@@VampyreX13 Absolutely, I'm also a fan of Vibrant's products so it seems like a good choice. I appreciate your before and after decibel comparison. I think it will give me just what I want without quieting it down too much.
This should help as long as you get the Ultra Quiet version I have linked in the video description and install is as far forward in the exhaust as possible.
Sounds great. I am wondering if you had an opinion on how this resonator would compare to a stock resonator. I have a 2021 Elantra that I replaced my stock muffler with a Magnaflow universal. It sounds way better very deep with no drone, but I am wondering if replacing my stock resonator with a vibrant ultra quiet would deepen the tone even more and possibly add a few pops.
I just ordered one of these, the rasp/drone is UNBEARABLE on my Type R since I got a catted downpipe and drop in turbo... hopefully this helps me get a better sound.
My 2013 Scion TC Release 8.0 is in need of a muffler. That year release has the TRD center exhaust exit muffler and am thinking about going the Vibrant 17930 or 1793 Resonator in place of the stock TRD muffler. My old SRT4 Neon had no muffler, just a resonator and the sound was not too bad, I actually liked it. What are your thoughts on this?
I haven't heard the bottle style one, but the one I used is supposed to be better at dampening the exhaust note. I really like the deeper, yet slightly quieter sound it produced in conjunction with my Greddy RS canister muffler.
I ordered the polished stainless steel one aka bottle neck version, I just wasn't sure if this one would make it too quiet, I have a flowmaster delta race muffler in my mid with muffler delete so it basically sounds straight piped, hopefully this resonator will help
Okay man so I have a muffler delete on my car and I love it and it’s not too loud but sometimes it’s a little rapsy. Would you suggest this on mine to quiet down the sound
@@VampyreX13 I’m gonna do it 💯 thanks for letting me know. I have a fusion 2011 fusion se. I have a muffler delete with a pipe, and it sounds good but I want that clean sound. My resonator is still on my car but I wanna add a vibrant resonator
I don't have any experience with the other models, but you could try the normal Vibrant bottle resonator from amzn.to/3ymmR01. Looking at meganracing.com/exhaust/exhaust-systems/cat-back/mr-cbs-stc11-ds-ss, it looks like it should fit just before the existing resonator on the mid-pipe, but you'll need to measure and confirm. It should help with the rasp without lowering the volume like the Ultra Quiet one does, but I don't know to what extent.
Hey man. My civic 8th is on a full exhaust system. It's loud but its okay -- on the outside. But inside the cabin, the drone is insanely loud it literally hurts my ears. I was recommended to place another resonator (a total of two resonators would be installed then). My concern is, by having 2 resonators would it affect the setup of my full exhaust? Would it be significantly quieter? And Most importantly, would it guarantee to reduce (or eliminate) the drone? If this helps, My current resonator is 22" unbranded/fabricated. I'm not yet sure what size would be placed for the second resonator though
If you go to the 01:24 mark, you'll see that I have have two installed. The Vibrant resonator is sitting in front of the large resonator that my Greddy RS catback comes with. You should get reduced drone by adding it in. I would try to install the longest one you can if your drone is bad.
@@VampyreX13 i can't seem to find a vibrant made resonator in my town. Probably need to import one. Also, its very common here to have full exhaust done by the shop itself/mostly fabricated so I'd probably have the 2nd resonator from them as well. Neither way I will follow your advice and choose the longest and will hope the drone would be reduced - wouldn't mind if the overall sound would be a little quieter as well though. Appreciate the response! P.S. you a Filipino?
Not sure without hearing your setup, but resonators are meant to tune the exhaust note whereas mufflers make them more quite. It might make it a little quieter, but not as drastic as a muffler would.
I don't remember. I had this done a while ago. It's definitely going to be a few hundred though since they'll have to take the exhaust off, cut it, tack weld it, reinstall and test fit, remove and weld, then reinstall again. I would call local shops and ask around. First thing to ask is if they can weld stainless steel, then go from there.
I don't know as I haven't heard a setup without the muffler, but I would assume it would sound loud. If you plan that route, it would probably be better to install two Vibrant Ultra Quiets in place of the stock resonator.
@@VampyreX13 my goal is to be loud without the rasp. I recently did a resonator delete and i have a flowmaster fx where the stock muffler is and that was a mistake. Super raspy
I did the same on my 2007 that 1141 really deepens the tone and reduces drone I love it.
I love the sound it gave my TC. I was impatient so I bought a welder and did it myself.
I wonder what it would sound like on my first generation Xb.
Well done comparison. I'm considering using this resonator to quiet down my Z06 a little. I'm currently straight piped, so it's pretty raw, lol.
It's a great resonator. I've seen so many good reviews on it in general.

I just had all my silencers removed and had a small muffler fitted at the back and its wayy too loud might have to get myself one of these

@VampyreX13 I will get that one but ive asked if the place that installed my exaust can make me one first but if that's too much I'll get one of those
just the comparison I was looking for, thanks! Just installed one on my 7M-GTE so I can ditch the silencer
Been wanting to drop the stock muffler on my mr2 for something that would give it some noise but not be to over the top, just the convincing i needed
Just make sure you install the resonator towards the front of your exhaust system to maximize its efficiency.

I have no idea, but it may work better than the stock one. I haven't seen anyone who replaced an OEM one, only added it to an existing pipe.
I'm thinking of adding one to my 11 tacoma 4.0 v6, just installed a MBRP cat back system and it could use some taming.
Just make sure to have it as far forward in the exhaust pipe as possible to maximize its efficiency.
Thanks!
