You gotta send two outputs from your mixer, one to your speakers/headphones, the other to some device that will send the audio to your stream. I'm not sure you can pull off good sound quality without buying another device. DJ Mixer (booth) -> speakers DJ Mixer (mains) -> USB Interface -> Laptop
This is pretty easy and to the point. I've seen a few different tutorials, but this was the most entertaining.Q1/1.5: I am having some challenges with FB Live using this same setup. When I go into FB using Chrome, I can view the stream for making comments, etc., but when I end the stream from OBS, FB Live shows me as still being online for much longer than what I was (by 2-3 mins). What is the best order to disconnect the live stream? Should I first disconnect (end the stream) from FB, TH-cam, etc. or from OBS?Q2: Are you having issues with DJ sets being taken down by TH-cam?I appreciate your help and feedback. You can always check out my setup on FB: facebook.com/RezVidalMusic. Cheers!
Twitch and TH-cam both go offline when they stop receiving data from your encoder, but in my experience with FB, you need to tell it your offline before it takes the stream down. Kind of strange, I'm sure they'll work it out eventually. In terms of copyright, I play mostly my own music, music from my friends (with permission) creative commons songs and tunes from labels like NCS and GameChops that permit use.
Excellent. This helps. I'll tell FB do disconnect first. That makes life easier. FB hasn't taken any of my sets offline, and it's helped with my engagement. There is always some interesting catch when you're trying to build a fan base as a DJ/Producer. I appreciate your help.
