A little fun fact that a few others and I have noticed: when John and Francis were conversing in the Red Circle, John was speaking in code asking how many bodyguards were inside the establishment and Francis replied "Over sixty" which is why *sixty* was highlighted in bold letters of the subtitles while they were talking in Russian. Francis thanks John for his act of mercy and takes his suggestion, deciding to walk away from his post. So John Wick only kills those who are in his way, Francis made the smart choice to not be one of those people.

Crazy to think this movie is *8 years old* as of me writting this. It and the sequels have aged like fine wine. And the best part, Keanu Reeves has apparently stated that as long as people keep supporting these movies he'll keep coming back to do them Which is insane considering he does 99% of his own stunts ,is pushing 60 right now and is currently working on the 4th one. Fun fact: Apparently Keanu got so good with guns that the stunt coordinators and people with actual military that were brought in to help with the movie were kind of impressed.
Keanu does alot of his own action (fight scenes) and his stunt doubles get hit by cars or jump off things. He always very clear about giving a lot of gracious credit to the stunt teams.
Actually if you noticed the trail of blood, they didn't set the dog in front of John. They stomped on the poor things head, and as it was dying, it crawled to johns side seeing it's master hurt. Died beside him. Heart breaking loved your guys reaction though.
I watched a lot of reactors and they often just don't put 2 and 2 together. Not really their fault, just they are so caught up in the scene it can be a simple, but important thing to miss.
Simple thing that makes this movie one of the best action movie af the last 20 years...John Wick reload his gun which is rare in action movies, take damage and has limited ressources. And the choregraphy are glorious ! I also love just the fact you says his name, people knows what he is about !
you can see the blood trail showing the dog used the last of its strength to crawl to him as it died. Also in the scene with Francis when he said he lost 60 kilos he was actually telling John how many guards there were
My favourite underrated thing about this film is the use of colour. Blue and Green support John. Red supports the enemy. Golden and White represent leaving the assassin life.
One of my favorite things about this franchise is that not only did Reeves do his own stunts for near all of it, he also put in the time and effort to practice marksmanship so he could do all of that himself as well! You can actually find clips of him practicing the stuntwork at the range and it's epic. One of the reasons that folks familiar with firearms love it- the realism.
This movie is everything. John Wick is everything. Rarely do you have a character so built up, and it be 1000+% true. He's legend, and beastly efficient, my joy hurts because you grin the whole movie without even realizing it. And he's real. Most movies treat the main like they're in God-mode and they don't get hurt, but he gets hurt and he gets back up. Anytime I wanna get my Wick on I bust out Resident Evil 5 and play Mercenary mode it's me and my rifle and tons of sweet death 😂. The dead puppy was a beagle. I used to have one her name was Gypsy 🙂
I'm pretty sure the initial scenes with John's wife's dying and the letter hit hard for Keanu as he lost his wife in the past as well as his best friend, that man has been through it all in real life so it translated to a relatable emotional connection with Keanu as well as audience it wasn't only because of the clever action sequences and directing which made it that much more enjoyable.
This franchise is easily in my top 5 for movie franchises of all time. Love Keanu and how badass he is as an actor. The fact that he did so much training to be able to handle the weapons in these makes me have so much respect for him, and god does he make it look easy and good lol and the world they created is just epic
React to the short videos of Keanu's training for these movies!! He did 90% of all the stunts in the movies. He's a legit badass with the kindest heart!
The dog is a beagle. They were made to hunt foxes, the white tail tip was bred into the breed so the humans following would see the little white tips through the brush.

John Wick uses a Heckler & Koch P30L fitted with a custom compensator as his primary firearm through the film. Two Heckler & Koch P30L pistols are seen in John's hidden arsenal...he also uses a Coharie Arms CA-415 with a shortened barrel, EOTech 553 holographic sight, vertical grip and Magpul PMAG several times in the film... at one point John uses the Kel-Tec KSG shotguns fitted with an EOTech XPS2 sights...A sniper guarding Iosef Tarasov's safe house uses a Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Recon Scout sniper rifle. John Wick later commandeers the rifle....when he uncovers his cache of weapons you also see two Glock 26 pistols, four incendiary grenades( used to burn Viggo stash), a KA-BAR serrated Tanto, and a Microtech UTX-70.
I always thought daisy crawled to John with the little bit of life she had left. We saw how instantly attached she was to John. And there were bloody drag marks on the ground as if she crawled
I said it before and I'll say it again, this is not the first assassin who has killed someone with a pencil. JASON BOURNE did it first with a pen in Bourne Identity.
He actually did guns, martial arts and drive training for this so him shooting, him fighting and him driving is all Keanu Reeves!! Daisy crawled to John which made the scene so much more painful!!! Also John left all his effs at his house cause he rode the public bus with blood on his shirt and didn't care about people looking 👌 Vigos assistant is mayhem from the insurance commercials
The videos of his training on the range are on TH-cam. It's so cool to watch cuz he's working with professionals on how someone would clear rooms, etc.
The moral of the story is.... If you see a cute puppy, love it and pet it. Don't curb stomp it cause the owner may be the one who can kill the Boogeyman. Also the badguy who throws John over the club balcony played Agent Johnson in The Matrix Reloaded.
Yessssssssssssssssssssssssss I'm so glad you made a reaction to this!!! Please do a reaction on the Equalizer and Nobody! And so excited that you're watching the second one! Should watch up to date on John Wick so you're prepared for when the new one comes out!
I will most certainly give James major kudos for perfectly translating what it says on John Wick's back!!! The quote, Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat, translates to "Fortune favors the bold". To all those who haven't learned Latin yet- all is well, no worries!!! French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian happen to have descended from this language. 😉
That's Central Park near the main fountain, also the movie Ransom with Mel Gibson was filmed this location. Live looks even better, Imagine walking at night that at night or under snow. Awesome place NYC
One of my go-to rewatch films. Everyone did so well in their roles and its such a fun watch every time! I also love all the little behind-the-scenes facts and world builng that accompany it!
I haven't read all of the comments, but car #2 was a dope ass Chevelle. Car #3 was a newer Charger. The first was obviously a Mustang. They ran the gauntlet as far as car companies go.
It was a neo noir action movie. Dark, gritty, violent, morally gray, action packed, stylish, deep. The Batman was called John Wick Batman and you can see why. They're in the same genre.
That is very true!! Tho this is less noir and a lot more straight out action. A huge part of noir is the detective element, even things like voiceover. There’s a lot more of that in The Batman
@@whitenoisereacts noir isn't necessarily a detective film genre. More of an art style. It's defined as a a style or genre of cinematographic film marked by a mood of pessimism, fatalism, and menace. Lots of movies and shows fit into the genre. Cowboy Bebop, Blade Runner, John Wick, even Constantine. The Cyberpunk genre itself is largely a spin off of Neo Noir.
I personally call the "Setting up a character via OTHER characters" - thing, "The Boba Fett Treatment". You see how respectful Darth Vader is towards Boba Fett in Empire Strikes Back? You KNOW Boba is a Badass! That entire scene with Viggo giving exposition is perhaps my FAVORITE in the whole movie! From the first, "Oh.", to the end. I LOVE it!
Keanu did pretty much all his own stunts with some exceptions. he wanted to do them all but he was told it be too dangerous. Keep in mind he's in his 50s as he made these. He also trained with gun experts and took I believe jiu-jitsu. He does what he can to make his characters come to life. Also the club scene where he's going after the brat son he had a 104 fever.
FYI John wick 4 it's done it will be out next year march 24 2023 trailer is out already be sure too check it out need too watch too understand #4 movie wick 2 gets crazy
Perkins is executed in the Bethesda Terrace Arcade in Central Park. (The Bethesda Terrace Fountain, with its Angel of the Waters statue, is visible in the background.) The John Wick series references many locations in New York City. Edit: Bethesda Terrace appears again at the end of John Wick 2. Winston seems to like doing certain kinds of business there.
It didn’t hit me until watching it this way but the simple fact that there’s another living thing that you care about making noise and moving around in a house that big and modern and stark and cold is really significant.
@@whitenoisereacts and it also has the same kind of cathartic “I get to enjoy this violence guilt free because of how evil the people being killed are” vibes as Tarantino; Django and Basterds come to mind 🙂
I haven't seen this movie yet. In fact the only Keanu Reeves movie I ever liked was the devil's advocate. Amazing movie, you should watch that one here!
David Letich also directed Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde and Bullet Train. There are separate videos online you can see of Keanu Reeves training both in Jiu-Jitsu and on the gun range. Ms. Perkins was played by Adrianne Palicki. I LOVE her character in Agents of Shield. I also loved her in the Red Dawn remake and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
In My Mind by M83 playing during that pool scene is the best thing I've seen in film. When he stabs the guy and is just staring in his eyes watching him die and lowering down with him. Then the club scene... So good. This one is still my favorite of the 3 mainly for the OST.
The carbine he uses at the church is a Coharie Arms CA-415, a US made clone of the HK416, the shotgun he picks up is a Kel-Tec KSG, and, the sniper rifle he uses at the end is a DTA Stealth Recon Scout in .338 Lapua Magnum.

KEANU REEVES WAS BORN TO PLAY JOHN WICK FOR ME👍👍🔥. IT WAS GREAT TO SEE WILLEM DAFOE AND IAN MCSHANE IN THIS FRANCHISE AS THEY ALWAYS NAIL IT WITH THEIR PERFORMANCES👍🤩. I LOVED THE ACTION SEQUENCES AS ITS A GOOD MIX OF REALISTIC ACTION AND GUN ACTION❤️. LOVE YOUR REACTION❤️❤️👍
The location Perkins gets killed at 39:39 is in Central Park believe there’s more than one each being a little different recognize this one from the fountain in the back! Super easy to find but you would never guess
That’s SUPER COOL!! Definitely will check out!
The world building in this franchise is chef’s kiss.
Keanu did most of the stunts for this film I don’t know exactly how much but for all the John Wick films he did nearly all his own stunts
Joker did it in The Dark Knight. I am also pretty sure it has happened in Get Smart! at some point.
Two words: Willem Dafoe! his every role is a feast for the eyes!
Film: 174,765 people die
Audience: Hell Yeah
Film: Dog has a claw cut
Audience: "Kill them all" 😂🤣
The dog crawled back to John
That’s so sad…
Dang!! That’s what I was gonna do…
Keanu did almost all of his own car stunts for all the John Wick movies and I love it
John Wick has great use of subtext. Great classics often do.
You guys, I was so glad to see you reacting to this!
Thanks !!
One of my go-to rewatch films. Everyone did so well in their roles and its such a fun watch every time! I also love all the little behind-the-scenes facts and world builng that accompany it!
Keanu Reeves actually did all of his own stunts
I think the guy John let go is a wrestler from wwf days named Kevin Nash from N.W.O.
Great choice. So glad you started John Wick’s saga. Please continue through Parabellum (getting ready for movie 4 next Spring)
I LOVE it!
Yes!!! Great name for it
LOVE!! AND action gets more intense for next 2 movies!!!
You're right that this isn't just an action movie. It's a straight up drama!
when i first watched this i skipped the part with the dog, really cant take watching scene like that really heart breaking... 😭
Keanu before filming learned everything from specialists about how to shoot, stab, drive, and fight. Look up on TH-cam it's fascinating.
That’s AWESOME
It didn’t hit me until watching it this way but the simple fact that there’s another living thing that you care about making noise and moving around in a house that big and modern and stark and cold is really significant.
Yeah for sure!!! It's great
@@whitenoisereacts and it also has the same kind of cathartic “I get to enjoy this violence guilt free because of how evil the people being killed are” vibes as Tarantino; Django and Basterds come to mind 🙂
Jimmy and Francis are two of the smartest characters in this movie. John Wick is working again? Be polite and stay the hell out of his way.
So loving your reactions!
This trilogy is my favorite movie series. Love John Wick and I can't wait for the fourth movie.
In My Mind by M83 playing during that pool scene is the best thing I've seen in film. When he stabs the guy and is just staring in his eyes watching him die and lowering down with him. Then the club scene...
So good. This one is still my favorite of the 3 mainly for the OST.
While it’s not all that complex of a plot, the story is very much like John himself: lean, effective, interesting, and really cool.
I love these movies so much! It is super fun to see reaction videos affirming how awesome these are.
Yes, yes, yes. It's a joy to see this reaction of John Wick. The movie is extraordinary. Thanks guys. I agree to all that shit you said about it. 😆😂👍👏
And I'm pretty sure he does a lot of his own stunts
The whispered expletives in the theater when Vigo said “Oh” and “…to *kill* the fuckin’ boogeyman”
Epic😌🙏
Didn’t realize William Dafoe was in this until now 😅
The BEST action movie of the last 25 years!
John's car at the beginning was a '69 Mustang Boss 429. The replacement he gets is a '70 Chevy Chevelle SS 454 LS6.
Somebody on the production team knew their big block muscle cars.
His gun is a HK P30L in 9mm, with a compensator.
Love this movie, john wick 3 is by far my fav,so good .
Awesome 😎 the John wick movies are awesome and get crazy with each sequel can’t wait for John wick chapter 4 to come out I think it’s next year can’t wait
Yeeeeees John Wick such badass movie… I’ve only watched all three of these movies this year & loved them!!! Only thing I didn’t love was what happen to that poor doggy 😢
I know!!!
39:45 that place is in Central Park! Super sick place to visit
39:44 "Where is this location?" - It's the Bethesda Fountain and Terrace in the Central Park, NYC. You can see the angel in the background. It's not the only scene shot there in the John Wick franchise.
