Hey John, Well like you I can't believe they did give Octopath traveler 2 a 7... they also did give Ys: Memories of Celceta that I think do not deserve! Thanks for the video!
Fun vid, thanks John! Am I crazy in thinking that a 7/10 should still be considered decent? I like a lot of games in that range... IGN and JRPGs go together like peanut butter and sand. 😂 Seriously though, they are one of the outlets that made our favorite JRPG devs not like the term JRPG. I agree something seems a bit off with Divine Force, it almost feels like the characters don't "fit" in the world? Haven't played it, so I can't be more specific. Soul Hackers probably deserves that 7/10, the dungeon design was pretty bad but I like what I've played of it overall. Depending on how much they played of it, I'm surprised that TotAbyss didn't score lower. The first few hours were pretty rough for me. I was probably 15 hours in before I warmed up to the cast. Octopath Traveler 2 and Like A Dragon getting 7/10 probably should have gotten the writers fired IMO.
Love the thumbnail and the timestamp names 😎 Definitely agree with Legends Arceus being a 7/10, it's a solid Pokemon game and I liked how they tried something new, but it doesn't offer enough replay value to me personally 😅
Yeah I get that. About SO5 though, have you heard of Germany's Premier Star Ocean 5 Enthusiast, Luca is his name, and Star Ocean is his game. Feiito Gaming loves it
Like A Dragon for PC is why I'll never buy into raytracing nonsense because of how good the game looks through carefully curated design (although my favourite way of playing is with one of the VHS filters via ReShade which makes the game look like some early 2000s TV drama that I used to devour, like Trick)
I'd give star ocean 6 an 8.5. I actually love the creepy doll look but don't think the 3D platforming collectathon adds anything to the series. Basing most of the game in medieval fantasy locations instead of scifi locations or planet hoping means less dope space rock from sakuraba.
The only one on this list I’ve played is Lightning Returns 😂 some of the entries surprise me, wonder if the reviewers weren’t into the genre 😂 and with Yakuza if they didn’t like the genre shift 😅
Yeah, IGN is terrible. Right now, they're dealing with the consequences of committing slander against the developer of Black Myth: Wukong. Fun fact that will blow people's minds: IGN also gave a 7.7 to "The Guy Game." That's a disturbing rabbit hole to go down, so do it at your own risk, but yeah, IGN is terrible. There's no way to understate how terrible IGN is. Just look at what was included in "The Guy Game" that IGN so heavily promoted. Go down the rabbit hole enough to find the truly disturbing part. They've taken down their positive score/review for "The Guy Game" btw, because they were taking so much criticism for it. So if you go looking for it now, you won't find it. The internet never forgets though.
What is your favourite 7/10 game?
@@chickenfillets tales of the abyss all the way. But more like the ps2 version

Hey man! I know absolutely crazy! 🤣🤣

Hey man! Thank you! Peanut butter and sand hahahaha! I mean some of them yeah I get the ratings but nae Yakuza and Octopath hahaha

Hahahaha I'm glad you picked up on it haha
Mate.... they gave like a dragon a 7? That's got me buckled 😂😂
I know! Absolutely mental!
Really cool video man!
SO6 is definetly a 8/10 for me. IGN and their sevens are almost funny at that point lol
This comment is awarded 7/10
For some of these I see the 7/10 but Like A Dragon?! That is definitely a 10/10 in my book. Crazy!
Hahaha yeah when I saw it as well I was completely stumped!
The “HULLO” on the Ichiban headbutt was so damn funny. Awesome video overall, very respectful despite the DISRESPECTFUL scores by IGN 😂
You know what that nearly didn't go in, I was editing this on my phone and the idea just flew in hahaha!
Honestly, Star Ocean Divine Force totally deserves a 7/10. It's a huge step above SO5, which i give a 2.5/10
Yeah I get that. About SO5 though, have you heard of Germany's Premier Star Ocean 5 Enthusiast, Luca is his name, and Star Ocean is his game. Feiito Gaming loves it
@@chickenfillets lol I know all about that.
@@mechaotakugamerreally? I heard this guy is an idiot though. But I agree SO5 is garbage.
DUDE! Like a Dragon 7/10? Are they freaking nuts? WOW!
i know!!! hahahaha
Interesting list John, I'm a big fan of Pokémon Legends Arceus too. Want to try out Star Ocean The Divine Force.
Divine Force is a decent game man!!! have a good weekend :D
@@chickenfillets You too buddy :)

That filter sounds awesome! As I know exactly the look you are talking about!
Octopath traveler 2 is a 9 out of 10 easy. One of the best RPGs I've ever played.
And definitely not the 7/10 hahaha
I’m here for the wee Scottish guy talking about it!
HULLO
I'd give star ocean 6 an 8.5.

@@chickenfillets sorry, got to play the rest of the series first 😉
Must be upside down town
Hahahaha!
