This is not a step-by-step guide, this just helps clear up some confusion. Please comment any further questions and I’d love to answer!

Use wire connectors or solder and tape. Using tape alone is bad news down the road

Ziad TCU I havent installed it yet (waiting on radio to ship), but I have the PAC OS2X kit and the PAC SWI module for my 2006 z71 Tahoe.
My red accesorie wire does not power up my radio sometimes. It happens every once in a while. Everythings hooked up properly. I bought it off amazon and im not the only one thats had the same problem

Is the subwoofer amp splice done between the head unit and rp5 or between the rp5 and the car harness?
How do i hook up the video plug you didnt use that i need for my rear factory tv, i could not figure it out!??
Looking at getting a 2019-present day Silverado/Sierra 1500 (probably a 5.3L or 6.2L). By any chance will this kit work on that truck?
Do I need the door chime plugged in for the stereo to work? And what would connect the dimmer to? Thank you.
I personally did not connect the dimmer. but the chime is part of the circuit
Having issue, maybe you can help. I've had this kit for 4 years, no issues. I just installed an amp and sub and it's not working. Didn't have 1 before. I ran the remote wire from the amp to the back of my deck. The amp turns on but only maybe 1% sound coming out of sub. Been scratching head just can't figure it out. Is that blue and white wire my problem?

does the chime come through the drivers door speaker, or does it come through the little chime speaker they provide?

Hey man me and my son connected a 7706s kenwood to his 2011 impala. His steering wheel control doesn’t work. I might have to use the blue u talked about for remote amp. Because I used the one from radio wouldn’t power on the amp. And even the sub output from the deck didn’t work to provide sound to the amp for subs. Don’t know if I got a bad deck. Never seen the remote wire not work or the sub line out not provide any sound. But I’m stuck on y the steering wheel controls won’t work.
not sure there, but i would see a specialist for that. diagnosing that over the web could be inaccurate
When you plugged in the steering wheel controls plug did you have to splice the blue wire into anything or not?? On ur video it looked as if the wire was just extra???
the extra wire for SWC is for certain models
How do the warning and turn chimes sound? Could you do a video? I hear some of these interfaces have cheap sounding ones or even buzzers.

How do you get the back up camera to work
It’s strange. I have the same harness. Hooked up the same exact way. And I have no sound. Like maybe 5% sound at most. I’m going to contact my stereo store and see what’s up. Any recommendations? Checked all connections
I've had that problem. The guy installing it fixed it somehow. Now, I removed that stereo and am trying to put it in a different vehicle. Now I have the same problem again. I don't know how it was fixed the first time, but it's most likely NOT your stereo.

I got android fr Amazon or eBay,. Hooked everything up and have no sound,?? Idk,. Anybody ideas??
If I’m using aftermarket amplifiers. Do I need to connect the aftermarket stereo speaker wires to the pac module ? Not sure if that’s needed for the chime module to work.

i would remove the system and change the switch. there is a reset and calibration procedure in the manual that you can reference
Did you have any wires for parking brake input + /parking brake input -
He may not have but the light green to turquoise green wires are the parking break.

What do you do if the head unit you're installing isn't one on the dial of the RP5-GM31? Mine is Planet Audio..

The blue and yellow wire that is taped to my AV IN plug should be connected to what? Or is it not used?
It will be determined by what radio brand you have, only Kenwood and JVC use the blue/yellow while most of the others use just the plug
@@jeremiahkoontz4187 there’s also a brown wire next to the blue yellow wire. What is that? Does a resistor need to be in line with the steering wheel wire? My radio is a kenwood. 2010 Silverado.
I believe you gave some incorrect information. According to the directions, the blue wire with yellow stripe does NOT connect when using a pioneer. On the back of a pioneer, atleast my AVH 2330 NeX , the SWC 3.5 mm plugs into the W/R port on pioneer.

Just installed a radio using this harness. Does your radio happen to reboot when starting the engine?
All radios do that. The starter requires enough current, power is disconnected from the radio while the key is in the start position. Causing it to have to reboot after the vehicle is started
Hi. I have install an aftermarket radio using the pac rp5-gm31. The radio comes on but no sounds. What could cause that?
I have same problem but when I wire my speaker straight from the radio harness I get sound

I’m having issues with my swc on my 2010 Silverado I have the power and grounds all right the setting to 7 for pioneer and the 3.5 in the right port and steel nothing it doesn’t register. Any advice or help.
there is a calibration button on the side of the big module, id recommend contacting pac support

that there is a separate remote wire being run to the aftermarket amp 2 to 1 splice

The Silverado has 2 different kits contact PAC for Fitment details
Where did you run the amp turn on wire?
I intercepted the blue/white wire and sent the turn on wire with the main power wire to the trunk.
that allows the amp to turn on the factory amp, and the sub.
How do you repin the wires on the harness?
With this harness setup there should be no need to re-pin. But I will look into making a video for it.
@@RocketGarage1965 I have a similar harness but they told me I would have to repin 4 of the wires to get my rear speakers to work.

I got the bose system but it says mid and woofer. I don't think I got a sub stock. Do I? Didn't see it in the mastersheet.

Why didn't you show how you connected the sub in the trunk?
at the time i did not think of that
@@RocketGarage1965 it's ok I got it all done. Shoulda uploaded the video. Play soldered all the connections and it's super legit.
do you still need a bypass for the reverse if you use the rp5-gm31?
no bypass used on my system, but i have no camera installed, sorry for late reply
Those wires are irrelevant because he has no backup camera and doesn’t want to watch DVD’s. Ppl are asking questions and he doesn’t respond. Foh.

Frenzyyy yup same exact problem I had but I juts bought an android radio that was plug and play and it didn’t do it snymore
had the same problem in heat. been working on a solution, will post follow up if i have any ideas
