  • Always keep you a 12v, 18v or 20v charged power tool with you. Preferably a impact, tire inflator, or light. The battery will be useful in several ways including jump starting your car, truck, rv. This hack has saved me tons of money and time.

Why it matters: the White is actually slightly larger in diameter which reduces resistance on the return leg for 220-240 amp (black and red) service. You can measure it with digital calipers. So try not to flip them.

@@Floridamancan romex remains house wire regardless of where you use it. If the hot is bigger than the common return (which it is, if you use the White romex as your hot) then you can have a potential issue if you stripped it from three wire romex. There is a physically larger diameter in the white house wire.
The larger diameter of the common line reduces resistance, and increases the emf field, which is why your welder will show bands in iron dust.

To answer the question. Any vehicle with such a sensitive instrument would also be fused and will have a VCM to make sure no such thing can happen if it would. Like states several times. Under load the voltage at the battery pack is 15v at most. A 12v system is designed to operate safely between 11.5-18v on average. And any instrument requiring less will have a step down and fuse in place. Stop worrying about nada
