This is a fun one! Something something Megadrive games - the Genesis was my 16-bit console, always love hearing other people's experiences from the golden age of consoles. Even if you didn't play them on original hardware, I think many of us would listen to a wee Scottish guy talk about games like Shining Force and Phantasy Star! Edit: My favorite spin-off from an RPG is probably Persona Q. The characters are a bit oversimplified but the presentation, music, and gameplay make it worth the trip IMO.
Love the video, content creation isn’t easy, especially when on a very specific topics like jrpgs. Appreciate the honesty and thought the video turned out well.
Thank you! Yeah I wanna make sure I get content out every week and make sure its like different lists, I rarely repeat any of my lists but I may have to revisit some soon haha!
Hey John, as I am proudly part of the Chicken fillets collective, I approve of your video! If you want me to send you multiple videos with expression, I can do that lol spinoff JRPG... not sure, how about Bravely default, that a spinoff from the real good Final Fantasy no? just kidding lol As for Octopath traveler, that weird, I never grinded beside for the final optional boss, there was always so many thing to explore, that I did level up naturally as I was playing!
Mate ALL yes! Zestiria was really good, its not Arise, but it was fun. XVI is just impeccable, I hope Square continue that way. And Dirge Of Cerberus is an often overlooked banger and as you touched on, it has themes & characters coming into remake/rebirth 💙
“It’s been a whileeee” hahahaha I love that song, shoutout to Staind. Honestly I love this format! I know you like your topics, I love them all, but definitely feel free to use this again!
You've reached the creative peak now you can go wild! RPGs that make you want to eat marshmallows. 10 JRPGs to play the bagpipes to. What a casual Sunday would be like in these RPG games. Go nuts!
Tales of Graces F has one of the greatest battle systems in any action jrpg, its on par with the likes of KH2 FFXVI on PC is a completely different game, without cooldowns and new animation cancel mods, its amazing Man Tales of Berseria was so awesome, probably my favorite game in the series
@@chickenfillets no worries man. I appreciate the Switch pick. I didn't play Octopath Traveler 1 but just finished 2 earlier this year and I was hooked. One of the few games I've completed 100%. Even beat the insane secret boss
The helicopter is probably searching for your hat 😮 and the next video has to be Something Something Hats 😂 You know, "Something Something JRPG" is a better channel name than Chicken Fillets 🤔😜 Stop showing me Cosmic Star Heroine, Ive got enough of a backlog 😂 Dirge of Cerberus doesn't get nearly enough love. Dragon Quest Builders is deffo one of my favourite spin-offs 😎👍
*passes over the Dreamcast and the Mega Drive* …..skies of Arcadia?!?! Phantasy star 4?!?!?! I’m playing lost odyssey at the moment 😂 yeah the first couple of bosses are tough 😅 for the first one level up to 15 and for the second you can find a ring that stops paralysis on the beach before it. Get the two immortals to learn the ability and have the human wear it to make the fight far easier!
I mean.... It's something haha!
It's not nothing!
@@Original_Brute_Force it's Definitely something haha
