I really like how this is an actual discussion with different points of view and opinions. Usually these kinds of things are just a circlejerk, where everyone repeats what the other already said.

Okay, i stopped at around 12 minutes because i wanted to pay my respect to Michael (Villain)! Man my respect is even higher then before for you! Yes, of course, there is a difference between a truck driver and a dj. But Villain is right: the pressure for the truck driver can be hard too! A truck driver needs to take into account different things. Respect rest hours, be on time to wherever he needs to be etc...
I also think this video is good for showing people that the dj life isn't only fun and money. They also have their issues, they are humans just like you and me. I have much respect for all of them !

A planner from the company i work (a Distribution centre from a supermarket) also has a lot of pressure
He has to plan enough people to finish all the orders before a centain time
But planning to less, gives stress too the people who need to finish the orders on time, and planning to many people costs the company loads of extra money and the planner can lose his job in the end
So yea imo every management job has their own struggles

Great video and discussion of a very, very important topic! 👍 I'm glad seeing that the importance of mental health gets publicity in the music industry. Because artists are not a product in my opinion. They are human beings and I have lots of respect for everyone, who works so hard to archieve his dream in making music!! 💖🙏
And I think the music industry in general should take more care about this topic of mental health. Making money out of art is not everything. Thanks for posting this Tim 😉

It's a part of being human. We need to be more mindful of others and realize there are all kinds of people going through something similar, no one is alone in mental health.

I prefer good music over music that sounds rushed
I like the music you make and similair to yawyaw don't feel rushed to make as many tracks as possible only release tracks in which you are proud of
I had this same talk with Dysis, a very good (not so famous) euphoric hardstyle producer who sadly quited a few months ago, he made tracks for 5 years and released only 30 tracks/(he wasn't on a label btw, he didn't wanted that)
I asked him a couple times (via facebook messenger) when new music will come out, because i liked to hear more from him.
He sad he felt guilty to his fans like me, that he didn't released his tracks with a high tempo.
I immediately, said to him that he shouldn't be feeling guilty like at all, and just take all the time he needs to make a new track.
He really appreciated it when i said it :)
I mean making a good track sometimes is finished in a day but sometimes takes months to complete and that is fine.
A good example is the track Hypnose & Airtunes- Shaman
That was first heard on 17 february 2017 in a recap from a producerscamp and was officially released on the label almost a year later on the 1st of match 2018 since they searched for the right vocal to use in the track, and it was well worth the wait 😇

The fact that these people are all trying to communicate through English feels a lot like it limits their thoughts and whatever they are trying to express and say to each other and the audience. I'm sure they had so much more to say :/

I was hoping this question would have been brought up, as I think it fits well with the topic, so I will ask it here:
Tim, you spoke out in a Dutch article about having anxiety regarding the production of new tracks, and feeling like they weren't up to your standard (even though I'm sure they were bangers, like every release has been). Have you found a good way to combat this feeling, and how're you dealing with it today?
If any producers have a similar feeling, feel free to post your side of your story too :)

I find it interesting that when Christian, the Aairport Festival CEO, asked his question Headhunterz' eyes lit up. It really makes you wonder whether these events and festivals are really treating these artists as people or just as tools to make money. That's a bit of an extreme way of putting it, but it still makes you wonder. 🤔

They are surely very harsh to them, especially when artists are running late because of the flights.
For instance Don Diablo got in a big fight with Ultra Music Festival in a similar way and got banned from playing at Ultra for good.
