Never replaced pads on a bicycle before, done them on cars etc. Was thinking it might be an ass and all fiddly and stuff! But its actually very basic. Cheers for this video :)

Hello. So it is not obligatory to remove the wheel to change the brake pads if the brake caliper is removed? Thanks in advance.

thank you! worked perfectely, I had no idea it was so easy
anyway, 1 question: is there any reason why at 4m38s you don't complelety screw the screws?

You only do the bolts up properly after you've squeezed the lever to centre the caliper. If you don't do this the pad on one side will probably be closer to the disc than the other. Have a look at the mounting hole visible at 3:24, it isn't round, there is some sideways play in both holes to allow the caliper to be centred before tightening.

Why do so many brake pad replacement videos here on TH-cam require removing the WHEEL, when releasing a couple of little bolts let you simply lift the caliper off the disk? Now that I have seen TWO videos doing it this simple way, I am much more confident about tackling it myself. THANK YOU.

Hello. Have you been successful with this method? I also don't want to take the wheel off my electric bike. Thank you
