  • DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
    DISCALIMER
I will not be responsible for anyone who try's this and blows themselves to hell.
This video is for educational purposes only.
An example of how you can run scraped and free solar panels directly into appliances with a heating element or a brush motor without the need of an Inverter or Batteries!

universal motors, like in a vaccumecleaner run on ac and dc , so yes, they do work directly off solarpanels. a heating element is just a resistive load , it doesnt care if it's ac or dc.

Even Ryobi corded lawnmower and line trimmer works to do the lawns where house power supply cannot reach.

smart man, makes me wish I lived in Australia, gives new meaning to the expression, land of the free,
thanks bruv, I hope one day I can run everything this way, I would not be able to even see a solar panel that big in the UK, and it would cost a small fortune too big for me,

But how do you connect the appliances direct? They can burn

U, R, such a genius bro. How many watt are the panels.?

      Holla,
All up it works out to be about 1000W

Hello, have you tried heating water for domestic purposes with the PV panels.

I have 4 panels @34v each, wired in series. 2 are connected to the bottom element and 2 connected to the top element. Mind you, these bottom 2 panels have the glass shattered and coated with the clear Flex Seal. They still put out 34v each. This photovoltaic array combination are heating an electric water heater salvaged from a mobile home. I did not change heating elements. I have it plumbed in just before my small rv water heater and the water gets really hot year 'round. Some days hotter than others. I have plenty of hot water for showers, washing dishes, what have you. Don't tell me it won't work. Because I know it does. Have a great day!

How we have resolve switching problems , specially DC Arc when we do switch off?
Is there any better idea other than DC breakers and installing capacitors, which should work on both AC and DC power?

I am not an electrical engineer, but you need a switch at the inlet and not on the device unless its modified, it is easier to pre set the deice to its working configuration and then just switch the power on using a plug or a high voltage switch.

Use electrolytic capacitors in each power board, the capacitors absorb the arc or use dc rcd switches, I am using these methods in Melbourne, have got old panels for almost nothing, put these in series to make 240 volts, run induction cooker, kettles, electric cooking devices directly from it. In Melbourne these panels are almost free, I am using DC isolators near the load and also near the panels, so I can switch off from both switches to increase the safety. You can find 500v capacitors from old electronic circuits.

example i do is ...solar panel plug in to 24v dc to 12v dc convertor then plug to a pure sine wave invertor say 300watts to convert the 12v dc to AC then plug in to appliance...there are plenty youtube vids...search run solar with no batteries

@@sepracon Hi where are the best places to pick these old panels up in Melbourne?
      Where to look?

What's the correct term for this? P V direct? And I'm really curious about your 800 degree storage system. Who needs batteries?

He seems like a mix between Johnny Depp and someone from the movie, Tombstone 🪦 I'm thinking Doc Holliday
