Great to see Jamie chilled and loving life ☺ I love watching the show. My friends, who don't skate, can't understand why at 43 I just can't stop skating despite having many injuries. I tend to skate alone because of my mental health so it's great to chill out with like minded people who understand me and me them. Thank you Nine Club 😊❤
I'm 42 and overweight and love skating. Clearly my trick selection has changed with age and weight but I'm still obsessed with skating. my old friends get me, I think, but people I work with are clueless.
@@beemaster666 I hear you man on people not relating. I stopped caring what others think a long time ago, so that helps out. I just feel more comfortable and natural in a sideways stance on a board of some sort (skate, snow, surf) than I do walking. My body (legs mainly) have developed somewhat asymmetrically, such as more massive calf muscle on my left (goofyfoot), but whatevs
When I lived in the city or Long Beach I just skated everywhere I went locally. When i had my kids and moved out to the 'burbs it became harder to find time because i had to find a place and time to actually skate.
He's always been my favorite skater. The brand Zero caught my attention from the jump, and finding he owned it and seeing him try the Leap of Faith. Also I always respected him for being openly Christian.
I was today years old when I learned that one of my favorite skaters is friends with one of my favorite snowboarders. In 2020 that’s the wholesome information I didn’t know I needed.
R.I.P Keith, you were my inspiration for a lot growing up being 30 and still skating every week. The words Rest In Piece are such strong words not being a religious person really I hope that you are at piece.
I’ve sat through both of the interviews and I accept all responsibility.lol hope he comes back on, great to hear his perspective on things now. An inspiring amount of mental growth. Salute
I love the nine club guys! All my friends moved away and it’s been kinda weird. just been kicking it by myself, so it’s cool to hear some conversation about skating and some laughs. Keep killing it guys - the show is always awesome
Only 20 minutes in and already a great interview. Can’t overstate how important Jamie Thomas is for skateboarding. And man what a year for Zero. Dane Burman just put out an amazing part and Chris Cole’s new board just came out and I’ve already seen it at the skatepark.
Gotta love the chief!! And speaking of Zero, Dane Burman's part was fucking wild!!! can't wait for you guys to review it on nine club exp! R.I.P. Keith
Jamie was always near the top of my list of favorite skaters when was a kid, before I really knew anything about him. Hearing his interviews I’m like...man, my instincts were right. Cool guy.
Wow!! Incredible to see and hear Jamie’s growth. Especially when you have heard all the old stories of him being so militant. Super cool. Also really dope Kelly has the same Metropolitan shirt on that HUF had on for his Nine Club. RIP HUF
Grew up skating with this homie back in Dothan and glad he's turned things around and is seeing a new perspective and the bigger picture. JT stands for trouble, Livin' Large....I remember it all. Glad you gave Adam a shoutout in the last interview...humble.
Always a pleasure to hear Jamie speak. I'm the same way with my son and him skating or riding a bike. I wear my helmet to set an example but when I'm skating alone or with my friends I don't wear it unless imnskating something on the bigger side.
JT has always been my favorite skater. Always thought he was the best since misled youth. I loved him even more when i found out his birthday was the same as my mother just diff year.
Let’s get Jeremy Jones on the Nine Club. He pioneered a street skating approach to snowboarding. Check out some of his snowboarding parts and his 411 snowboarding part.
Jamie is my all-time favorite skater. I got a Zero tattoo as my first tattoo and still am proud of it even though I'm old and don't skate anymore lol. I love the person that Jamie has become too, great role model
Mine was the American flag logo. Not the punked out one, but the original font. Had like 15 Zero decks over the years. Favorite graphic was the Adrian Lopez DOA with the skeleton pointing a revolver. Always wished I could have gotten the Alex "Trainwreck" Gall Headless Horseman deck.
..this dude was a huge impact on my aesthetic as a kid and my skateboarding style. I was born in 1992 and didnt fit into the other skater kids my age who were obsessed with vert in the late 90s. I grew up with big chunky asphalt in montana so the zero team and shorties meant the most to me as a kid. I also developed my gamer tag as a kid off the concave i used as a kid which was the shallowgrave. I still use a shallow concave today because i can flick my tricks better with that formula.
Great episode once again! With a bonus 5 second Jeremy Jones appearance! Kelly said he saw him in 411’s but if you don’t know about him go watch his the resistance and true life parts, one gnarly ass human!
If it's possible, I would love to see Henry Rollins on here. He would be a guest similar to Lil Wayne in that he was definitely into skateboarding but that was not the centrepoint of his career. Dude is an amazing person with a tonne of interesting stories.
I'll super stoked if he talking about the Independent Truck Ads back in around late 80's - early 90's. The First Icon in Skateboarding Ads that's not even a pro or am but ripping with skateboard, imagine that.
Really great to see Jamie authentically happy. It seems like he’s put in a bunch of time to exorcise those inner demons. Kudos to you Jamie. Salto Mortale! ;)
Was the ender in Dane’s part the rail that Geoff has been talking about near Staples? Think I remember him saying something about it going into a hubba like that on either one of his appearances and I definitely remember him saying he told Dane about it. It was fucking GNARLY.
Would be so sick to see that alternate Jamie Thomas part with angles, unused footage etc. I dreamed of doing something like this with those unedited log tapes that were on 'Dying To Live' and 'New Blood'

The whole time I was eating I was wondering if he thought I was a poser for not acknowledging who he was. I was like 12-13 years old, it was a huge deal to me for the rest of the day lol.
It depends on the setup but I mostly go w/ 1" philips b/c I use 1/8" shock pads and i have an easier time finding a philips head screwdriver in a pinch that'll do the trick than the right size alan key. I would have loved to hear Jamie respond to the criticism that he got in the latest thrasher in an interview with Cher saying that "zero failed Marisa Del Santo". I would love to hear his perspective of what happened.
I remember in 1st or 2nd grade I wore a classic zero logo shirt with the skull dripping blood. Teacher made me flip it inside out all day and I was so bummed. I felt like a bad ass wearing it.
That is a bit harsh for a Zero logo. Man I grew up in the 80's and 90's we wore Slayer and Iron Maiden shirts (still do) but it was hit or miss if we got in trouble. I once had to turn a shirt I side out. Ironically it was Stryper To Hell with the Devil. Like that was offense!!
