Reading the Steam reviews for this sh*t makes me realize why the games are getting worse every year. People has some damn LOW standards this days.... "It has bugs but...the .exe works, I guess...RECOMMENDED"
Yeah, I saw people defend the game on SkillUp's review too, like "it's not perfect but it's fun to play". Sometimes I wonder if people actually get a version of the games we don't...
Same kind of a deal is going on the Xbox too. People that are defending this game over here said that the game should get off the Xbox Game Pass simply because they believed that the people who were complaining about the game are a bunch of “kids,” “cod players” or a bunch of noobs or review bombers or something like that. But honestly if this wasn’t on the Game Pass so much people’s money could’ve gone wasted and there wouldn’t be any ACTUAL criticism on the game’s reviews. Speaking of which, the game is so bad that it even caused this game on Xbox to have over 2000 different reviews on it as well, while sitting at 2.5 Stars as I’m typing this, containing with two distinct arguments about the game (in which you can just imagine what it is).
@@CaptainWeegi I think the Xbox App is so horrible (sadly) that alot of games get negative reviews because the downloader is broken or so. Halo MCC has 3.1 Stars btw.
@@ZunaZurugi Yeah, sadly that is also pretty true... I have seen obvious reasons why people would call them Review Bombers or something similar and I can't blame them for it. I cannot express how excited I am for 2. I wasn't expecting much from this game. But I have fond memories of both the old Dark Alliance games on the Xbox and PS2, and I love me some Companions of the Hall. To see just how BAD this game is breaks my heart. I'm sorry you had to go through this Joe.
They did R.A. Salvatore dirty with this game I have all the books featuring these characters abd I was excited to play the game, but I was disappointed, game kept lagging, terrible loot, enemies were just completely useless, no checkpoints except for the camps which is stupid because it basically gives you the choice of get "better" gear or get a checkpoint so your not sent back to the start of the mission. The fact that they made a terrible game and used such iconic characters for the game is just another slap in the face.
You can do that with turn based games too. As a matter of fact the best strategy to play turn based games (on pc at least) is to just CC the enemy before they can hit you in the first place.
The more I see games like this and Cyberpunk, the more I'm convinced we are living in an era where we, the players, the customers, are the new alpha/beta testers of the games, except we even pay them (full price) to be, not the other way around
Have you thought of back in the day when video games were first being made like pong and all these other games, The only people who really knew how to create these where are the nerds. Now it seems like businessman have come in and infiltrated art and are seeking money instead of putting passion into their work.
Two problems: the astronomical costs of creating modern games, and that games can be easily patched after release. So studios feel immense pressure to launch their game as soon as it's technically playable to start generating income (pay their employees and funders), and that launch isn't terribly important because they can always keep working on the game and patch it later. All games are broken pieces of shit for most of their time in development, but the state at launch is becoming less and less important these days - unless the audience keeps it angry over stuff like this. This looks like it needed another 6 months in the oven, but they probably completely ran out of money. Covid probably disrupted the studio, too (if the game started development in 2019, it's spent basically its entire lifecycle in a work from home situation, which isn't going to be great at all).
@@inf3243 I understand but It's still depressing how "expandable" at a certain point the launch of a game is nowadays, even so, there has been many highly anticipated games that were in development long before the pandemic and this issue still persisted, let's not blame covid ENTIRELY for all this, fortunately there's still some companies/game studios that actually give a damn about the launch of their games, like Fromsoftware or Santa Mónica for example, first impressions are very important IMO
The AI isn't the same, the bosses don't die in a few hits and the animations don't lock you in place, Avengers was a trash game don't get me wrong but don't spout complete nonsense to seem relevant especially as a review channel man

@@XxWolfxWaRioRxX Marvel's Avengers have similar problems And I'm pretty sure people were 2-3 shottin bosses to death (even being able to throw them off the roof which kills them immediate lay) before they nerfed the damage and builds MULTIPLE times. BF2042 has now taken the crown and sits upon the throne of "Worst Game of 2021". Still, Dark Alliance still remains the *worst* D&D IP I have ever played.
Yeah, they really should have made this a single player game with meh AI party members. Actually... What if it WAS a single player game and somebody on the dev team decided to make it multiplayer at the last minute? That might explain the abysmal connectivity and communication issues.

Same people who preach vote with your wallets lol

Hi dad
The more I see games like this and Cyberpunk, the more I'm convinced we are living in an era where we, the players, the customers, are the new alpha/beta testers of the games, except we even pay them (full price) to be, not the other way around
Have you thought of back in the day when video games were first being made like pong and all these other games, The only people who really knew how to create these where are the nerds. Now it seems like businessman have come in and infiltrated art and are seeking money instead of putting passion into their work.
Which is why my interest in modern games has absolutely plummeted
I couldn't imagine this being a business model of so many companies if it wasn't very profitable.
