      Perhaps an app called Drops could help? It focuses on vocabularies for specific categories.

    Very useful. Obrigada. Pergunta, por favor: at 4.00 crab is called sapateira, at 6.12 crab is caranguejo?

    • @SimpletonPortuguese
      @SimpletonPortuguese  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Caranguejo" means crab (any crab). "Sapateira" is a specific type of large edible crab.

    Duas coisas: Pensei que a palavra para caranguejo era "caranguejo" - é que uma forma particular de caranguejo ou caranguejo é mais como uma descrição geral? Em segundo lugar, a pronúncia da letra "r" deixa-me louco. Rola-se o seu "r "s. O rolar do "r" é particular para uma determinada parte do país? Também já ouvi "r" pronunciar-se quase como uma letra inglesa, "h" ou com um som gutural quase como o hebraico. Serão todas estas pronúncias aceitáveis?

    • @SimpletonPortuguese
      @SimpletonPortuguese  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A palavra para caranguejo é caranguejo. Uma sapateira é um tipo específico de caranguejo. A wikipedia diz que em inglês se chama "edible crab" ou "brown crab". O "rolar do R" não é específico de uma região. É a forma original de pronunciar a letra e hoje é menos popular que a outra. É uma questão de preferência pessoal também. As pessoas com quem cresci falavam assim, eu falo assim e prefiro falar assim. Mas as outras pronúncias também são aceitáveis, claro.
