    when i try to meditate a pressure, tension builds inside. The more I concentrate the more the pressure increases. But if a very important life situation happens suddenly and I instinctively transfer all my intention to it, then I experience the wave of peace and stillness. But I cannot induce that transfer of intention "artificially" myself by concentrating. I'm only making it worse by concentrating. There is a subtleness I know is there but it escapes me. This is a problem for me because there is a lot of anger and resentment in me because of a certain never ending life situation and it is creating health problems. I need to learn to let go, but Im just making things worse.

      Just be aware of the pressure and be aware of this sensation and the thought .. do not fight it , just know you are feeling this sensation and thinking this thought then go back to your breath or sound..

    • @TheDa6781
      @TheDa6781 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@winsomecohall2250 that is like being aware of pain while poking yourself with a nail but continuing to poke more and more. It leads to nothing good. It is like trying to learn how to ride a bicycle. If you use the wrong technique, you'll just keep falling and hurting yourself. The right technique still eludes me. The best I can do is note. Observe the feelings and thoughts as I go about my day, investigate and find out how I react to certain situations and why I react the way I do. It leads to useful insights every so often.

      I am going through lots of thoughts and sensations (aversion) I’m learning from him not to fight them not to name them good or bad but to be aware of the thoughts and sensations observe them then if it’s too much go to sound .. I have most sensations in my stomach and upper back now that I listen to him over and over I’m feeling much better , because I’m not trying to get rid of it or pray for it to be over or think that later it will be gone , I’m not even trying to name or control my mind anymore or my thoughts, they come and go .. so I’m practicing

    I'm bit confuse, never understood that. Im aware always about my pain sensation, anxiety, negative emotions and that why going on depression. Why is necesary to focus more on my sensations to increase actually the negative emotions?
    Thank you🙏Much appreciated

    • @FourTetTrack
      @FourTetTrack 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don't think the aim is to "increase the negative emotions". Depending on many conditions, one of the aims is to befriend these sensations and understand that they don't need to be linked to negative emotions, but they are a perception. The negative feeling comes from a judgment of the sensation.
      To give a simple example, imagine a child crying very loud.
      - Some people will react with anger and irritation (why are not the parents doing something? what a spoiled kid! etc, etc).
      - Some people might just ignore it actively (not my problem).
      - And finally some people will react positively (I hope this child will be free of mental and physical pain).
      So sensations are a trigger. One idea is to remap this trigger to a positive feeling (ideally both love and compassion).

      I will provide a powerful process that can easily get great results while also using analogies that make it easy to apply. Whenever you meditate, do not try to control your thoughts just observe them instead. Soon, you will start to notice that, they would flow into your mind, they would come in, they would go out, they would eventually start to slow down. "The key to this is understanding that this is not about controlling your mind, that if you try to control, that will build resistance. Instead, allow the thoughts to be there and observe them from a neutral place. Now, in order to understand the neutral place, I've used this analogy before but imagine that you are sitting at a park on a park bench and you are just there observing your surroundings, just relaxing. If you watch people walk by, you're just observing them walk by. You're not judging them. You're not putting labels to them and if you do have, the mind puts a label on them, you're not identified with it. You're just observing what’s happening.
      Good luck :)

      Spirituality had a perfect example. My 2 cents? Meditation isn’t about focusing on that negativity. It’s about accepting it. Only by accepting it, can you build off it. This will allow you to grow. Eventually from this acceptance, little by little you will not feel the anger or sorrow as much as you once did. Hope this helps
