I love how this song is very much a fusion between east and west, it's very japanese but also it gives off a slight medieval european feeling in a strange way.

This series never fails to amaze my ears. The epic Anime Op, This amazing Op for the Visual Novel, the Opening for Chiru, many of the songs played in the game, I loved a lot of Higurashi's songs but Umineko's music takes the cake!

@@gigapeut8810 This is the original opening for the VN and Question Arcs. Later on Umineko got a new PS3 version with voice acting and other stuff and they added a new opening. There's also openings for the answer arcs.

Does someone know what VN version has this exact opening? Ther are a bunch of openings and this one has a very similar version in which they change some of the lyrics and the music, and it is not so good as this one.
EDIT: Ok, nevermind, I've discovered that this version is the ALBUM version, which does not appear in any visual novel as far as I know, the Visual Novel opening always has its own version with the italian lyrics and the melody slightly changed.
I tink you are talking about the Rengoku version, i actually like it more tbh, it's all in Italian and is way more intense, which kinda fits
But well, maybe it's nostalgia talking, i read the manga and while i did that, i downloaded the Rengoku version and listen to it pretty often in that time, my reaction to listening again AFTER finishing the series looking up the lyrics was priceless, it was that moment i understud for the second time that Ryukishi was a genius.

No, así es el original. De hecho, en el disco original esta es la pista 2. La 1 que apenas dura minuto y medio, es la apertura a este tema, que anuncia la llegada de Beatriz. Recomiendo mucho escuchar todo el disco de Akiko Shikata porque es un orgasmo auditivo

It's kind of sad. Half the song is just lies - "Beatrice, oh cruel witch who slept for a millenium" - literally not one word of that sentence is true or accurate, except *maybe*, arguably, Beatrice. Maybe.
The other half is a story about someone desperately trying to ... to fix something, or maybe to find something, with their eyes shut and even the whole world shut off, and someone who loves them desperately but whose hands and voices just can't reach....
