    Could someone pay themselves through their limited company via both PAYE and dividends, not just one or the other?

      Yes. That is normally done for tax efficiency. The CMS on the amount is still payable, at the same amount. But less tax is paid.

    How will CMS know how much am paying my self salary dividends etc ?

      They obtain the information from HMRC. However if there is a suspicion that you are not declaring, they may investigate.

      Take a look at the CMS calculator it will give you a guide. Your income does not affectt the CMs calculation. As a high earner he is likely to have quite large pension contributions, so his earnings may not be as high as you think. CMS only dealing with earnings up to £156K per year.

    What if you have been paying for year and then throw a DNA test you find the child is not yours, would they need to pay the money back to you?

      They are able to pay you and caim from the other person. However experiences of others has not been that way. Many have taken the ex to small claims court to recover the money.
