Did u pick with roll of throttle ? Also. Where did u get the bike? Only seeing them on alibaba. How is this bike stock? Could it handle the stuff you just did?
The lower voltage is theoretically more efficient from what I've been told in the drone world. But efficiency is relative if your roosting on it. Endurance-wise, watt-hours to watt-hours a lower voltage setup will go further. The reason being that the fets on the speed control hold the current on each fet longer and arent switching as much so you gain more push from every pulse. The exception would be if the battery is running hot. Cool thing about higher voltage is you get more working watts at lower amp draw therefore you can run lower C cells and carry higher energy density cells in the same given space without worrying about over working them.
I honestly think it takes some getting used to but now I love it for sure! the extra noise of the chain also is a good indicator of how fast you're going. With the belt it's hard to tell just by sound
Your area looks just like mine. My buddy lives in Sand Point as well. I am in Bend OR. If you stand up while riding in the snow and ice. Or stand up in technical terrain in general. You have more control and you use your legs as suspension. I stand 90% of the time but I am 6'3" tall. Have fun out there.
Nice ride. I think I run just as well with 60v setup on BAC4000 though :) I run 12KW, 430 phase amps, 52t sprocket. It rips like an animal, always traction limited, not power.
I believe it! My next build is going to be a 60v And I plan on doing a lot of comparison videos. The main thing you get with the 72 V and 8000 is more efficiency but depending on the weight and rider style that could probably be canceled out pretty easy
@@EdwinOlding higher voltage only enables higher RPMs on the motor. When you are spinning on lower RPMs, phase voltage is determined by the motor and doesn't depend on the battery voltage. Main gain with BAC8000 is that you get up to 860 phase amps, which translates into 2x the max torque that BAC4000 provides, and you get this advantage on both 60 and 72v at lower RPMs.
@@EdwinOlding well I have a computer and I can video with my phone and upload I just don't no how to put the videos together is there any editing apps or websites that I can download to edit my videos?
NICE!! WHich battery is that? THe 21700 Battery Packs? or 18650? is it 32ah or more?. I like how it dosent protrude too high is why I am asking...thanks
Can’t use 72v & 60v. Would burn out the battery as when you buy the upgraded controller it’s tuned to draw 72v or 60v depending on which battery you get.
No, I’ve been at half the full throttle for almost an hour and it was warm to the touch but that was about it. I have friends with 72volts that I’ve had it wide open in the sand for a full battery with no problems. Pretty soon I will have a screen that shows motor temp So I will make a video about that when it comes
With the upgrades you have what is the approx total price of the bike ??? I would like a suron but would need the upgrades to make it worth it .... so with bike and upgrades I'm assuming I'd be looking at the 10 thousand dollar range??
No the damage wasn't that bad. Because the stock controller and battery are still worth a lot let's say you spend $2,700 on the upgrades but then you have a brand new battery and controller from the stock bike that you can sell for 1500. I will do a full video on this once I finish my build and get everything tuned up but power brakes and if you're tall handlebars and then you're good to go
You can buy a pedal kit for it from Luna cycles I think it's $150. If you look at the bottom of the description on Luna I'm pretty sure there is a link to people who get VIN numbers for them so you can take them on the street
Damm that’s not bad! They have any power stock ? I live Long Island NY , cops always chasing kids on dirt bikes , that E-bike go hit trails in the morning no one would even no I’m there lol
@@BrianK-pd4bu Yeah they have similar power to a 110 about six or 7 hp stock. Which is a lot for 110 pound bike! I’ve done wheelies passed cops on the street before in town with no problems haha
Anyone interested in a supermoto wheel set? I had Josh from WICKED WHEEL WERKS make me a set of red anodized rims with black spokes & black spoke nipples with Michelin City Pro slicks. Both wheels come with brake disc & the rear sprocket in black. Brand new & never used.
Woooow. And how many times can you climb this hill before your battery get flat?:):):):) 10 times? Heh. This is just senseless. These bikes just don't have a usable range.

did you get your surron??!
The price is $4100 now. I got one more month then I'll have enough
My subwoofer liked this intro very much, and so did my neighbors
Great content Edwin! Always look forward to your videos!
Thanks! Happy to hear it!

Hell yeah we shredded this past weekend and told my buddies about your helmet mount.
Awesome!
Can't wait to get back on my bike!

Test drive? I always thought you ride a bike, drive a car/truck. Solid video.
You’ll have to come back when it’s all dry, th sand is a different beast
I will for sure!
Hell yeah
Nice having that extra power 😃🤙
For sure!
Sick bike ! Love to see you on a nice smooth motocross track with some hard pack 🤘🏼
Yeah it is a blast!
If only it were soft, dry, deep sand...like around here. Well done!
Oh it will be soon! I will do another video in those conditions in a couple weeks when it dries up
@@EdwinOlding It looks like power will not be much of an issue; I am curious about the sand flotation of the tires
@@garypaisley That will be interesting to see for sure. Upgraded wheels are really expensive so it might be a while until I get this build that far
you can fit a 100/90-19 on the back. Have to shave the right side knobs and dish the wheel but it works way better.

Hey that is awesome! I've watched most of your E Honda videos! It would be sick to ride together sometime!
You should try paddle tire in the rear, I don't think anyone's done it yet on a sur ron
Very cool. Did anyone on the sur-rons have any problems with water getting into places that it shouldn't? Any issues with all that dirt?
Man these things are cool great vid!
