Hey Dan any chance you can get me a product link or number for the replacement part you tie the cord to for the Mathews bows? My bow shop is lost when I ask them about it! Thanks Jose
I set my Hamskea up using a prussic knot. Easy to adjust in the field and I don’t have to buy any extra little parts to make it work. Cord tension stays the same.
I'm a millwright which precisely works on rotating equipment. This is the rest I just switch to from a biscuit. like someone else said, I tried a prussic knot to the string to make it easy for adjusting. Good video fellas.
My Primer developed a creak when I drew my bow so I exchanged it for the Trinity Pro and haven't looked back. Going forward I will never use another rest. If you're on the fence because of the price, it's an investment you won't regret.
I had pretty noticeable clank from trinity. Not hitting riser or anything, just the internal stopper. Bow is V3 and cord tied to the bracket. Tried setting the tension looser until the rest wasn’t even getting fully down but it moves so fast it would still clank. Ended up sticking tiny bit of rubber foam under the blade which stops the blade just before the internal stopper and it became dead silent.
I had to switch from trinity to a hybrid pro because that fancy bar that you can hammer nails in with crashes into the back of my bow hand. Hybrid fixed it right up.
That’s an issue with how you are gripping the bow. I had the same issue when I got my trinity target pro and I tinkered with my grip and it fixed the problem immediately.
rest is solid. well built and will not break easily. has color options to match your bow. easy to install. I have this on a Mathews Vertix and since this rest is on the large scale, the side touches the arrows that is placed on my two piece quiver. a washer for the quiver might fix the problem to space it out more but I've never tried. it's not a huge deal but something to think about. i still shoot it as is and it's fine.

Have used QAD, Vaportrail, and several others and I have been using Hamskea for almost two years and absolutely love it! The adjustability is second to none and like you guys say, it’s been bullet proof! Can’t recommend the Hamskea high enough!!
I went from the QAD to the Hamskea Trinity put on my V3 31. Liked it so much I put one on my Creed. What I really liked is how the rest arm is supported in 3 different locations plus I feel it is more protected. Also put the Hamskea Raptor peep on both bows really like them as well.
Love my Trinity Pro. My advice for Hamskea to improve their product: replace the screws with inox or titanium ones. The Trinity is durable and built like a tank, but the screws rust a bit after a few months.
Love my Hamskea Trinity (managed to get it on sale for $150 so was extra stoked about that.) -- also shoot a Raptor Peep and use their Mathews Cord Attachment Bracket -- makes for a super clean look and you don't have to stick anything to your limb.
Perfect timing as I'm about to buy a new bow and was looking at the hybrid... MFJJ convinced me to go with the trinity! Thanks guys for another great video!

Great rest and imo the best also. Few things I do is if there are 2 berger holes I put a stainless set screw in front berger to prevent rotation. I have found the screw in the main head mount to be short, actually had one to strip the thread. Suppose to have 1 1/2 x the screw diameter. Hamskea replaced it no problem. For the heavier arrow builds I have to increase the spring tension that controls the lift for the launcher. As far as the chord location on the limb, I start towards the end of the limb shooting through paper with a high tear usually and move chord forward til tear is gone. Great review, keep the vids coming.

I can't speak to bulletproof, but my stainless steel release slipped at full draw (60#), hit my Trinity and flew 10-15 yards behind me. It put a divots in the two moving parts on the far right of the rest, but it still adjusts flawlessly. I suspect that if it hit the support arm it would have bent it.

To be honest if you can get the hybrid pro cheaper and it's easier to find buy that one you won't notice much of difference other then looks have both and have no bnb problems with either my hybrid has way more shots through it now using it 3 years now zero problems and that bar doesn't move that holds the whale tail so to me the 3rd bearing isn't necessarily needed is it better ya but the rest is so over built to begin with you dont need to worry so save 40 bucks and put it to something else like arrows
Wow, Josh must have been drinking the same coffee as Dan was in South Dakota. What was that...Black Rifle?? Thanks for the video. I shoot a QAD right now and have had no issues but wouldn't mind checking a Hamskea out seeing that it is limb driven rather than cable. I like the fact that with the QAD I can flip the rest up to secure a nocked arrow as I move around. Does the Hamskea allow that as well (full capture)? I really dig these videos you have putting out with Josh. They are really helpful with expanding my knowledge about all things archery.
would you be willing To do a in depth review comparison between different limb driven rests like the trophy tracker, vapor trail gen 7x, and the trinity hunter pro? or why you should choose a limb driven over cable or over none mechanical rest(whisker biscuit is the only one I can think of)?
Only thing i don’t like about my hamskea rest is that its a tight fit on my ventum 30 from being bulky, its a trade off for being tough. Shoot whatever you like and familiar with
Well dam, I've been thinking about hamskea but now I'm going to have to pick one up. I know this video is mostly about the Trinity but what would you get now with the Epsilon out? I'm still running the Halon6.
I need to take a drive east and have you help put that rest on my bow hahah. Late Washington elk and deer season my rest failed to stay back a few times because it so so cold I believe.
It wasn't your rest it doesn't work good in cold wet environment it won't pick up all the way. Everybody loves gadgets but it cost me a bull elk hit low. Went back to camp shot for 30yrds hot the dirt. Wasn't the tensioner cord either.
Curious what kind of backpack you're hauling your bow in on your dirtbike riding single track? I'm planning on being on my bike as well and have been putting thought into the best bag to carry in a way where it's mounted high enough to not be hitting my seat. Many thanks for any intel
If you fell hard enough to fk up a Hybrid hunter pro launcher arm, Your bow is fked as well. A Primer rest is not on par with a Hybrid hunter pro, They look similar but that's it. The bearings used in the hybrid hunter are much bigger and beefier than the primer, The HHP also has micro tune which is mentioned but it also has the rest arm adjustability like the trinity has! I'm a Trinity user but I'll be honest I do not see how it could possibly be more bulletproof than the integrate rest in terms of mounting strength!
The part that's connected to the spring does that have a screw that holds it down or does is just freely slide on and off? I'm wondering cause that came undone when I was shooting my bow the other day and was not sure if there was a screw holds it in or not.

I can only see sight pins. I am ok on accuracy but after missing a giant buck this I tested it hard and noticed I am very inaccurate. I feel it is because I am not centering my pins correctly. But it is hard to do when I can’t see the outer ring.
On the hamskea and it's being easily adjusted as in @7:50 do you think that's just from wear and tear that moves that cord adjustment, or getting bumped and scraped? Or is it by nature of the design of the metal clip and rubber o ring that from time to time thats just what you have to do?
Waiting on a V3 to show up to install a Trinity onto it...what position do you recommend when mounting to the bow, as far forward and back? Forward flush against the riser? Thanks.
Had my hybrid hunter awhile now best rest on the market built to last and just quality only negative thing is the little football clamp to tie the string together and i don't think it's necessary to have that 3rd bearing on the outside is it nice ya better ya but necessary no hybrid hunter is built so well you won't have a problem that bar has no play in it at all plus I like how the hybrid hunter is little smaller in size I dont like that big bar going across but only negative is the little football clamp they come with they suck but it works never had major problems with that either plus you can get the upgraded system separate and upgrade the old one for cheap another thing not sure if you mentioned in the vid but this rest can be set up as a cable or limb driven rest also you can run the cable from the top limb if you want it's very versatile
You can ditch the football clamp and tie your rest cord with a Blake’s hitch. That is how I do mine on the hybrid. I personally prefer the hybrid micro over the trinity. Not only is the 3rd bearing not necessary, the bar that runs across on the trinity could actually be a point for fletching contact. The hybrid whale tale can be adjusted so it drops below level and doesn’t have that bar in the way if you need to do so. Plus the hybrid is already overbuilt IMO.
@@xMotoMan450Fx exactly it is over built so the 3rd bearing isn't needed it's already over built and completely agree about the bar going across they are better off implementing a micro adjust with distinct clicks like another comment said or a intergrate system like the qad I like the hybrid hunter more it is a more sleek design and I thought about doing that knot also just never had a major problem with it to really make me want to do it so just left it alone
I have a Hamskea trinity and each time i shoot it starts making a clicking noise when I draw. I am constantly tightening the cord that’s attached the limb and it helps for a few shots then starts clicking again. Any pointers ?
I’ve been eyeing a target version with the flat blade. Problem is, they cost too much for me. I’m gonna have to go with a manual adjust launcher for about $50. Another one I was looking at for my target bow was a Trophy Taker that had click adjust For windage and elevation where each click was equal to .001”. It was cheaper than the Hamskea, but I still cannot afford it. Everything is through the roof on prices. This year will be tough for all archery shops and golf ships and everyone else. They want a fortune for something that does not shoot any more X’s than bows and equipment from 30 years ago. You guys are hunters and can’t have your equipment fail, but where to regular guys get their money for these super expensive gadgets?
Great rest UNLESS you shoot micro diameter arrows! If you're not careful, the arrow can ride in between the 'cage and the launcher'. .....from experience. Run them on target bows and love the trinity.
Is that attachment piece for the limbs only for Mathew’s style limbs and bows? I currently have the limbsaver rubber piece and knot attachment going on, on my Rx-1
I believe they make them for all bows also but the one you screw into the limb is only for Mathews I believe but on there website they have different options like where it's 2 plates that sandwich onto the limb to clamp it for sale
@@mustang268 thanks, do you think this contributed to a lot of wear on the d loop material? Thats why ive always went away from the clamps that come with some limb driven rests
So after watching this unfortunately my pro shop sold me the hunter version. ? I have 6 inch brace expedition and use elk shape vanes. The vanes rest on rest in sitting position. Is that just the case with a 6 inch brace height? I have rest moved up as far as I can.
ihave the same "problem" but after slowly letting the bow down i saw that the fletching wont contact the launcher arm when firing due to the launcher arm being fully depressed 90% through the shot.
Beware I've hunted in the rain for 5 days and I swear to you that rest would not lift completely. If you Google it there were other instances. I thought maybe cord stretch so I tensioned the cord again, but it was actually the bearings got corroded from water wasn't smooth. I called hamskea and the kid at the time offered to regrease and fix but it cost me a low hit on a bull I will say it was steady rain for about a week. I went back to trophy taker just plain simple smackdown pro. Hamskea is nice but this is the northwest we have a lot of rain and wet stuff. So I keep it simple.
Trophy Taker are crap my Lock up blew up on me less then 50 shots and actually when drawing the bow the launcher arm goes in reverse now, their quality has gone to hell the past couple years. How’s the Hamskea for spot and stalk? 90% of my hunting is spot and stalk for hogs in the swamps here in coastal SC. I’m looking at the Trinity and the Vaportrail Gen7X for my Xpedition MX16.

Trinity hunter pro is where it’s at!
Another one I was looking at for my target bow was a Trophy Taker that had click adjust
For windage and elevation where each click was equal to .001”.
Josh is fired up 😂
Versa full containment, or trinity hunter pro?
Great rest UNLESS you shoot micro diameter arrows! If you're not careful, the arrow can ride in between the 'cage and the launcher'. .....from experience. Run them on target bows and love the trinity.
Does it give your arrow a full containment option?
This is better than a QAD Ultra?
Is that attachment piece for the limbs only for Mathew’s style limbs and bows? I currently have the limbsaver rubber piece and knot attachment going on, on my Rx-1
I believe they make them for all bows also but the one you screw into the limb is only for Mathews I believe but on there website they have different options like where it's 2 plates that sandwich onto the limb to clamp it for sale
@@mustang268 thanks, do you think this contributed to a lot of wear on the d loop material? Thats why ive always went away from the clamps that come with some limb driven rests
@@Orr_s no I've had no problems
I’ve still got a TRIAX and want to upgrade from the QAD to the Trinity any fitment issues I should be looking for
No

Thanks
Do you guys use the felt on the blade or just run it bare plastic?
That plastic is there so you dont need felt it's amazing but you can use felt if you want but it's not needed
They are great
Beware I've hunted in the rain for 5 days and I swear to you that rest would not lift completely.
Looks like I'm buying a Trinity Hunter Pro
can some one tell me the name and artist of the song in the intro "...if there's a will there's a way...."
Name of the song in your intro?
Trophy Taker are crap my Lock up blew up on me less then 50 shots and actually when drawing the bow the launcher arm goes in reverse now, their quality has gone to hell the past couple years. How’s the Hamskea for spot and stalk? 90% of my hunting is spot and stalk for hogs in the swamps here in coastal SC. I’m looking at the Trinity and the Vaportrail Gen7X for my Xpedition MX16.
Did you end up going with the trinity? I’m thinking on getting it as well with spot and stalk being incorporated in my hunting as well.
@@miguelcooper10 I ended up going back to QAD as my hand to grip On my Darton causes the bottom of limb driven rests to rub horribly on my hand. I have a few friends that do use the Trinity and LOVE LOVE it!
@@BowHunter74 I got the trinity a few weeks ago and it’s pretty nice👍🏽. My groupings are so much better with the trinity than with the whisker biscuit.
@@miguelcooper10 That’s awesome!!! Glad you are enjoying it!!
