    I am a bit confused... Will I not be able to use my rotary if I don't have the Manufacturing Extension? I'm on the regular yearly plan (not sure if it has a name, it just said "Buy Fusion 360").
    I haven't looked into anything regarding CNC'ing and toolpaths yet, or the manufacturing workspace at all actually (haven't assembled my cnc & rotary). But everybody talks about the Manufacturing Extension in any video I could find about rotary, which I checked and it's crazy expensive, just to do a table leg or something like that.
    Will I not be able to do anything with Fusion for the rotary, just having the regular Fusion 360 subscription?

    Can you make a simple cylinder with wrap option? I just don't understand this. I have a wooden cube and i want to transform it in a short stick which is cylindrical.

    it would be great to see how i could use my swiss style screw machine with fusion 360 but there isnt a generic post

    This seems like a complete dummy/noob question... but only because I am! So... what if you just want to machine an axially symmetric part, but there's no "pocket" to machine? Like given e.g. a cone, how do you machine that (imagining as either (a) fast rotation, slow axial movement or (b) fast axial movement and indexed rotary movement to control stepover). Thanks!

    I need some help!
    I've been trying to make a slot through a tube, looking at it from the side. The walls of the slot in the front and back are perfectly straight because the cutter runs along them with the A-axis but I cannot get the side walls of the slot to become straight because the Y-axis doesn't move. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I've played around with multi axis machinig but I think that's more suited for 3D shapes.

    Hi, Newbie here, please... Where can I get beginner tutorials about Fusion 360?

    Do you have a tutorial on how to draw this part.
    Thanks for the great video.

      Thanks for the kind feedback Bheki. We don't have a tutorial for drawing this part unfortunately. I can bring this feedback to the team.

    its a cool toolpath but i am missing one thing i wuld like to be able to do "wrap" it to the inside of a diameter like slotting out a quaterpipe... that wuld help me alot to work around the missing 5 axis campfering

    @autodesk what is, if its not cilindrical and if the depth is variating?

      4 axis rotary within the extension can be used in some situations as its more model aware and is true 4 axis, in comparison to 4 axis wrap.

    Does it use 4 axis simultaneously ? Or Z axis is on the bottom and uses x,y and rotating axis ?

    • @martinmarriott3607
      @martinmarriott3607 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not 4 axis simultaneous. What is normally XYZ is converted to XAZ.

    Can the the wrap tool option do roughing to?

    • @dylansmith3989
      @dylansmith3989 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure can JC. It works for 2D adaptive and 2D pocket which are roughing solutions.

    How do you get the 4th axis to move instead of the tool moving?????

      @@dylansmith3989 Yes
      Normally we I program a part in the 4th axis and you run the simulation the tool goes around the part meaning the part it doesn’t move the tool is the one moving.
      In your simulation it’s the other way around. The tool it stationary and the part it’s spinning.

      @@arnoldo24 In your simulation setting so right click toolpath > simulate > change view point from tool to model.

    All is fun and games till the component is like an oval or something, then fusion will throw a fit and refuse to generate any tool paths !
