- In this video I go hot tent camping by a frozen lake. This was an absolutely beautiful location for hot tent camping! I got to try out the Pomoly Stovehut 70 hot tent for the first time and it was a lot of fun. After setting up camp I cooked some chili dogs on the wood stove for a delicious dinner! It snowed lightly for most of the trip and temperatures hovered around 32 F (0 C). I really enjoyed the lake view and mild winter weather. I hope you enjoy it too!

Brings back memories of my solo camping days. I always had tents with floors that kept my gear easier to maintain and cleaner.

Have you ever been to a place and had trouble finding dead wood to burn? I have had that problem before. Makes for an interesting outing!
Yes I have! It happens in most places I camp. This time it took me about an hour just to find and gather firewood. That's why I was burning a lot of smaller branches. Definitely makes things interesting!

That's a pretty versatile tent. Maybe a bit cramped, but the tent-stove combo is very good back-packing duo.

For those who cannot cut wood or build a fire quickly ,small gaz cartridges are perfect to heat up a small/medium size tent..!!
I do not recommend that for heating. It is very dangerous to burn gas inside of a closed tent for a prolonged period of time. There is a high chance of carbon monoxide poisoning.

great video,wish i was out camping and shooting pictures today,thanks for allowing me to feel as though i am again,i,ve gotten old but still manage to get out to the lake a few times a year for a couple of weeks at a time,take care and thanks again,by the way,i prefer my tents with floors,if i was youger i wouldn,t mind a floorless tent but where i camp at we get a lot of rain that sometimes runs like a stream through camp,i like to keep my camera equipment safe as well as myself.i can,t backpack anymore,my canvas tent would be too heavy to tote around.later

Great video! I love tent camping but how does one begin the adventure of winter camping like this?
Thank you! I would start small like camping in your backyard or close to your car. Get used to your gear and the cold weather before you try it far into the forest. It is a lot of fun but winter camping is more dangerous if you are not prepared and/or experienced. Oh, and watch my videos for tips 😉😄

Hi there, from Oregon also. Which CO monitor do you use? I just ordered this same set up yesterday, stove and tent. A little concerned about the tent with such a low price point, but we shall see. It's design looks great, but I'm a little concerned about the quality. Also how long do you reckon it takes to set up? I camp a lot in E oregon mountains and I can see a lot of minor struggling ahead for me with so many stakes in rocky areas. Thanks for the videos!
