I honestly don’t understand why so many people hating on the movie when transformers from the beginning wasn’t even that serious like they say it was. Like I get it if you like certain interpretations but that’s the best part about the franchise it can go in really any direction and can work most of the time .
It’s probably because they want everything to appeal to them, they should know that there are other demographics out there and it is always common that studios use their IPs to appeal to younger demographics to have them sorta of invested into that new IP, they can’t just have the same old people, they need new fans
I think going from action pack cool movies, to what feels like a kiddy movie is what is bothering people. Personally I'm very excited for the movie but I do understand where people are coming from
They only think that transformers originated from the bayverse, its like thinking Evil Superman is a great subversion to superheroes or thinking Minecraft 3am videos are real The late 2000s and early 2010s also changed everyones perception of media, they follow this "if it's light-hearted and has comedy its bad and if its dark and gritty its good" that is, until the MCU broke the mold and then people have accepted both sides, but with a franchise like transformers that has been ignored and ridiculed for years, it's no surprise there will be haters, who knows the movie can end up like Cyberverse when it was hated at first then it became praised over time
The lighthearted nature of the movie is something I appreciate especially for a pre war story taking place on Cybertron. And considering we see D-16 turn into Megatron, I bet the tone will become more serious as the movie goes on
One thing that really pisses me off about all the hate already is people are now wanting transformers to take themselves seriously and stop being comedic, when 50% of G1 was comedic as hell, it had its serious moments but it had MANY moments that made me crack up laughing. Nobody in the fandom can be 100% okay with anything anymore and it’s getting annoying, the fan base is constantly split between “it’s cool to hate something new” and “we want to hold out hope for our favorite franchise” nobody can get along for anything and it’s gonna end up killing the community.
That's how most communities end up nowadays. They went from being okay with certain things, to now where half of the community can't get along with the other. It's getting really fucking irritating.

It was cool, not the best trailer tbh because some scenes were edited in a weird way but honestly it's not surprising, the second trailers are always better at least with the Transformers movies so that will probably win over some of the people that was put off by this one.

I actually love the direction theyre going, looks more lore accurate and feels modern and yet has that G1/Transformers Animated Silliness that I love 😭🙏, PLUS NO HUMANS 😮💨

We should really appreciate your this a lot more, it’s the first theatrical released TF movie since the 86 movie and this is the 40th anniversary of the Transformers and I believe that they really put some love and heart into this since this year is supposed to be really special for all TF fans

One of my theory’s for the film is that when D-16 see megatronous/the Fallens grave he will change his name to megatronous and I doubt he’s gonna fight Optimus for this film I think it will be in the sequel since this is a prequel trilogy

Actually in the comics Megatron WAS a gladiator, but he fought against the other miners, as sort of an underground fight club (correct me if i'm wrong), and thats the gladiator aspect of it. Also, a I thought a really cool theory was that the Nemesis IS the ship that the Quinetssons use, but maybe like a Dead Husk of it, which could be really sick
I got 2 theory’s for the film, One: D-16 will look at megatronous’s face and the same thing that happened to megatron when he met the fallen but more painful Two: Starscream will fight megatron and have the upper hand and then out of nowhere D-16 will get his imfimous arm cannon and ball and chain and will the fight
I really wish TFO is a beginning of a trilogy. TFO focuses on how the oppressive cybertronian government is brought down and how Orion Pax became a prime, and during the end of the movie, Megatron's plans are revealed. The Second Movie focuses on how the war started and the How Optimus and Megatron's friendship fell apart. The third and last movie is about the Autobot's last stand on Cybertron and their eventual journey out of Cybertron and their journey to Earth.

I choose to have faith in the movie. We know from Cinemacon that there are serious moments. But I think a lighter tone is necessary for most of this movie. The characters are younger. And this is before the war. If the tone of this movie was dark, then the transition to war wouldn't be a transition. I think Hasbro's strategy was to not spoil the ending, therefore cutting all darker tones out of the trailer. (We never see a single scene of Orion and D-16 against each other, so I believe Hasbro is leaving that out on purpose, therefore also accidentally taking out any darker tones) I hope that the reason trailer is purely lighthearted is so that we fall in love with all the characters before they split. Two hours is not a lot of time to introduce us to several characters, get us to like them, flesh out their bonds, and then make the split emotionally devastating to the audience. I think Hasbro is using the trailer to do a large portion of this. They want the ending to be as hard hitting as possible, I think. And by having audiences expect a lighter movie before hand, the twist will do more damage. But we really don't know. Even if the movie isn't fantastic, it will probably be better than most of what we've been given in the past. Vote with your money. Show Hasbro we want unique, story driven movies. Not action packed slop. And if the movie isn't for you, that's okay. We still have both IDW runs.
As a long-time Transformers fan, I'm really excited for Transformers One. The animation looks beautiful, the character designs look solid, the voice acting is pretty good, and the Easter eggs are spot-on. Also, the Transformers franchise has always been comedic since the G1 cartoon, so they shouldn't even complain about the movie's tone in the first place.

I think Optimus was not a privileged character in the alligned continuity (and the only universe he was privileged was the Bayverse movies) In 80's cartoon Orion Pax was a dock worker. In Prime, and the aligned continuity he was a 'lowly data clerk' basically a simple white collar worker who worked in the archives.
Fire if you can't sleep, I think you should take a break every other week. That way you get good sleep and time to do other stuff, and when you do make a news video, you can put more news in it.
I’m excited to see this move when it gets releases in the movie theaters. At least we’re getting a transformer movie that doesn’t involves humans in it.
I think the reason Megatron has a deception mark is because he is related to the fallen, and the autobots hate the fallen, so they him wear the deception mark as a form of punishment. Essentially a reminder he’s a con and the reason no one likes him. That would make megatron leaving the autobots and making the deceptions make more sense
This trailer is supprisingly good and its getting me hyped for more conrent the designs will need some time to get use to but the overall animation is great i like the fact that this film will make maintstream audiences learn about tf lore it seems as if starscream will be the temporay leader of the decepticons since we see him walking from this throne the comedy is not that bad but hopefully we will have seens with are serious im just glad were getting this before the g i joe x transformers film bees stingers also remind me of the stinger he had in cyberverse there is many easter eggs and callbacks here and there hopefully you can finally get some sleep fire great vid

ngl i think the scene where megatron forge the decepticon insignia doesnt it feel like when in TFA mixs and scrapper joins the decepticon megatron holds two forge-like decepticon insignia and place it on their chest its that how they are going to insert the decepticon insignia into them like they do in TFA
I had almost thought the lion mode jumping out towards the screen was ravage sneak attacking the Autobots because I didn't see the electricity coming off his horn and tail which I hope they show him piercing a vehicon with the electric horn.
I think D-16's lines in the trailer, give us reason why he takes such an extreme step in the future He states to Orion Pax that the surface of Cybertron is toxic and they cannot survive there, only to find out it was all a lie designed to make sure the Elites remain in power. This would have a huge psychological impact on him and he develops outright hatred towards the Ruling Elite of Cybertron. He would kickstart a worker rebellion and as a punishment would be sent to the Gladiator pits, there Megatron would prove himself in the arena and some Cybrtronians will become his ideological supporters.
Another thing that just came to my mind is that, this movie could take the route of the War for and Fall of Cybertron route and ends where they are about to leave the planet, so the ending would be open to interpretation and as you said will loosely tie in to all the movies
That Quintesson guy we see in the trailer could be a quintesson like the one thatgets crushed by Slag in the 86 movie. And the Quintesson Judge's with the he 5 faces will show up later.
Me personally. Bumblebee was hilarious in the trailer and I'm excited for his performance. I'm so happy ther will be comedy in this movie. I really hope they have the comedy sprinkled throughout with very mature themes throughout the movie, especially when D-16 betrays Orion.
Personally I understand the criticism this movie gets but I'm really excited and I actually like all the voices I think Kegan Michael Kee could try to sound a bit more like Bumblebee but the voice he's doing fits the whole jokester comic relief thing they're going for so I'm cool with it and although D16 doesn't sound too similar to Megatron his voice gives me the vibe of someone who is mostly chill but might also be a little high strung and emotional which is how I imagine a young Megatron would act like. I had no complaints with Orion and Elita they sound good. Also I personally like the animation.
The trailer was excellent! The characters look and sound amazing(Disagree on D-16's voice, he sounds likeable and the actor is top-notch so he'll definitely surprise you later on, and the "human" faces critique doesn't hold up. We literally had that since G1 and these are objectively better than that or any previous ones), the animation is gorgeous(Expressive and cartoony models with realistic lighting and detailing is peak art for me, IlM cooked!), the story and tone is welcomed since we already have a dark tone with Skybound and a in-between tone with ROTB, besides, it'll definitely go more serious later on like the director stated. Overall, this movie looks to be the best so far, and by reactions from general audiences and long-time fans like Comodin Can, Emperor Kumquat, Alfonso Nation, Foxitron Prime, and multiple artists and illustrators on social media, we have a major success on our hands!
What if, what if.... Frank Welker voices Megatron later in the movie. I mean since Peter is going to voice Optimus in the movie, it's not too far fetched the same thing would happen with Megatron. If so that would be so bad ass. And I agree with you that the voice actor of D-16 isn't my fav. But I'm excited for this movie none the less. I also can't wait to hear Steve Buscemi as Starscream!
I think that this movie connects to the live action movies in the same way that Alfred is in 1989 Batman and The Dark Knight... they don't connect outside of background references world building.

The art style could be a little bit more refined make it look a little bit more real, but it's amazing

I think the Quintessons control the Cybertronian government like in G1. Which is why Sentinel Prime is treated like an underling.

I really like it and I also like the direction it is going I can't wait for it to come to the theaters this year
I think the reason Megatron has a deception mark is because he is related to the fallen, and the autobots hate the fallen, so they him wear the deception mark as a form of punishment. Essentially a reminder he’s a con and the reason no one likes him. That would make megatron leaving the autobots and making the deceptions make more sense

This trailer is supprisingly good and its getting me hyped for more conrent the designs will need some time to get use to but the overall animation is great i like the fact that this film will make maintstream audiences learn about tf lore it seems as if starscream will be the temporay leader of the decepticons since we see him walking from this throne the comedy is not that bad but hopefully we will have seens with are serious im just glad were getting this before the g i joe x transformers film bees stingers also remind me of the stinger he had in cyberverse there is many easter eggs and callbacks here and there hopefully you can finally get some sleep fire great vid

This movie was conceived in 2015 as a prequel. It was later cancelled with the writers room in 2019 and later restarted as this standalone film
ngl i think the scene where megatron forge the decepticon insignia doesnt it feel like when in TFA mixs and scrapper joins the decepticon megatron holds two forge-like decepticon insignia and place it on their chest

I had almost thought the lion mode jumping out towards the screen was ravage sneak attacking the Autobots because I didn't see the electricity coming off his horn and tail which I hope they show him piercing a vehicon with the electric horn.

I think D-16's lines in the trailer, give us reason why he takes such an extreme step in the future He states to Orion Pax that the surface of Cybertron is toxic and they cannot survive there, only to find out it was all a lie designed to make sure the Elites remain in power. This would have a huge psychological impact on him and he develops outright hatred towards the Ruling Elite of Cybertron. He would kickstart a worker rebellion and as a punishment would be sent to the Gladiator pits, there Megatron would prove himself in the arena and some Cybrtronians will become his ideological supporters.

Another thing that just came to my mind is that, this movie could take the route of the War for and Fall of Cybertron route and ends where they are about to leave the planet, so the ending would be open to interpretation and as you said will loosely tie in to all the movies

The character with the tentacles is a quintesson executioner. He was shown in 1986 tf movie.
Me personally. Bumblebee was hilarious in the trailer and I'm excited for his performance. I'm so happy ther will be comedy in this movie. I really hope they have the comedy sprinkled throughout with very mature themes throughout the movie, especially when D-16 betrays Orion.

Personally I understand the criticism this movie gets but I'm really excited and I actually like all the voices I think Kegan Michael Kee could try to sound a bit more like Bumblebee but the voice he's doing fits the whole jokester comic relief thing they're going for so I'm cool with it and although D16 doesn't sound too similar to Megatron his voice gives me the vibe of someone who is mostly chill but might also be a little high strung and emotional which is how I imagine a young Megatron would act like. I had no complaints with Orion and Elita they sound good. Also I personally like the animation.
The trailer was excellent! The characters look and sound amazing(Disagree on D-16's voice, he sounds likeable and the actor is top-notch so he'll definitely surprise you later on, and the "human" faces critique doesn't hold up. We literally had that since G1 and these are objectively better than that or any previous ones), the animation is gorgeous(Expressive and cartoony models with realistic lighting and detailing is peak art for me, IlM cooked!), the story and tone is welcomed since we already have a dark tone with Skybound and a in-between tone with ROTB, besides, it'll definitely go more serious later on like the director stated.
Overall, this movie looks to be the best so far, and by reactions from general audiences and long-time fans like Comodin Can, Emperor Kumquat, Alfonso Nation, Foxitron Prime, and multiple artists and illustrators on social media, we have a major success on our hands!

What if, what if.... Frank Welker voices Megatron later in the movie. I mean since Peter is going to voice Optimus in the movie, it's not too far fetched the same thing would happen with Megatron. If so that would be so bad ass. And I agree with you that the voice actor of D-16 isn't my fav. But I'm excited for this movie none the less. I also can't wait to hear Steve Buscemi as Starscream!
I think that this movie connects to the live action movies in the same way that Alfred is in 1989 Batman and The Dark Knight... they don't connect outside of background references world building.
