      Got the same issue, by any chance does yours currently sound rattly? Like a diesel in a way because of the sensor

    Thanks! I had to search for two hours before finding this video. Too bad there aren't many schematics of the full engine / electrical connection. I've the same problem after having fixed my 6-year-long issue with rich mixture (it was the broken stock engine cover, fixed with aftermarket intake, that's ridiculous!!!). I really hope it's just a matter of electrical contact or just the solenoid being clogged or gone bad and not the actuator. Engine runs almost fine, I just got the engine light on and a moderate loss of power. Going to check soon :)

    Hi that is reallygoodvideo and help a lot.i have same code as yours on my golf gti turbo.did I have to replace just one solenoid on back or both ones..and also my wire plug is mess up like yours too

    • @mrmsv5042

      Thankyou. It depends on your car and its issue really. For mine i noticed the plug that was broken therefore only had to replace the one solenoid which seemed to sort the issue on mine. Change the one where you have the same broken plug. If that does not resolve it then you could change the second. Obviously without looking at it i could not really give the best answer. But hope that helps. Thanks, Mr MSV

    Hello ,did you make the intake system by yourself? If yes, can you make a Video of how to do it and share the BOM?

    • @mrmsv5042
      @mrmsv5042  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, no i did not make the intake system. It was purchased online and i fitted it. Unfortunately i do not have a video of me fitting it. But I’m sure there are some videos out there showing the process of how to fit it. Thanks, MR MSV

    I have change this but i have still same fault code ?

  • @BradleySevenfold
    @BradleySevenfold 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just so you know this will not completely fix the issue if you have active cams or ACT like my CPTA engine you will need to replace the failed 04e906048a part, to diagnose this unplug each one, one by one and find out which one is causing you the issue by using a scan tool like OBDELEVEN, you could replace all 4 although at £60ish per part that isn’t always an option for everyone, just thought I’d add this information since I have Actuator B Cylinder 3 which has become faulty, and there isn’t much information on this type of failure yet since ACT systems are in their infancy for the most part 😊✌🏻

      Hi, not necessarily no. It is good practice to disconnect the battery, however it isn’t required tbh.

      The variable valve timing solenoid is a component of the variable valve timing system that manages the oil flow depending on the engine speed and load.The part i have replaced sorted the code for me. Im no mechanic but when i checked around the camshaft area i noticed my part was broken. It may be a different issue for your car. When you ask about the movement being visible. The valve solenoid valve goes into one of the components as you can see on the video so cant see it visibly moving due to this. Thanks.

    Hi Mate, what problems were you having before you replaced the part? Mine had the same issue but it seemed to fix itself which showed the part eventually needed changing. All of a sudden two days ago the car is running extremely rough, heavy on fuel and the idle is bad however no engine management light. Thanks

    • @mrmsv5042
      @mrmsv5042  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, mine was pretty similar. I initially got the engine management light to begin with but then it went away. This occurred for a while, the light was intermittent. However, my car did seem to run a little rougher. But for your car with what you have described it could potentially be the high pressure fuel pump which seem to be a known fault on these cars. Hope this helps.
