lb/s. So now your either going to flood the motor with fuel or be way to lean. The fmu can only add fuel by load and can't be adjusted by psi. Now the injectors also have a spray pattern that you need to set in the ecu and needs to be set to get the car to run smooth. So all of these things are gonna make the ecu constantly adjust and will never give it a clean burn.
Can order a chip for 20 buks which will get you super close on the map. Crome is free and you can set all of this stuff. Anyone thinking fmu on a late 80s to 00 is a moron who does 0 research. Granted there is a few ecus that can run any honda it just doesn't run correctly.

More specifically it’s the ignition coil in the dizzy if you want to save some money. mine went bad right after I replaced the transmission in my car. my high school shop teacher spent 3 days diagnosing; probing wires, printing wiring diagrams etc. I spent 10 minutes reading Honda forums and found the solution. It was right at the end of the school year and had to have it towed home on the last day for something that had nothing to do with replacing the trans.
He wont download crome free and thinks he can run double the injector rate with an fmu which only adds more fuel. Can even sell the fmu and get a 20 dollar chip from any tuner.

Know another guy putting down 450rwhp with bigger injectors, and adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and a 8:1 FMU on a 7mge. Standalone is no doubt the better route to take, but when your trying to boost on a budget... Rodknock is an idiot for not hooking up a wideband before driving it.
Nick Freeman ahaha same here. Mine held up on the dyno next day car was misfiring check the cap and rotor and the screw that held in the rotor backed out so the rotor was just spinning on the rotor shaft . stupid but easy fix
you cannot use a parts store distributor!!!!!!! I been around turbo Hondas a lot all parts store distributors don't make enough spark and do not work on turbo cars!! I've seen it on the dyno about a dozen time unfortunately
PghRacer79 OEM Distributors and plug wires or NGK blue plug wires. !!!! Maybe even a coil on plug setup. Sometimes aftermarket distributors are wire incorrectly the wire for the cyp sensor is in the wrong location forgot what pins you have to change on the plug
Even still if they are not wired wrong they work but they have spark blow out issues with the aftermarket junk! I agree c.o.p. Is definitely the solution to it all
Please check your Cel codes. See if one of the sensors is bad. mainly the Cyp sensor. Do not buy a auto zone distributor. OEM Distributors can handle alot of HP. And use either stock spark plug wires or NGK blue wires. See if the plug wires are in the correct orientation. test the igniter coil.

All you need is a new cap/rotor and an igniter. Don’t waste money on an autozone distributed. All they do is clean it up and replace those 3 things and resell them.

If the distributor is done..pull it apart and put in a new coil and igniter. Junkyard and pocket a bunch..cheap and easy fix. Youll have more issues down the road with a shitty autozone unit
It could be the crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor as well if it’s not a distributor. Also once again you should let me H 22 swap it
If you removed a spark plug while car was on, than you fuked up you ignition coil from the dizzy you don’t need to buy a complete dizzy just get the ignition coil and you’ll be back in business 👍🏼
If it sounds like a wrx you may have a cracked exhaust valve happened to the d16 on my profile picture easy fix plus you can throw arp head studs in and change the head gasket
just replaced the dizzy on my Civic and it's literally the same car as yours, 98 ex. and i get better milage and no misfire everything about my car is better after i fixed that corroded ass dizzy.

The car will never run right with aftermarket injectors and stock ECU. You need to remap the entire fuel map to match the injectors.

I’m no expert and could be wrong but oil for Diesel engines usually have zinc in it and that’s why basically, shouldn’t be harmful

Those bigger injectors are dumping slot of gas in the oil.
That wasn’t cold start.... you put bigger injectors that you do not need. I just did mine last week. The motor is blown now. Tune it.
Be careful with autozone distributors. Sometiemes theyre faulty. Oem is the way to go on distributors for honda. It could also just be the cap
